I'm the Villainess in the Apocalypse -
Chapter 274. Warning
Chapter 274: 274. Warning
"You let go!"
"The Davis Family should take care of their family more," Dylan said lightly and then turned around. "Let’s go, Sister Anna."
"Um."
Anna looked at the guards that were around Tasha and then pushed the cart with Dylan beside her. "Is it fine to provoke her like this?"
"The Davis Family might make things a bit difficult, but it was nothing that we can’t handle. They wouldn’t dare to do things openly to Daniels Family," Dylan replied.
Anna sighed when she heard it. "It seems that the truth of having power is convenient is really true."
Dylan chuckled. "As long as you’re strong enough, no one will easily mess with you. Do you want to go back now?"
"Yeah, let’s go back."
Anna nodded, no longer paying attention to this little episode. The two of them returned to their apartment and put their things back. Their delivery from the supermarket also had arrived and after they checked the number, they signed it and let the delivery man go. The supplies was divided into two and Anna noticed that Dylan gave most of it to her.
Looking at his action, Anna pursed her lips. She had the faint feeling that Dylan actually knew about her space but he never mentioned it until she was willing to tell him. He was keeping it a secret and let her tell him when she felt comfortable.
For a moment, Anna felt warm in her heart.
She decided to tell him later.
They were married and would live together. It would be impossible for her to keep this secret for her entire life, so it would be better to tell him. This way, the space could be used better.
After it was done, Dylan asked Anna to go out for a walk.
"Why do you want to walk again?" Anna asked curiously.
Dylan glanced at the cat that was pulling his trouser under him. It was not him who wanted to go out, but this little naughty cat.
"Meow!" Kitty glared at Dylan.
This annoying man locked him in the apartment today, not letting him get out in the slightest bit. As an active cat, he wanted to go out even more.
Most importantly...
He kept on occupying Anna’s attention!
Kitty also wanted to play with Anna.
Anna laughed at Kitty’s action. "Okay, we’ll walk for a few hours and then we’re going back, okay? I still have to clean up my room."
"Meow?" Clean you your room?
Kitty looked at Anna in confusion. Based on what he knew, these humans were not very keen on cleaning themselves lately because of the current situation. At the very least, the few items around them were only the things they needed the most.
Other things were put away because they wouldn’t be used anytime soon.
"I’m going to move to Dylan’s apartment tonight..." Anna said and then paused. She looked at Dylan. "It’s one bedroom apartment, right?"
"Yes?" Dylan asked back.
"So we’re sleeping in one room?"
"Why not?" Dylan stepped forward and hugged Anna. "You’re my wife now, right? Why can’t we sleep together?"
"You!"
"MEOW!"
Kitty pounced forward and Dylan quickly evaded the cat. He looked at the cat in astonishment. At that moment, he could see that this cat was much faster than how he used to be in the past.
After all, this was not the first time Kitty attacked Dylan.
Now, he could clearly see that this cat was much faster than he used to be. It seemed that after sleeping for so long and started to be energetic, the speed and force of this cat was increasing rapidly.
"You’re getting faster and stronger, Kitty." Dylan crouched in front of Kitty and held the cat’s paw. He looked at the claw that the cat retracted and then said, "Show me your claw."
"Meow?" Kitty looked at Dylan in confusion. When he was with Dylan and the others, he would never show his claw because he didn’t want to hurt them for real. After all, his claw was quite sharp and might not be so easy to control.
He didn’t want to harm them for real.
But hearing Dylan’s solemn tone, he still obediently stretches his claw out.
The claw looked no different from his previous claw, but Dylan felt that the cat’s claw was somewhat different. He then recalled that he wanted to test Kitty’s fighting capability after they went to that mountain.
But because his attention was taken away by other things, he seemed to have forgotten about it.
"Let’s go."
"Where are we going?" Anna asked.
"To the animal area," Dylan replied. "It’s located far at the north, further up the mountain. There’s a certain restricted area where all the animals in City A are kept. The areas are also separated between poultry and others, but I’m not clear about the distinction inside."
Anna knew that there were a lot of animals kept in this base.
If there were no animals, where did those meats in the supermarket came from?
"Why are we going there?" They had already climbed down the stairs with Kitty following behind them by now.
"There’s a testing center to test the animals’ strength and so on," Dylan replied. "I heard that the researchers are going to make their estimation of how much these animals increased in strength."
Anna was stunned. "Would it be dangerous for us?"
"I don’t know."
After that, Anna fell into silence. The two of them walked side by side quietly and followed the road further to the north. The road was climbing up and soon, they reached the designated district.
Dylan looked at the road sign and said, "It’s around 1 km away from here. The testing center is outside the animal keeping area."
Anna nodded. "This is household areas, too?"
"No." Dylan pointed at the large buildings on each sides. "There are dormitories and also factories. Some of them are still under construction, but they should be done soon."
Anna looked at the buildings and nodded thoughtfully. The base was truly trying to recover as fast as possible. Just as she was about to ask another question, there was an alarm blaring.
