Chapter 239. The Others

Chapter 239: 239. The Others

"Meow!" I’m still here!

Kitty looked at Dylan and really wanted to poke this annoying man. His eyes were full of Anna and completely forgot about him.

Dylan ignored Kitty’s voice and went back to sleep.

"Meow!" on the grounds that you’re still sick, I’ll let you off this time.

Kitty looked at Dylan and retracted her paw again. He snorted lightly and went back to lie down beside Dylan to accompany this man.

"Kitty, eat something first."

"Meow."

This time, Kitty immediately stood up and walked to Anna. Anna had prepared a bowl of cat food for him, which he immediately gnawed and eaten happily.

"Dylan won’t wake up anytime soon, so you should rest too."

"Meow." I know.

Kitty didn’t have many other activities to do either. He was usually playing by himself or pull Dylan to do this and that to the point that the man was annoyed by him. Right now, he just wanted to sleep and rest by Dylan’s side.

Anna nodded at Kitty and go to the living room.

She took out the bucket and water to start doing her usual activity of taking out the particles. She had nothing else to do either and could only do this to pass the time.

Time passed quietly.

Anna keenly noticed that she seemed to improve more compared to before. The improvement this time was a bit big, which was a surprise for her. As her so called mental strength depleted, Anna felt that she was already touching that barrier.

The barrier felt illusory inside her mind, but it was there.

She tried to poke it, but it was very sturdy. Perhaps, she needed more time before she could break that thing.

After a while, Anna returned to Dylan’s room and passed the time by checking on news. From there, she found out that Lucy was also busy in the hospital to accompany Mark and inquired about other things.

They called each other.

"Mark has become better Lucy?"

"Yes, he’s much better now. At the very least, the temperature is no longer so high that it’s scary." Lucy sighed. "However, the hospital is lacking in medicine and only soldiers are allowed to use medicine now."

With the increase of the patients now, there were many people who wished to enter the hospital but not possible. The amount of medicine was also very lacking and the price has been rising and rising again.

It was impossible for those who only had little contribution points to buy medicine. Many of them had to borrow contribution points from others in order to be able to buy medicine and so on.

"You’re lucky, then," Anna said.

"We have medicine at home, but I’m not sure about his situation, so he had a drip in the hospital," Lucy replied. "How about you, did you also get sick?"

"It’s not me, it’s Dylan."

"What? Did these two make an agreement to fall sick together? How can the two of them got sick at the same time?" Lucy really wanted to smack Mark and asked him this question.

"There are a lot of people who fall sick at this time. Do you know the reason?"

"I wish I know." Lucy sighed.

Anna looked at Dylan not far from her and also sighed. If they knew the reason for the sickness, it would be more reassuring.

"Did Mark have other test?"

"Blood test and so on, but nothing is found abnormal yet."

"Even after so many hours?"

"There are a lot of patients who have the same symptoms as him and their position in the military is higher, so you know that his case is delayed a bit." Lucy was a bit helpless about this.

When she came here, she realized that there were a lot of people who also fell sick and rushed to the hospital. Because of the current situation outside, even a little sickness could make them worry.

After all, medicine was rare. So when they fall sick, they didn’t hesitate to send him or her to the hospital.

The end result was that the hospital was crowded.

Many of them knew each other and talked outside, but Lucy was not very familiar with many of them. What made her felt headache was that her family members and Mark’s other family members were also hospitalized.

"How about your parents?" Anna suddenly thought about something.

"Dad is hospitalized along with First Uncle and Third Aunt," Lucy replied. "I think some of my cousins are also in the hospital, but I hadn’t heard about them yet."

So many people in the hospital, only their close family members could take care of them for the time being. Even if they contacted their relatives, they would know that their relatives also have someone who was sick.

Thus, it was impossible to ask for help.

"This is really bad," Anna said in a low voice.

"Well..." Lucy thought for a moment and then said, "Dylan’s uncle is also hospitalized and Dr. Mike is handling the case. It seems that Old Master Daniels told him not to tell Dylan after finding out that Dylan is also sick."

Anna nearly cursed when she heard this.

Daniels Family only consist of three people and the rest were all distant relatives. Old Master Daniels was able to live well in the base because his son was at high position.

But if something happened to Uncle Darien, it was estimated that he might even be kicked out.

They would not care about the so called past affection or so on.

When one was down, many people would rather trample them down rather than extending a hand to help.

That was just how humanity is.

"Then how about the base?" Anna asked worriedly.

"You don’t have to worry so much about this," Lucy said and then lowered her voice, "Because three leaders are sick at the same time, Mark’s father, Uncle Darien, and Mr. Mason. Only my uncle and Mr. Davis are not sick and still overseeing the base."
