Chapter 387. Paper
Chapter 387: 387. Paper
Jill looked at Brenda, who looked surprised, and felt rather confused. "Why are you so surprised? Most people are only at rank 2 now and even my cousin is of similar rank. In our base, there’s no one who’s above rank 2."
They had seen the requirement for rank 3 and many of them couldn’t reach it. Thus, they were all still in rank 2 if they had to be evaluated.
But since they were not in the official base, it was hard to get the evaluation.
Brenda looked at Jill and then said, "But didn’t you... I mean, can your plants help you with your practice?"
"Plants help with practice?" Betty was confused.
"If you mean training my control, then it’s indeed true. But I’m not very good at growing the plants and more about control," Jill replied. Her ability was not exactly a secret and many people already knew it.
Anyway, she would just not tell others about her moves if it was unnecessary. There was no need to show her entire card to others.
But this much was fine.
Brenda was stunned.
"Brenda?"
"No, I... I..." Brenda stuttered and looked rather flustered.
The other two looked at each other, not understanding why Brenda acted so strange right now.
...
Anna and the other’s side
Anna explained about how it was done and the others helped her to write it all into paper form. To be honest, as someone who hadn’t entered university yet, Anna felt that these papers looked rather strange.
Thankfully, Alicia was familiar with it and helped her to arrange the wordings and all so that it would fulfill the requirement. Scientific papers had a lot of requirement just from the format alone, so it was good to have someone who could help.
After a few hours, their work was finally finished.
"It’s finally done..." Anna sighed deeply. "If I had to follow the original course of going to the university normally, I’m sure that I would have never completed this."
Dylan patted Anna’s back to console her.
Well, one of the good thing for students right now was that they didn’t have classes to attend. But the disadvantage was that they had to act as if they were already an adult and provide for their family.
For many people, it was not exactly a good thing to grow up so quickly.
Both Dylan and Anna were already 18 years old, approaching 19 years old by now, so they were considered an adult. Even though they have missed the period where they should have continued their study, some people around their ages didn’t even continue their study even in time of peace.
So they didn’t miss much.
As long as they were able to provide for their living in the end, who cares about their education level?
"You will follow the classes and somehow completed it after four years of studying," Alicia said with a grin. "Anyway, how does it feel to write paper four years in advance?"
Anna looked at Alicia speechlessly. "Don’t tease me, Sister Alicia."
"Hahaha!"
"Oh right, there’s something that Professor Ken wanted to give to you." Alicia turned to the back and saw Professor Ken coming.
"This is for you." Professor Ken stepped forward and handed a pass to Anna.
"This is?" Anna was confused when she looked at the pass in her hand. It seemed similar to the pass that Alicia had.
"You’re now a member of the research institute, so this is the pass for you to enter the research institute," Professor Ken explained.
Anna looked at loss. "When did I join the research institute?"
"Your details are all encrypted in the research institute database and no one will be able to see it," Professor Ken smiled. "In short, you’re now a member of the research institute and protected by us."
Anna: "..."
Can she take back the membership status?
She felt that it was quite strange how she hadn’t even graduated from high school and yet, she was able to join the research institute.
Fate truly played a strange trick.
Dylan thought about the benefit of having the research institute behind them and patted Anna’s shoulder. "It’s a good thing."
Anna glanced at Dylan and finally kept the pass.
Anyway, she trusted Dylan. Since he said that it was a good thing then she would accept it and treat it as such.
Professor Ken nodded at Dylan and then added, "Since you’re now a member of the research institute, you can browse our forum and also participate in various discussion. There’s a special section in the base’s app for the research institute members. All you need to do is to put your number inside and it will update automatically."
Anna was surprised. "How convenient."
There were many things in the research institute that was definitely very interesting. Anna has been curious about whether there were any training or not from the research institute, so now this would be the perfect chance for her to take a look.
"Also, if you have a project that you want to do, you can apply for the fund after submitting the basic plans. As long as the plans are approved, then the funds will definitely be given..."
Professor Ken explained some other basic benefit that Anna could use. Though, it was unlikely that she would use them, but knowing what she has and could do was always good.
Just in case she wanted to use it in the future.
After it was done, Anna asked with a strange tone, "Why does it sound that I’m an important part of the research institute?"
Professor Ken only smiled and didn’t explain.
After it was done, he left and Derek came to them. "Professor Black told me to escort you out and pick your cat. That cat has been very noisy in the waiting room."
"Ah right, Kitty!" Anna nearly forgot that Kitty was waiting for them.
She was so busy writing the long paper that she completely forgot about Kitty. Thinking about it, the cat has already waited for hours.
