Chapter 444. Settling the Plan
Chapter 444: 444. Settling the Plan
Old Master Daniels only rolled his eyes when he heard Dylan’s words. "You two can rest assured that Darien will do it."
"Yes, Grandpa."
"Thank you, Grandpa," Anna also replied.
"It’s nothing." Old Master Daniels laughed and then glanced at Uncle Darien, who quickly replied that he would definitely do it.
After that, Uncle Darien explained briefly about what Dylan had to do and some other things before the call was disconnected.
Uncle Darien heaved a sigh of relief when the call was over.
"You’ll spend more time training from now on," Old Master Daniels said slowly, "Leave part of the work that’s not too important to your secretary and let her handle it. You have three secretaries but they didn’t work much."
"They’re already working hard, Father." Uncle Darien was speechless.
These secretaries were the people whom he could trust to handle his works, which he had already given to them partially. Some other works could only be handled by him alone because of some reasons.
But for other works, they could be handed over to the secretary.
Uncle Darien would work himself to death if there were no one from the secretary who could help him out.
"Is it?" Old Master Daniels nodded and then sighed. "I’ve heard about what happened. You be careful next time."
"I know." Uncle Darien smiled sheepishly.
It seemed that he had to recruit more secretary to divide his works. Thinking about the things under the two commoner leaders had to be divided among them again, Uncle Darien felt tired.
There were simply so many works to be done.
When it was done, he had to squeeze some time to practice too.
*sigh*
...
Research Institute.
The night passed by quietly and in the morning, Derek looked at Alicia who came again with surprise. He didn’t expect to see her so early in the morning as Alicia was not very fond to come to the research institute.
It was more because the researchers were too enthusiastic for her, making Alicia a bit overwhelmed.
She felt that she didn’t do much for them, but they were so kind and excited when they saw her, making her felt a bit guilty to waste their time. So occasionally, Alicia would only come when she had something to do with the research institute.
"I’m here to check the one from yesterday," Alicia replied.
While the researchers had to seal the dull powder and so on, but they would never give up on researching the method that Alicia told them.
After all, this could potentially help them to become much stronger by leaps and bounds. If they were not using this chance to the fullest, then they should have resigned because this position didn’t seem to be suitable for them anymore.
Derek nodded. "I see."
Alicia smiled bitterly. "And at home, my uncle is a bit worried and asked me several questions. Unfortunately, I failed to see what he wanted to see."
Alicia’s ability was a bit strange and a bit unpredictable as she was unable to see what she wanted to see until at a certain time. And yesterday, Alicia found out that due to the big mutated animals’ attacks, there were many people who died, including important people.
Thus, the power would be shuffled once again.
And during this period of time, Uncle Matthias would have to work more carefully to make sure that other people wouldn’t be able to catch any loopholes from him and take advantage of him.
Thus, Alicia was under pressure.
She also wanted to help her uncle because she knew very well that if her uncle were to fall, then she would not have any good ending either.
Unfortunately, she failed to see anything after she fell asleep last night. Feeling a bit guilty, Alicia ran to the research institute under the pretex of seeing what she had shared to them last night and reminded them to be careful.
After all, if these dull powders were to spread again like yesterday, there was no telling what these big mutated animals would do.
Their base could no longer withstand such tossing because if these big mutated animals were to attack again, it was estimated that City A Base would definitely be destroyed.
"Don’t worry, I’m sure Jules Family will be fine," Derek consoled Alicia.
"Thank you." Alicia smiled. "Right, how’s the investigation going? I heard that there are some people who intentionally do it?"
She felt that it was strange for these people to know that the dull powder would attract a large number of big mutated animals from their smell alone. After all, this knowledge was not spread out and there were supposedly not many people who knew about this.
"Ah, about that." Derek thought for a moment and then said, "We’ve already compiled the evidences but there are some things that are lacking. Our plan is to give these to the other leaders’ tomorrow morning after we finish sorting everything."
Alicia heard it and nodded.
Derek thought about his promise with Sean.
He did promise to give these to Sean first, but it was impossible for him to send everything because many of the parts were not things that he could touch with his identity.
It was a pity since he felt that Sean would be more interested in those.
But it didn’t matter.
In the afternoon, he would send these things to Sean and made sure that Sean could make a good use of it.
Derek was sure that a good drama would unfold soon when these people found out about what had happened in the research institute and how for the sake of their schemes, countless people were sacrificed under these big mutated animals’ claws.
Things would definitely become even more exciting in the near future.
