Chapter 137. Cars
Chapter 137: 137. Cars
"It’s a bit troublesome." Dylan sighed.
Butler Henry looked at Dylan and shook his head. "The base has some cars and we can ask for a car from them. But it’s not the best solution because it meant that we can’t go out on our own without asking or borrowing a car."
Dylan pursed his lips.
It was not a long term solution.
He thought about going to these malls again and picked a car but then thought about the fact that most of these stores were located in relatively low areas. These cars would have been drowned completely and it was estimated that they couldn’t be used.
The impound place?
These parts would have been destroyed completely due to the flood.
Dylan’s mind was turning around before he remembered one place. One of the biggest car company in their nation had a branch here and they were using a very sophisticated method to store their car.
Their cars were all in high buildings and there would be a machine to bring them from above to down.
The machine would have been drowned and no longer working by now because it was flooded.
But how about these cars?
They would still be there.
Dylan’s eyes lit up. "I know where we can find cars."
"Where?"
"That car company where..."
"Young Master, first of all, we can’t break their security system." Butler Henry looked at Dylan speechlessly. "Also, do you forget that some building have parking lots that are above and not below? This apartment’s parking lot is divided into two, the underground and also the one higher at the side of the buildings until 10th floor. At which floor did you park your car before, Young Master?"
"The 10th floor," Dylan answered without hesitation.
Because it was the closest to the top, so Dylan always parked there and then used the elevator to go to his apartment. But the parking space was not much. It could only fit a few cars and usually the one who used these parking lots were the richest.
The others would pick the underground parking lot.
And for the 10th floor, they required a special access.
Not everyone can park there.
Butler Henry nodded in satisfaction when he heard Dylan’s answer. "Don’t forget your own car and the company’s car."
The company’s car.
Dylan knew that Butler Henry was referring to the company’s truck that was also parked in the 10th floor. It was used to move decoration and furniture back then through this floor.
With the car and the truck, it was estimated that their next journey would be smoother.
"That’s great." Dylan grinned. "Wait, what floor did Anna parked her car?"
Anna also has a car and could drive. Well, she was slightly older than him and obtained her license earlier.
"...Young Master, you should ask Miss Anna yourself." Butler Henry looked at Dylan helplessly.
"Right. I’ll go back now."
"Young Master, remember to clean up your belongings so that we can brought everything easier later."
"I know, I know."
Seeing the young master who ran away very quickly, Butler Henry could only shake his head. Sometimes, he felt that this young master was truly a young master, his action was more like a child rather than an adult.
Dylan went back to Anna’s apartment and decided to clean up the kitchen again and to sort the supplies there.
...
Anna, who was sleeping, didn’t know what happened outside.
When she woke up, she felt much better and rubbed her forehead a bit. It seemed that the process of controlling her items in her space consumed a lot of her mental strength. Now that she had felt better, Anna looked at her space.
No matter how much she wanted to practice this, she knew that she couldn’t overdo it.
So she just took out two big plastic bags that contained the drinking water and then dragged them outside her room.
"Sister Anna?" Dylan was stunned when he saw the large plastic bags that Anna carried.
"I still put some of them in my bedroom," Anna explained. "The water has almost run out, right?"
Because of the hot temperature outside, the water they carried were wiped clean for drinking again and again. There were still some water bags in their apartment, but there were indeed some worries that the water wouldn’t be enough.
The tap water has been stopped and might not continue at all.
After all, it was said that there were some problems with the connection, which was why it would not be continued anytime soon.
Only in some areas would the channel be fixed.
"Yes." Dylan nodded with a smile. "Sister Anna is very thoughtful."
"I’m only thinking about it now." Anna shrugged and then smiled. "What time is it?"
"It’s almost time for dinner. I’m planning to eat together with my grandfather and the others. Mark and Lucy agreed to come down during dinner time."
"Good, then," Anna replied.
"Right, what floor did you park your car? Mark said that his car was on the eight floor while Lucy’s car was in the underground parking lot." Dylan rubbed his forehead.
He asked this question to these two not long ago and Lucy said that her car can be tossed away. It was definitely drowned and couldn’t be used anymore.
Most people liked to use the underground car park because of some reasons. Lucy liked it because it was usually quite spacious.
Now, her car was the first to be drowned.
How miserable.
As for Mark, he parked his car on the eight floor because he was used to park at higher floor. It was closer to his apartment and then, he would use stairs instead of the lift in order to go up.
Dylan only felt that Mark was thinking in the perspective of his practice.
"My car...?" Anna was surprised for a moment and then replied, "It’s on the ninth floor."
Because she heard the news of the flood, Anna put her car as high as possible. She didn’t have the special pass for the tenth floor, so she stopped on the ninth floor.
