Chapter 110: Trouble

[Congratulations! You completed the missions.]

[Reward: Mortal Tome of Spatial Storage.]

Mo Jian looked at the notification, and a light smile crept up his face. The Spatial Pouch was a rare artifact that only a handful of people could get their hands on.

According to rumors, it could only be made in the central region by a powerful chamber. For centuries, they had become a major power due to the sales of the Spatial Pouch.

But now, he had received the secret of the spatial storage. It was not limited to the pouch. It ranged from pouch, to belt, robe, and even spatial ring.

With this, his plan could move smoothly. Previously, he had been worried about the transportation of major artifacts from one region to another, but with this—

But now, he does not have to worry.

Quickly, he skimmed through the Mortal Tome of Spatial Storage, and his gaze focused on the easiest part.

The SkyLight Caterpillar.

The cocoon of the SkyLight Caterpillar had the ability to bend space, but the presence of its bright light made it impossible to detect its innate space ability.

"Young Master, the auction is over," Zhao Tian said, still grinning. "What is our next plan?"

Mo Jian stood up and looked down at the various clan masters and leaders. "We expand our influence."

Zhao Tian nodded. He understood the meaning behind Mo Jian’s statement.

Previously, they had been passive in the Purple Stone City, and now, they needed to be active.

While the two were planning their next action, the Purple Stone City was bustling with rumors about the Gold Grade Spirit Link.

"Is it true?"

"How would I know?"

"But I heard it is very beautiful."

"Yeah... I also heard that."

"Do you know how much it cost?"

"I don’t know, but it will be very expensive!"

Many were envious of the powerful clans for their wealth. If they had such wealth, they would have been eligible for such an auction.

Meanwhile, inside the Long Clan, the Long Clan master was furious.

Bang!

He threw a precious vase against the wall, and it shattered to pieces. "Those damned bastards!" he howled.

Never in his wildest dreams did he expect he would not be able to buy one of the Gold Grade Spirit Links. Just thinking of the disdainful expression directed at him after the auction made his blood boil in anger.

"I’ll make them pay. I will."

Behind him, all the clan elders looked at their clan master with various expressions on their faces. But the dominant emotion was anger.

Today, their clan had lost all its face. How could they raise their heads high with pride among the other clans?

"Clan master, why don’t we buy one from the Mad Lion Mercenary Leader?" an elder suggested. "I believe they will sell one to us."

’Hmm?’

When the elders heard this, they nodded.

"Agreed. We should go to the Mad Lion Mercenary Leader to buy one from him. He could just name his price."

"And if he does not agree?" another elder asked.

The grand hall was quiet for a moment before the first elder said coldly, "We kill him... but with a borrowed knife."

When they heard this, a look of realization appeared on their faces. This was not the first time they’d done such a thing.

"Good. We will do as you suggested. Let’s visit the Mad Lion Mercenary," the Long Clan master said coldly.

At the central district, inside a five-story building, the Mad Lion Mercenary Leader was toasting with a fat middle-aged man.

He was Merchant Tao, one of the biggest merchants in the Purple Stone City. He dealt with grains and silk.

Compared to others, he was low-key, and it was with his help that the Mad Lion Mercenary was able to buy the Gold Grade Spirit Link.

"Have you found the origin of this chamber?" the Mad Lion Mercenary Leader asked and took a swig from his alcohol.

Merchant Tao shook his head. "I didn’t. It’s like they appeared out of thin air."

"But I suggest we should not look further. As long as they don’t cross our path, we should mind our business."

"Agreed." He nodded and changed the conversation. "How long will it take your man to reach the next city?" The Mad Lion Mercenary Leader was getting impatient.

They needed to test the claim of the Thousand Wealth Chamber.

"Patient, my friend. Even with his top speed, he will need close to an hour."

"Humph!"

Just as they were waiting for Merchant Tao’s man to call, Mad Lion’s Spirit Link vibrated. He answered the call, and his expression changed.

"I need to leave," he said and left the room.

Merchant Tao was confused, looking at the departing back of his partner, and shook his head. He was just a mere merchant. What could he do if the Mad Lion was having a problem?

Without thinking too much about it, he continued to eat the delicious meal.

In the northern district, a crowd had gathered before a massive mansion.

"Tell your leader to come out right now, or he would have to contend with my Long Clan," Long Clan master threatened.

"Clan Master Long, the leader is not around. When he comes, I will relay your message to him," an old man responded, his face covered in sweat.

"Humph! Don’t think we don’t know what you’re doing, but we will make you regret it," the Long Clan’s first elder barked.

As the old man wanted to respond, Mad Lion arrived.

"What is going on here?" he demanded in a cold voice.

"Ah, Master, you’re back," the old man said, and a sigh of relief escaped from his mouth.

Looking at the Mad Lion, the Long Clan did not have any change in its expression, filled with hostility.

"Sell one of the Gold Grade Spirit Links to my Long Clan, and my clan will owe you a favor."

"Is that why you caused such a huge commotion in front of my home?" The Mad Lion was furious. What did they take him for?

"Get out! I don’t want to see your face again," he shouted.

He was known as the Mad Lion for a reason. How dare this clan look down on him?

’Hmm!’

The Long clansmen were stunned for a moment. They did not expect such a response from the Mad Lion.

"Are you sure you want to go against my Long Clan?" The Long Clan master was not intimidated, but his anger boiled fiercely.

"What is your Long Clan? Against my saber, you’re nothing." A thick bloodlust erupted from his body, filled with terrifying killing intent.

From a young age, he had been a mercenary hunting beasts for survival to his current cultivation realm at the Peak of Core Refining Realm Stage-8.

He had lost many times and had come close to death.

What was a mere clan against the dangers he had encountered?

"Good. Good," the Long Clan master nodded with an ugly expression. "Let’s go."

With that, the Long clansmen left the northern region with an unsightly expression. They arrived with powerful momentum and left in shame.

Just as they departed, the Long Clan master whispered to the first elder,

"Send a message to them."

"Clan master, are you sure?"

"Since things have reached this level, I don’t care any longer."
