Chapter 131: Reason Behind the Auction.
For a few seconds, the auction room was eerily silent, as if the air itself had frozen.
Shock and disbelief hung heavily in the atmosphere.
Everyone was trying to comprehend the true extent of the Noble Grade Lightning Wind Carriage’s magical ability.
In truth, it was not just a carriage but a moving fortress, awe-inspiring and formidable.
Sun Na did not rush to begin the bidding. She allowed the audience to digest the gravity of the Noble Grade Lightning Wind Carriage before she cleared her throat.
"Now, I hope you’re ready to miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
"Who would be lucky to take home this great artifact?" Her gaze swept across the room, weighing each potential contender with keen interest.
Feeling the gaze, everyone sat straight on their seats as they waited for the Noble Grade Lightning Wind Artifact.
From the massive doors beside the auction room, five Jade Fang Lizards pulled a magnificent carriage into the auction room.
Looking at the carriage, everyone had their hearts in their throats. Their eyes widened in amazement.
Oh My World!
The carriage was dark red with carvings of many auspicious beasts. Each carving was lifelike as if they were alive.
The carriage was made from expensive wood that gave a calm, soothing smell.
It had a length close to five meters with six wheels made from rare and durable metal.
Additionally, both the carriage and Jade Fang Lizards were covered in pulsating runes.
The Jade Fang Lizards had silver armor around their heads, necks, and legs, adding to their grandeur.
To crown it all, an intimidating aura was emanating from the carriage, pressing down those in the Core Refining Realm.
In just a second, all the Core Refining warriors in the room were on their knees.
Gasp!
Gasps echoed in the room. No one expected the Noble Grade Carriage would be this domineering.
The Governor and the three sect masters watched the scene with their jaws agape.
Heavens!
How could a carriage have such intimidating pressure? they thought.
Standing on the podium, Sun Na smiled for a moment before she spoke.
"Oh! Sorry about that. Let me switch it off." she said and walked toward the carriage.
Quickly, she switched off the carriage’s aura and returned to the podium.
The Core Refining warriors wore bitter smiles on their faces. They were leaders of powerful forces in the capital.
Yet, a mere carriage had subdued all of them as if they were ordinary mortals.
Even though they found the situation shameful, no one talked about it.
"This is the Noble Grade Lightning Wind Carriage. One of a kind. Now, let’s begin the bidding."
"The starting price is..." She paused, her gaze swept across the nervous audience.
Even the three powerful sects could not hide their nervousness.
With such a carriage, their sect’s power would rise to another level.
In addition, it would raise the prestige of their sect. How many sects have such a powerful carriage?
None!
And when traveling between regions, they could relax. In the whole continent, how many Golden Core Experts were there?
Apart from that, if they were to face a difficult situation, they could easily escape.
With the terrain adaptation, they would not fear any region. Every region would become their playground.
Sun Na gazed at the three sect masters for a moment before she announced the starting bid.
"The starting bid is 10,000,000 middle-grade spirit stones. Each bid must increase by 100,000 middle-grade spirit stones."
"M-My..." a voice stuttered, his eyes widened in stupor.
The quiet elders from the Jade River Exchange and the Seven Talisman Hall shook their heads.
This was an unimaginable price. Even in the central region, the capital city, such a price was astronomical.
They had never heard of any artifact or item sold at such a huge amount of money.
Yet, in the small southern region, it appeared—but they did not think it was too much.
The Noble Grade Lightning Wind Carriage was worth such a huge price.
The Golden Pavilion leader shook his head, his eyes full of envy. ’How I wish it was my pavilion that was selling such a powerful artifact.’
The Leader of the Broken Moon Consortium was also stunned for a moment before she shook her head.
Her competition with the Golden Pavilion was nothing compared to the Thousand Wealth Chamber’s single auction.
To amass such a huge amount, they would have to work for three years. Yet...
On the podium, Sun Na watched the governor and the three sect masters like a predator staring at its prey.
"Before you start the bidding, let me add this clause," she said, shocking the audience.
What clause?
They were confused, but they waited patiently for her to continue.
She took out the Pulse Stone and showed it to them. "Do any of you know where we can find this stone?"
"Can we see it?" a voice asked.
"Of course, you can. Please pass it around." She gave it to the nearest person.
Quickly, the stone moved around, but no one knew what the jagged stone was. This was the first time they were seeing such a stone.
Sun Na wore a look of disappointment when she saw that no one knew the stone.
They had combed throughout the southern region but did not find any traces of the Pulse Stone Mine.
Suddenly, the Frost Moon Sect master held the Pulse Stone for a moment, creasing her brow.
"I’ve seen this stone before," she said casually.
"Really?!" A radiant smile appeared on Sun Na’s face.
"Yes. If you need it, I can take you there, but it is not free." she said; she raised her head and looked at Sun Na.
"Of course, it won’t be free," Sun Na responded with a bright smile.
"You can add this stone’s location as part of your bid. This is only applied at the end of the bid."
"Miss Sun, is this not biased?" the Nine Mountain Sect master asked with a deep voice.
"No." She shook her head. "You also can use another thing as part of the bid. I suggest you use land, mines, buildings." she advised.
When the audience heard this, they realized the Thousand Wealth Chamber was not only going to make a lot of money but was going to acquire a lot of properties.
Using one stone to kill many birds at the same time.
What a shrewd business plan?! they exclaimed in their hearts.
