Chapter 335: 335. Combination of their Abilities
"Yes!"
The two of them came out and Kitty followed behind them, a bit curious about what the two of them were planning to do. Seeing that ice and wood spears, Kitty was honestly a bit confused about what they were planning to do.
"Pierce through that wood."
"Ok!"
Dylan controlled the spear and Anna let go of her control. In the next moment, the wooden ice spear rushed in great speed towards the wood and pierced through it.
Buzz!
The spear was not very sturdy and it shook a bit, causing Dylan to use more of his ability to keep the ice in place.
But this proved that they could do it.
"Meow?" Kitty was looking at the intact spear and then looked at Dylan. She could tell that when Dylan attacked, he didn’t use as much ability as he does in the past. It was as if he was only controlling the movements and no longer the shape.
Anna’s eyes also lit up.
Dylan’s eyes were shining instead. If he were to have such weapon around him, it would have been easier for him to attack and deal with those mutated animals. He felt ecstatic because he knew that this weapon in front of him was indeed very good.
"This could be our temporary weapon," Dylan said with a grin.
With this weapon, the length of the time he used his ability to attack could increase slightly. Even if the increase was not that much, but every seconds are very precious when these abilities are not very common yet.
Or more like, most people couldn’t even last more than a few minutes. If they wanted to attack, they would need to use more of their ability, consuming their abilities to make them run out of their abilities in just a very short period of time.
So anything that could lengthen their period of using their weapons would be the best.
"Your temporary weapon," Anna said. "It’s not very useful for me since my control over wood is not as good as my control over plants that come from the seeds or my vines."
Dylan looked at Anna regretfully.
And here he was thinking that if Anna could also use this spear, then it would have been much better.
"It seems that I need to make the shards smaller and mixed together more, huh?" Anna asked as she controlled the spear to come closer. The shards were still a bit big, which was why it was not very sturdy when Dylan attacked. As long as she was able to make the shards smaller, it would be able to mix together more.
"Don’t push yourself too hard. This is already good enough." Dylan chuckled. "All I need is to have you by my side to make the weapon."
"This is only temporary weapon," Anna said. "Perhaps in the future, there will be some smart scientist who come forward with a great idea to make powerful weapon."
Making this ice spear all the time would be very tiring. Not to mention, it required the control of two people in order to make it.
Unless Dylan was of ice and wood element and could make it himself, he would need Anna to stay beside him.
The biggest advantage of this spear was that he didn’t need to use so much of his ability to control the shape. It was really sturdy.
"Let’s see the rest of the video," Anna said and dragged Dylan back to the small hut. If just a small suggestion from the man had allowed them to grow this much, then there might be other suggestion that could be useful for them.
Dylan nodded and walked inside again.
"Meow?" Is there any training method for mutated animals?
Dylan saw Kitty was looking at him and stretched his paw. He couldn’t understand what Kitty was saying, but he could see that Kitty was in distress and confusion. It seemed that he wanted to convey something, yet at the same time, he couldn’t do it.
Crouching beside the cat, Dylan patted Kitty’s head. "What is it, Kitty?"
"Meow." I also want to become stronger and be able to practice more.
Kitty looked at Dylan with hopeful gaze. He really wanted to become strong, strong enough so that these two didn’t have to worry about him.
While he was lazy most of the time, he also knew that his strength was actually growing slowly but surely. It was also because of this that he felt rather complacent at times.
But seeing Anna and Dylan were working together to make a technique to increase their combat power easily without the need to increase the amount of their ability, Kitty realized that there had to be something for him to do.
Dylan saw Kitty’s gaze and felt that he knew what Kitty wanted. "Do you want to grow stronger too, Kitty?"
"Meow!" Kitty nodded his head rapidly.
Dylan sighed. "There’s no training manual for mutated animals, so I might not be able to help you much. However, if you really want to train, then I have some suggestions that you might want to try."
"Meow." I’m listening.
Kitty looked at Dylan seriously.
If Dylan’s suggestion could help him to grow stronger, then Kitty would listen to his words. No matter how annoying Dylan was most of the time, Kitty knew that Dylan really cared for him.
So the two of them might quarrel a lot, which was in their own language and one side didn’t even understand what the other was saying, but the two of them have a rather good relationship.
"You need to strengthen your weapon." Dylan stretched his hand and pulled Kitty’s front paw. He caressed Kitty’s paw and then said, "Your attacks are mostly focused on your claw, so what you need to do is to sharpen your claw and make sure that your claw is stronger. For this, you can learn to scratch various types of wood. But aside from that, I have no idea what could be used to strengthen your claw."
