Chapter 38. Living Arrangement
Chapter 38: 38. Living Arrangement
Dylan and Anna went upstairs and found Mark and Lucy were already in the gym. At the very least, it could be seen that both of them had just finished a light exercise from their sweat.
"You’re thinking about arranging for guards?" Lucy furrowed her eyebrows.
Mark nodded thoughtfully. "It’s actually a good idea, but it wouldn’t be easy to implement because there are two floors that need to be guarded. How could we be sure that we can react in time if they were to go to the other floor?"
Anna looked at Dylan.
Honestly, she was also thinking about this. If the people who came here tried to target the other floor, can they even react in time?
She was not sure.
"I’m actually thinking to have you moved downstairs or we move upstairs." Dylan looked at the two people in front of him. "This way, it’ll be easier for us to watch each other in case there’s any problem."
"Then, how about the abandoned floor?"
"Set up the antitheft door to be connected to the generator. This way, whoever want to enter will be electrocuted," Anna suddenly said.
The others looked at her and gave thumbs up.
Very ruthless.
One should know that if a human’s body were to enter current of more than 5, they will definitely die. Of course, that would depend on the voltage too but generally, if the power (watt) of the voltage and current reached a certain standard, human will definitely die.
"How can we enter again then?" Lucy didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
"Set up the program in your phone to turn off the generator. I can make it," Anna said from the side.
"Right, you’re very interested in programming." Lucy had a look of realization.
When she was young, Anna was very interested in computer and tossed her mother to buy her one. After she had one, she often played around and one way or another, she learned how to make programs and also learned to hack something.
The most often was hacking her own home’s internet because her mother forbid her from playing with the internet during exam times. But Anna was naughty and hacked her home’s internet so that she could still play.
After she was caught, her mother reprimanded her for an hour.
Lucy still remembered that day because she was reprimanded along with Anna. After all, it was her suggestion to hack her own home’s internet...
*cough*
The kind of program to make an app to become a remote control was very easy. There were some built in that was available to be used directly or one could make from scratch.
In any case, Anna could do it.
"I just need to add some restriction so that only you can use it. Also, the app will not be internet connected but Bluetooth just in case someone tried to hack it," Anna added again after thinking for a bit.
Lucy watched Anna speechlessly. "You can be the one to think about it all because I definitely understood nothing."
If one had to say, Lucy was the type of person who would only use her fist unless it was absolutely necessary for her to use her first. This was also the main reason why her parents agreed for her to enter military academy.
She wouldn’t be able to pass if it was the normal high school anyway.
"How high is your skill?" Mark suddenly asked.
"It’s definitely not very high because I self-learned." Anna scratched the back of her head.
She liked computer, but her father wanted her to enter management, so they got into arguments in the past. Her mother didn’t really care about it because she felt that even if Anna couldn’t succeed the company, she could just hire assistants and manager to help her.
But Mr. Williams disagreed.
Their arguments never end and since Anna is now out of Williams Family, she knew that she could pick this when she entered university later.
But...
If the flood is not over yet, it was unknown when she could resume school.
"It’s good enough." Mark thought about it and nodded.
"So, shall we go up or you go down?"
"We’ll go down." Mark quickly decided. "My place is empty except for the gym that I usually use while Lucy’s place is a mess and there are a stack of useless items."
"They’re not useless!"
"So, we can use Lucy’s place as storage room."
Lucy: "..." B*stard, you didn’t even ask for my opinion!
Right now, they did gather in Lucy’s place and Anna had to admit that Mark is right. Looking left and right, it didn’t seem like there was even any place for them to relax. Not to mention, she didn’t know what those stack of items was.
"Wait, does it mean I’ll live with Dylan?"
