Chapter 83. Chaos
Chapter 83: 83. Chaos
Anna didn’t know what she should say to Lucy.
She really has that bulletproof vest inside her space. It has been there for a long time because it was among the few items she took from the storage warehouse from her father.
To be honest, before this, Anna didn’t know that Mr. Williams have these things in his warehouse.
There were indeed some weapon stores in this country.
But the guns were all registered and every transaction was being heavily watched. No matter what, a gun is still a very important and strategic weapon. They would not be distributed randomly to other people.
Those who could own weapons were also those with registered license.
The bulletproof vest was naturally among the few things that were watched about their sales.
No one would sell them randomly on the street.
They were not so stupid.
And it was also because of this that the number of people who have bulletproof vest was very few.
Only a few people were eligible to own it.
This was the reason why Anna didn’t take them out. She didn’t know what reason she could give to explain why she has these bulletproof vests inside her space to her friends.
Well, this one could do.
For now.
When there was a chance to take them out logically without making other suspicious, then Anna will do it.
"Don’t dream too much," Mark reminded from the side. He nodded at Anna. "Thank you."
"It’s nothing much." Anna scratched the back of her head and smiled sheepishly. "Anyway, be careful. The chaos downstairs hasn’t ended yet."
"Don’t worry, I’ll be fine. Do you want to stay out here?"
Stay out here?
In the corridor?
Anna looked at the messy place filled with water, blood, and some other things mixed together. It was not exactly a beautiful sight.
"I better go to rest. Can you handle guarding by yourself?" Anna asked. She was honestly a bit worried about these two.
But thinking about martial arts or fighting skills...
Sorry, she was at the bottom.
"Don’t worry, with this large cushion, we will be much safer." Lucy grinned and put the large cushion right in front of her legs. After thinking for a bit, she put the blanket on the ground and sat down with the chair and cushion right in front of her, forming a defense.
The cushion was big enough to cover her entire body if she was to sit down cross legged like this.
Mark sighed and followed beside Lucy. There were a total of two big cushion that Anna gave them. He put his right beside Lucy’s.
It looked much safer now.
"Done." Lucy nodded in satisfaction.
"Be careful. This is different from our practice game," Mark reminded.
Lucy pursed her lips and nodded.
Practice game?
Anna thought about their school and sighed in her heart. To be honest, she was a bit curious about their game, but she didn’t really want to stay out here.
Not to mention, she did feel a bit sleepy.
It was a bit too early for her to wake up.
"I’m going to sleep for a few more hours. If there’s anything, just call."
"Got it."
"Don’t worry too much."
After getting their answer, Anna went back to her room.
...
The four of them were in tranquil situation. Two people were catching up sleep while the other two were standing guard at the front.
It was still dawn, yet there were already a lot of noises.
The people downstairs were fighting against each other. With the gun in hand, countless people were wounded and dying. The group that was previously very united were now scattered and moved here and there, trying their best to make sure that they were still alive.
Bang!
"We’re staying here for now." Jake hugged Betty and pushed her into the room in front of them. The people in this room were killed in the fierce battles outside, so they could stay here for the time being.
And since this is the 13th floor, it was much safer than staying at the eight floor and risked getting drowned.
There were also no other people.
*urgh*
Looking at the body inside the living room, Betty wanted to vomit.
This was one of the few rooms that the group cleaned up before.
Because there was only one person living in 1302, they could deal with him easily and killed him. But there were too many people in that group. Everyone wanted to live far away from the messy eight floor, so this one room was not enough.
They also attacked the 14th floor.
One room contained old people who lived there, so the group chose that one.
After that was done, they went to the 16th floor to find Anna. From John, they knew that Anna was living alone and this was naturally their prime target.
But who would have thought that her skills were so great?
Now, they fell into chaos.
The few people who were still alive from downstairs were rushing up and snatched the gun.
When the group of people came down, they started to shoot fiercely. No matter whether it hit or not, they tried their best to kill the group of people from the eight floor and caused a lot of deaths.
On the stairs alone, there were already more than 5 cold bodies.
Some people who were injured by Anna were already swearing and cursing.
Because they knew that if they were not treated soon, they will be infected. Once that happened, they might end up dying in this place without any chance to get out in the slightest bit.
It was very miserable.
"Uuuu." Betty’s mouth was blocked by John.
"Shut up, will you?" John was very irritated. They were lucky to come out when the bullets had run out.
If they had gone down earlier, they might also die because of the shooting.
That would be very miserable.
"John," Jake called with a frown.
"Sorry." John released Betty but he still glared at her with warning.
