Chapter 412. The Follow Up
Chapter 412: 412. The Follow Up
Jill has come back from her team.
Her job could be said to be the easiest in the family because she basically could earn a lot of contribution points just by using her ability once a day on those plants. Even though it would take some time for these plants to grow, but when they did, the result was very good.
It would help others to advance in their abilities, which was why Jill could get a lot of contribution points.
Those vegetables would be handed over to the team, which she couldn’t use.
But with the contribution points she earned, Jill was not living that badly in this base.
She listened to her uncle and aunt discussing about her so called sister in law and Jill sneered. How could she not know that it was Betty who came closer to her cousin Jake. And this Betty was very annoying in Jill’s opinion because she was very proud and coquettish.
It was harder to get along with Betty compared with getting along with Anna in the past.
Jill also didn’t mind siding with Anna when talking about Jake because she knew that her cousin was indeed quite a scumbag.
Not that she was surprised, though.
With the education he received, if he could still become a proper man, then Jill would be more surprised.
Now, listening to the yell and scream from the other side of the room, Jill only sneered. She hoped that Betty could stay far away from her cousin as much as possible. This way, her ear would be cleaner as she didn’t have to listen to Betty’s words anymore.
...
Bang!
The fight on the other side of the room ended with Betty being locked in her room and not getting dinner.
In this current world and situation, not being able to eat dinner was already the worst situation punishment. Because many people couldn’t get enough to eat and thus, food was extremely valuable.
So, not being allowed to eat when there was food available was naturally a very big punishment that one didn’t want to experience if it was possible.
Betty was angry.
’Damn it! Why is always her again and again?’
Betty smashed the pillow in her room in exasperation. She wanted to yell at her family members for caring about Anna more than her but she also knew that her father would only get angrier.
She knew that much.
But she felt so much grievances in her heart because she didn’t want her father to pay attention to Anna in the slightest bit. Why should Anna be able to live well while she has to live miserably?
What she didn’t think was that her life was already much better compared to many other people who came to City A Base. They had to work hard every single day just to be able to eat enough while she didn’t have to work at all and her father and brother would provide for her.
But for Betty, it was not enough.
As the pampered young miss, Betty only felt that she should be able to get everything she wanted without the need to care about it.
Her family used not to care about the little money.
But now, things had changed.
Betty couldn’t accept it at all.
She was crying in her room but no one cared about her and instead discussed what they wanted to do in the living room. Knowing that Anna was also in City A Base, they wanted to find a chance to see her and possibly asked for her help.
Since she was married to the Daniels Family, then her current influence should be pretty good.
But they needed to know more first.
"I’ll try to ask Betty where she lives first," Mrs. Williams said.
No matter how much she didn’t like Anna, but she also knew her husband’s plan was to make a good use of this daughter of his. Since that was the case, then she could only try to coax Betty and made promise to her.
Anyway, as long as they were able to live better in the future, what was wrong with making use of that annoying girl?
Mrs. Williams was willing to bend and stretch as long as she was able to benefit in the end.
Mr. Williams nodded. "If she has a lot of contribution points, then we can go and ask her for some."
Thinking about the contribution points that was docked from his account, Mr. Williams felt pain in his heart. He hoped that he could confront Anna directly and said that Betty didn’t mean it.
But he also knew that coming directly to Anna wouldn’t help in this situation.
It would be better for him to think of a way to convince Anna first and then one way or another, they would be able to get out of this situation.
"Yes." Mrs. Williams agreed.
Brian had come back home and listened to what his sister had done. He could only rub his forehead in exasperation. Many times, he truly couldn’t understand what was in Betty’s mind because he felt that she was really stupid.
What could they do to bully others right now?
They were nothing more than refugee from Sunshine Base who didn’t have high foothold yet.
She was so stupid that she couldn’t see the current situation, so Brian felt rather exasperated. He hoped that she would be able to grow up sooner because having such a sister was too tiring.
"If we can make a good use of this connection, then it would be good," Brian added.
Mr. Williams nodded.
So the next step would be to find Anna and try to coax her.
The three of them discussed how they should treat Anna when they see her and how to coax her. After all, they had treated her quite coldly in the past year and it was estimated that Anna would not forgive them easily.
So they had to figure out how to make her willing to help them.
