Chapter 112. Unscrupulous People
Chapter 112: 112. Unscrupulous People
The door open.
Butler Henry smiled brightly when he saw Dylan in front of him. He had already seen Dylan through the eyehole from inside.
Plus, they had already seen the boat coming.
They were already prepared.
"Uncle Henry, we can go now," Dylan said in a slow tone.
"Yes. Everyone is ready." Butler Henry had a big backpack on his back. To be exact, all of them were carrying backpack on their back, including Old Master Daniels. He handed over one of the backpack to Dylan, which he quickly wore behind him.
There were many items that Old Master Daniels brought with him.
When Dylan felt the weight of the bag, his expression changed slightly before turning to normal. He looked at his grandfather sideways for a moment before coughing. "Grandfather."
Old Master Daniels looked at his grandson and nodded. "It seems you’re not completely useless, you brat."
Dylan: "..." Did you think so low of me, Grandpa?
He looked at his grandfather resentfully and then looked away to avoid being spanked again. His legs felt hurt when he thought about his grandfather’s punishment for him.
Uh wait, there shouldn’t be any punishment for him during this period of time, right?
"Old Master Daniels, he’s your grandson?" one of the two group of people who came out asked.
Old Master Daniels looked up at the person who spoke. His eyes narrowed. "Is there anything, Peter?"
The man named Peter smiled faintly. "Since he’s your grandson and we’re old friend, can you give me face and take us away too?"
Old Master Daniels shook his head. "The boat he came with is too small to bring you all with us."
"If it’s that small, how can you bring so many people behind you?" Peter was unwilling to give up so easily.
"They’re my employees and I’m the one who brought them here, so naturally, I’ll bring them too," Old Master Daniels replied calmly.
Dylan looked at the people in front of him and then at the few people behind. It seemed that his grandfather was being targeted by others during this time because he was living quite well.
After all, with their family’s connection to the higher ups, Old Master Daniels knew that the situation wouldn’t be very good and prepared quite a lot of food. He also picked this hotel because it would not be flooded as long as the floor was high enough.
There would definitely be some worries when the water was rising during the rain period.
But after the rain had stopped, these people should know that the water would not rise again.
"Grandfather, do you have anyone you want to bring?" Dylan asked, his fingers had already put on the trigger of his gun while he raised it forward. His eyes narrowed dangerously, ready to shoot the people who wanted to come forward.
These people also moved back consciously.
One of them closed the door to avoid getting involved in the battle should there be one.
But the others were still indignant, including Peter who saw Old Master Daniels was preparing to leave.
"No one," Old Master Daniels replied calmly.
"Did you come with the military?" Peter suddenly asked.
Dylan narrowed his eyes. "No, I only brought my friends outside."
Peter took a deep breath. He waved his hand to his men to block the road and quickly took out his gun from his back. "You’re not the only one who has gun here. Give the boat to us!"
Old Master Daniels didn’t seem to be surprised when he saw what Peter was trying to do. He quickly took out his own gun.
"Just kill them."
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Sound of gunshots rang out.
Old Master Daniels and the others around him were very fast in using his gun. After facing several people who wanted to take advantage of him, he had long gotten used to it.
Dylan was standing in front of his grandfather to protect him and also used his gun quickly.
After facing so many people in the past, Dylan didn’t have much feeling to kill these people.
"Grandfather, it’s dangerous," Dylan reminded.
"We’re all wearing vest underneath our clothes." Old Master Daniels snorted. "Do you think I dare to come out without any protection?"
Dylan: "..."
Sorry, I’m still too tender.
Thud!
These people fell down. Bodies and blood spilled all over the place.
Dylan snorted and took out several magazines from his pocket. He had put them in his clothes to bring them to his grandfather.
"New magazines, Grandpa."
"Good boy." Old Master Daniels laughed and with a click, the magazine was taken out and quickly put the new one.
Dylan handed two more to Doctor Mike and Butler Henry.
They had almost run out of bullets, so Dylan’s spare magazine would come in handy.
"Let’s go down."
"Yes."
Some people who wanted to come forward after they saw the battle was over, noticed the new magazines that these people used and slowly backed away. They were not willing to sacrifice their bodies.
So aside from Peters and the people in his hotel room, no one else stopped Dylan from going to the seventh floor with his family members.
"Did anyone make trouble to you during this time, Grandpa?" Dylan asked when they reached the stairs.
"No." Old Master Daniels shook his head.
"Young Master, there are several people who hoped Old Master can give them the right to manage the hotel," Butler Henry exposed Old Master Daniels’ lies.
Old Master Daniels glared at his butler. He coughed. "Well, I have already handled them. The new hotel manager is the one in charge of this hotel during this time and did quite a good job."
New hotel manager.
With that one word before the title, Dylan could guess that the previous manager might want to take control of the hotel but Old Master Daniels stopped him and dealt with him.
He didn’t ask the details as they continued to descend the stairs.
