In A Fantasy World I Can Absorbs Abilities
Chapter 315 - 315 Agrippa

The temple was shrouded in heavy silence.

Agrippa lay curled up on the marble floor, his body trembling. His shoulders quivered ceaselessly, and his hands, clasped tightly together, trembled with anxiety. Through the eye engraved on the barrier, he already knew—the sacrificial offerings had been released.

Now, a true sacrifice was required.

His tears soaked into the floor, slowly seeping into the stillness of the sacred space.

The news of the barrier's destruction had shaken Agrippa's world. To him, the protective shield encasing the island was more than a magical construct—it was a sacred shield, a symbol of Radiance's love, grace, and the blessing bestowed upon the island.

"O Radiance…"

His voice trembled, but it still held unwavering reverence and absolute trust.

"This servant was lacking. I should have offered more prayers. More devotion. A deeper faith. Forgive me… Please, do not forsake us."

He pressed his forehead to the marble, bowing even lower. His fingers clutched at the temple floor as his desperate prayers echoed through the corners of the sanctum, mingling with his sobs.

Yet, in the depths of his heart, something else began to take root—anger.

How dare they spy on and attack the sacred land of Radiance? They must be heretics.

Whoever possessed the strength to shatter the divine protection of Radiance must be powerful—and blasphemous. They were surely wicked souls, ones who scorned divine mercy and defiled the sacred.

"How dare they…"

His voice broke into a low growl, his tears now tinged with resentment directed at the enemy.

"How dare they defile Your holy providence? How dare they trespass upon the very island where You were born?"

Slowly, Agrippa lifted his head. His tear-streaked face still wore an expression of sorrow, but his eyes gleamed with sharp determination.

His gaze settled at the feet of the statue of Radiance. The gentle glow from the idol still enveloped him.

From the depths of his soul, his buried will surged forth once more.

Even if the barrier had been broken, it did not mean that Radiance had abandoned him.

This was a test.

Radiance had always tested his faith—and this time would be no different.

"O Radiance…"

He gripped the statue's pedestal, as if it were his last hope. His fingers clenched so tightly, they turned white.

His voice trembled again, but this time it was filled not with sorrow, but with obsession and fervent longing.

"I shall destroy the wicked ones who dared violate the sacred land. If You have not forsaken me, then use me once more as Your instrument."

He dropped to his knees and raised both hands high.

The will and yearning within his voice began to echo throughout the entire temple.

"Grant this servant Your power. In Your name, I will cast out these blasphemers. To fulfill Your will, I offer my body and soul."

Lying once more at the feet of the divine statue, Agrippa let out a deep breath.

Then, slowly, he rose and turned toward the temple doors.

In his hand was the ceremonial staff, prepared for sacred rites.

Each step toward the entrance grew more resolute, filled with purpose.

The path before him was the path of the divine—meant to glorify the name of Radiance.

No matter who the enemy was, they were the enemies of the divine.

And in the name of Radiance, Agrippa would judge them.

The great doors of the temple creaked open.

Sea wind rushed inside, breaking the stillness of the temple for a fleeting moment.

Standing at the threshold, Agrippa stepped forward from the dark shadow of the sanctuary.

His tear-stained face had hardened into steely resolve, and the ceremonial staff in his hand glowed like a symbol of sanctity.

Outside, in the vast plaza surrounding the temple, rows of silent priests stood in formation.

Their faces were expressionless, yet their eyes blazed like fire.

Dark hoods covered half their faces, but the eyes that peeked out gleamed with reverence—and madness.

In their hands were holy scriptures and daggers infused with the power of Radiance.

Some had already begun drawing blood from the backs of their hands and foreheads with those sharp blades.

These were offerings to Radiance—proof of their devotion.

As Agrippa slowly descended the temple steps, the priests all dropped to their knees in unison before him.

Their synchronized movement resembled a solemn ritual—precise, mechanical.

Yet not a word escaped their lips.

Faith and devotion did not need to be spoken—they were to be shown through action.

Still, even in the silence, Agrippa could sense their ragged breaths and trembling restraint.

It was not mere respect he felt.

It was worship, yearning—and something darker, a blind, fanatical fervor.

They were ready to give their lives—perhaps even their souls—without hesitation.

One word from Agrippa, one gesture, would set them into motion.

"You all felt it, didn't you?" Agrippa called out in a low voice.

It was soft, but the resonance reached every corner of the plaza.

"The island's barrier has fallen. Those who defy divine providence now seek to defile this land."

The priests let out a collective howl.

"But we will not break!"

Agrippa's voice rose.

His face twisted with a blend of conviction and sorrow.

"Radiance is still with us. And you—yes, you—are the proof! Your faith is the very testament that Radiance remains strong!"

As his words rang out, the priests' fervor exploded into raw, frenzied devotion.

Several priests sliced deep into their palms with ceremonial daggers, letting their blood drip onto the sacred symbols etched into the ground. Their faces twisted in pain, but grotesque smiles curled at their lips.

One priest slammed his forehead repeatedly onto the stone floor, praying as if his body would shatter. Another raised both hands toward the heavens, trembling as he cried out to Radiance.

Agrippa watched them in silence. The smile on his lips was cold and unyielding.

Through the eyes of the priests, he could see the will of Radiance.

Though the barrier had fallen, Agrippa's conviction grew stronger.

"Rise."

His voice cut through the silence once more.
