Chapter 251: 251. Reunion

"Well, they’re all his partners whom he could trust and will definitely help him," Dylan replied. He trusted his uncle would be fine in the base even if there would be chaos later. He had estimated that it wouldn’t be so peaceful.

With so few members in their family, it was estimated that they might not be able to hold as much power as they used to be.

But it was fine.

Dylan thought about his lot and chose to practice more in the future. With his ice ability, he would be able to work even in winter to build that place.

It would still take some time, though.

For now, he should just practice more.

They made their way to the crowded military hospital and texted Mark and Lucy. The two of them replied that they were in the receptionist. Since Mark is fine, he quickly vacated his bed for others to use.

There were many other people who fall sick and needed the bed. After all, if they have medicine and the care of the experts, the chance for them to die in the process was lower.

At least, that was what the statistic gave over the past two to three days.

The number of people who died in the hospital was only 10% of the number of people who died outside during this fever.

At the same time, the number of new people who have fever had also decreased. It was no longer spiking but there were still a few new patients every day, so the beds in the hospital was still very important.

"Let’s enter the hospital."

"Ok."

Lucy was paying for their stay while Mark was standing by the side.

"Mark, Lucy, how are you two?" Anna called out.

"Much better." Mark nodded. He looked at Dylan, who was following Anna. "How about you? I heard that you also have fever."

"I’m alright now." Dylan shrugged. "There are many more people who have fever during this period of time. Do you want to go back now?"

"Yeah." Mark nodded. "There’s no point for me to stay here either way. The bed can be used by those who need it more."

The others nodded in understanding.

"By the way, did you also...?" Dylan asked curiously.

"No." Mark shook his head and scratched the back of his head. "Well, how should I explain it. I’m not the same as the others who had strange abilities. I just have some increase in strength and I can’t really... control it."

"Huh?"

"He broke the bed’s railing when he got up." Lucy sighed as she finished paying. She glanced at Mark and shook her head. "Before you control your strength, don’t get close to me."

"Lucy...." Mark looked like an abandoned child now.

"Strength increase?" Dylan asked again.

"Yeah." Mark nodded. "By the way, they will keep record on whoever had these things. Unless you don’t go to the hospital and managed to survive and wanted to hide it, they will definitely keep all the records."

Keeping the records.

Dylan narrowed his eyes slightly. The people who knew that he was sick was Lucy, Mark, Dr. Mike, and his family members in his uncle’s house. In other words, he was different from Mark who was registered.

Even if it might not be for long because he might want to use his abilities in the future. But for the time being, no one should watch him.

It’s pretty good for Dylan.

"Let’s go out now."

"Ok."

They walked out of the hospital and picked the relatively empty road. There were many people who go to the hospital for various reasons. And the researchers were also camping there.

It seemed that they were determined to find out the reason for this strange phenomenon and so on.

In a way, it was good.

"Did they do some tests to you?" Dylan asked.

"Just blood test and there’s no other thing. There are many other people who are on the hospital and had the same condition," Mark replied. "Don’t worry, no one is asked sample for nothing. Those who are willing to give more samples will be given contribution points."

Dylan’s lips twitched.

Considering that they didn’t become superpowers who had strength that was far above the sky, cooperating with the researchers would be the best method for them to earn more contribution points.

After all, they hadn’t practiced and didn’t know how strong they were.

The more samples there were, the more researchers would be able to figure out the main reason for this changes.

"I see." Dylan nodded.

Mark looked at Dylan and smirked. "You’re actually the same, right?"

Dylan passed a look at Mark and nodded faintly.

Lucy looked at these two boys with a jealous look. "Why are they the one who have these abilities and not me? I also want it."

"Maybe later? After all, there are still people who have fever in the past few days?" Anna consoled Lucy.

"Tsk, are you not jealous of them?"

Jealous?

Anna smiled.

She did feel a bit jealous with these people. But she herself already had a space on her own and didn’t want to be so greedy.

If there was a chance for her to have abilities too, then she would be happy.

But if there was none, then she wouldn’t force it.

After all, she also doesn’t know the requirement to have the fever and started to obtain these abilities.

"Anyway, I’m going back now and sleep." Lucy yawned. "It’s quite tiring lately."

"Are you also helping your family?"

"Not exactly, but the situation is not very peaceful the past few days. It’s only temporarily stabilized for the time being." Lucy pursed her lips. "There would be other upheaval in the future that might not be very good."

Upheaval?

Anna thought for a moment and nodded with a sigh.

It seemed to be true.

The four of them talked a bit more about their situation and after that, they went their separate ways. Dylan and Anna wanted to go back to their apartment while Lucy and Mark would go back to their dormitory.
