Immortality Starts From Making Money.
Chapter 83: Meeting with Matriarch Xu.

Chapter 83: Meeting with Matriarch Xu.

"Clan Leader Xu, I hope the journey wasn’t stressful," Mo Jian said, taking his seat.

Before him sat Matriarch Xu, wearing a light smile. "Young Master, not at all." She shook her head lightly.

"You don’t mind tasting this kid’s special tea, right?" He took out a jade box from his spatial pouch.

From the jade box, he took out dark green tea leaves to make tea for both of them without waiting for her response.

"That would be an honor," she responded with a hint of curiosity.

A minute later, a calm, strong fragrance rose from the tea. Inhaling the smell, Matriarch Xu wore a stunned expression.

Mo Jian saw the stunned expression on her face and smiled. This was the effect he wanted. His chamber had just harvested the first batch of the Azure Mist Grass.

"Please, have a taste."

Recovering from her shock, she nodded and took the tea cup gracefully. She took a light sip, and the warm tea traveled through her throat like a heavenly mist, cleansing her mind.

For a moment, she felt her thoughts grow clearer and all her fatigue swept away. Subconsciously, she closed her eyes to enjoy the sensation passing through her body.

"Impressive!" she muttered as she slowly opened her eyes.

Mo Jian did not respond as he continued to sip his tea while looking at her.

"Young Master, where did you find this tea?" she couldn’t help but ask.

"Find?" He shook his head. "This is the product of my chamber." He spoke casually, but she could sense the pride in his voice.

Before she could speak, Mo Jian interrupted her. "For now, it’s not for the public. But I can give you a few leaves."

"Ah. Young Master, thank you," she said with a light smile.

Mo Jian nodded and continued to sip his tea, waiting for her to speak.

"Young Master, this is all the details about the southern region and the closest cities and towns to our region." She took out a thin book from her spatial pouch and gave it to him.

Receiving the book, Mo Jian’s calm expression became serious as he skimmed through it.

’Hmm?!’ He creased his brow.

’So many bandits!’ he exclaimed in his mind.

Even though there were bandits in the western region, it was not as rampant as in the southern region.

Just at the border, there were over five powerful bandit groups, and one of them even had a few Core Refining warriors among them.

After a minute, he was done skimming through the book and nodded. The Xu Clan was meticulous in their process.

Everything he needed had been included in the book. The location they found for the interregional relay transmission hub was perfect.

As long as they set up the interregional relay transmission hub, setting up the subsequent relay transmissions would be a piece of cake.

"I’m pleased with this," Mo Jian smiled.

"I’m happy the Young Master likes it," Matriarch Xu responded lightly.

This was the first task given to them by Mo Jian. How could they afford to be sloppy about it?

"With this, my chamber can depart in about two months," he muttered.

Matriarch Xu widened her eyes slightly; she never expected him to leave the region so quickly. Beyond the western region, the dangers were numerous.

Any slight mistake could lead to one’s demise.

However, she did not voice her thoughts. For a young man of his age to have created such a powerful chamber, he was far from impulsive.

"Take this..." He gave her a white card with a series of numbers on it.

Receiving the card, she looked at him with confusion.

"That’s a ticket for the Cloudsoar Retreat. Go down to the second floor for registration."

’What!’

Apart from the rising football game, the most anticipated event was the Cloudsoar Retreat ticket sales. Most of the clans had been waiting patiently for the sale.

The top three clans had tried every possible means to get their hands on the ticket, but it was futile. Mo Jian’s control over his chamber was solid.

She recovered from her shock and gave him a deep bow.

"Young Master, thank you."

With this, her granddaughter could break through to the next stage in her cultivation.

Mo Jian nodded and did not respond as he took his tea cup. Seeing this, Matriarch Xu knew it was time for her departure.

With a light smile on her face, she left the Thousand Wealth Chamber feeling excited.

After her departure, Mo Jian left his study and went to the backyard.

In the backyard, a lot of men and women were working, carrying various loads. When they saw Mo Jian, they quickly paid their respects.

"Young Master, why have you come? You should have sent for me, and I’d have come to your office," Zhao Tian said with a light smile.

"I came to see the harvest..." Mo Jian responded, his eyes still on the heavy sacks.

"Ah, Young Master, we have a bountiful harvest for our first farming! I can’t imagine how much money we’re going to make from this!" Zhao Tian grinned.

Mo Jian shook his head. He wondered who loved money more between him and this damn fatty. ’I guess I love money more than him.’

Previously, his love for money was minute, but as he made more money, the euphoria he got from making hundreds of thousands of profit was heavenly.

He took a deep breath to throw the narcissistic thought to the back of his mind.

"How is the acquisition of the mines?"

This was the real reason he came to see Zhao Tian. With the rapid progress from the Mystic Mechanic, which shocked him greatly.

Thus, he needed to speed up his plan. They couldn’t continue to buy ores from other merchants any longer.

When Zhao Tian heard this, a flash of annoyance appeared on his face.

"Young Master, some of the clans increased the price by ten times."

Mo Jian had already expected this. But that did not mean he wasn’t furious.

"No matter the price, buy them quickly. But note them down. They can forget about using our Cloudsoar Retreat."

If they thought he was a soft persimmon they could trample, they were in for the shock of their lives.
