I'm the Villainess in the Apocalypse -
Chapter 165. Lucas
Chapter 165: 165. Lucas
When she had reached her home, she went to the kitchen and cut the meat. After that, Anna cooked half of the meat in accordance to the dishes she had learned in Dylan’s place before.
Well, it was a bit burnt, but it was still finished in the end.
The rest of the meat was put in the refrigerator.
After thinking for a bit, Anna took some of the frozen meat in her space into the refrigerator. Anyway, there was her record of purchase in the supermarket, so no one would question why she has meat in her refrigerator.
It was just that the smell of the meat will definitely come to the people nearby.
’If only there’s a way to erase the smell.’
Anna shook her head.
She felt a bit like a thief, trying to cover up her traces from eating meat. But then again, in the situation where many things were scarce, it was not very easy to live well without attracting other people’s attention.
Looking at the time, it was just in time to come down.
Anna packed the dishes and went out only to see Dylan standing not far from his door while carrying one of the pickled vegetables jar.
They still have some of them but since the one who made it was Dylan while the materials belonged to Anna, these jars were handed to these two. They divided it equally and there were not much left after that week where they had to feed eight people.
"Dylan?"
"Sister Anna," Dylan replied with a smile. "I was waiting for you before coming down."
"Well, I tried to cook." Anna showed the dishes in her hand helplessly. "But it seems that my talent is still not very good."
Dylan looked at the partially burnt dish and smiled helplessly. "It’s fine, you will get better in the future."
"Um."
"Did you buy some foods from the supermarket?" Dylan asked. They didn’t have any meat that was not made into jerky. Even then, most of the jerkies have been eaten up during this period of time.
After all, they didn’t really want to wrong themselves in the apartment, so they still eat quite well.
Of course, not to the point where they were very full.
But at least, they were 8 to 9 points full.
Compared to many other people who couldn’t eat until they were full, they could be said to be living very well.
"Yeah, I bought some meat. It’s very expensive," Anna complained. "But then again, I don’t think it’ll be easy to get fresh meat in the future."
"Yes," Dylan answered in agreement. "Next time, shall we go together?"
"Do you also want to buy some ingredients?" Anna asked as they slowly made their way downstairs.
"It’s still cheaper to cook by myself. Besides, I don’t really want to line up for hours just to get a bowl of porridge," Dylan replied helplessly.
"Eh, you know about the canteen?"
"It’s in the guide sent to our mail."
Anna: "..."
Sorry, she didn’t check her mail.
Dylan laughed when he saw Anna’s expression. He could guess that she didn’t read the mail and shook his head. "You can read it later."
"Yes."
They reached the fifth floor and looked at the two rooms. Lucy booked the room number 501, so they turned to one of them and knocked.
Knock! Knock!
"Come in!" Lucy’s voice came from inside.
"Sorry for intruding," Dylan said as he pushed the door open.
The place was still very bare with many boxes and bags piled at the edge of the living room. There was not even a single furniture in this living room, making one felt helpless.
But thinking about their own rooms, it seemed that there was indeed not a single furniture in this place.
It looked rather miserable.
Lucy put a carpet on the ground, just enough to make them not sit on the floor directly but it was not very comfortable. Mark was placing the plates on the carpet while there was a man who sat not far from him.
Looking at this tall man, they all immediately recognized him as Lucy’s cousin, Lucas.
"It’s been a while, Lucas." Dylan grinned.
"Indeed." Lucas looked at Dylan up and down. "Are you interested to join the military too?"
Dylan: "..."
How could he forget that this annoying man’s hobby was to ask other people to join the military? He already felt suffocated to run away from Lucas in the past because he was being persuaded to enter military again and again.
Dylan definitely refuse.
He didn’t want to make himself suffer in the military.
Anna laughed. "It’s been a while, Lucas."
"It’s been a while, Anna. You’re getting prettier every time I see you." Lucas smiled brightly when he looked at Anna.
Anna waved his hand. "Stop flattering me. Don’t think I don’t know you always say it to every woman you see."
"Tsk, you found out." Lucas clicked his tongue and patted the carpet to invite these two to sit down. "Shall we get to the point? Do you bring the medicine?"
"Yes."
Anna put down her bag and then took out the bottle containing the medicine to Lucas. She knew that even though Lucas was in the military, he was not actually a fighter. Rather, he was a military researcher but his position was not very high.
Lucas opened the box and then looked at the list of the ingredients and description for some time before he took out a knife and made a small wound on his arm. After that, he poured the medicine on top of it.
"Wow, so direct and rude." Lucy was stunned when she saw her cousin’s action.
This cousin of her was truly dare.
But if he was not such a person, it was estimated that he wouldn’t come to the military and become one of their researchers.
The liquid was a bit gooey and stuck to Lucas’s arm. The open wound that was previously bleeding stopped as if there was something that prevented them from coming out. The liquid acted like a plaster, completely sealing and acting as if they were part of the skin itself.
