I’m Really Scared -
Chapter 31: Unusual
In Guan Shan's eyes, the zombie covered in fur and resembling a composite beast was just opening its mouth to roar, making unintelligible noises.
Even after having its arms chopped off, it still struggled fiercely, glaring at him with vicious eyes.
This guy definitely had not lost its will to kill and still wanted to launch a counterattack!
Guan Shan felt he completely saw through this monster's thoughts.
"Although, as a monster, it is indeed very persistent and dedicated."
Guan Shan admired the attitude of this elite monster: "But as a player, the greatest respect I can give you is to kill you with my strongest weapon and finish you off."
Currently, Guan Shan's strongest weapon was neither the boning knife nor the chainsaw, but the crowbar.
If not for the crowbar, Guan Shan would definitely have had to fight that giant zombie for three hundred rounds, but with the crowbar in hand, he could kill it instantly.
Of course... if the opponent didn’t have any weak points, this weapon would be useless.
Worker Bee Seventeen looked at Guan Shan picking up the crowbar and fell into complete despair. The surroundings were filled with dismembered limbs, blood, and various entrails, covering the narrow alley, emitting heat and a foul stench.
To Worker Bee Seventeen, the scene was as horrifying as hell.
Because those were all the bodies of people he knew...
He watched them being "opened" alive by that crowbar!
This was absolutely the most terrifying and painful death he had ever seen. Just seeing the expressions on their faces before they died was enough to feel that extreme pain.
Even though the Death Hive was a thoroughly evil organization and it was normal for its members to die suddenly on missions, Worker Bee Seventeen had never thought he would die in such a manner.
He rasped as he crawled on the ground: "Please, please, don't come over, I'll tell you everything, just don't kill me..."
Lin Shuman snapped out of her daze, covering her mouth with a pale face to suppress the urge to vomit.
She repeatedly hypnotized herself, telling herself these were heinous Death Hive members who deserved it... only then could she barely suppress the urge to run away.
"Wait, this person seems to be voluntarily confessing, offering intelligence support!"
Lin Shuman was stunned and overjoyed.
No need for interrogation, what luck.
Seeing that the only survivor was about to reveal other Death Hive experimental points due to Guan Shan's intimidation.
But Guan Shan had already picked up the crowbar, ready to strike again.
Lin Shuman felt her foresight was spot on. She had guessed from the beginning that what hindered the Special Security Group from obtaining intelligence wouldn't be the "Death Hive" members being tight-lipped.
These people hadn't undergone special training; they were just a gathering of Espers. Aside from their abilities, they were just ordinary people in terms of thoughts and ideas.
Facing someone like Guan Shan, it was normal to crack.
"So what should I do now?" Lin Shuman was frantic. "This is one of the few chances to get a lot of intelligence on the 'Death Hive' plans. If missed, it will certainly lose many opportunities to save the victims!"
But she couldn't deactivate her ability, couldn't expose herself...
Xia Lei's voice suddenly came through the earpiece, sounding very serious: "Attention, the first team is being held up by someone, a C-level with strong power, less than a hundred meters from your location, moving fast, might rush into the alley soon."
"Warn Guan Shan, or an unprepared confrontation might end badly."
Lin Shuman immediately responded, then took a deep breath, picked up a stone, and smashed it against a nearby pipe.
"Bang" went the sound, indeed attracting Guan Shan's attention.
This was the simplest method Lin Shuman could think of...
Though doing this made her cover her face in embarrassment.
Guan Shan was startled by the noise, quickly turning around but finding no new monster, only an empty wire fence, ruined buildings, and the corpses he had created.
"Caw... caw..." A crow called twice and flew away.
"Hey, no way..."
He twitched his mouth, looking at the stone on the ground, feeling uneasy: "This is definitely a zombie siege, but why does it feel like there's a supernatural atmosphere?"
However, being interrupted like this, Guan Shan didn't continue his brutal actions against the elite zombie.
He straightened up, looked around, walked over, picked up the stone, and examined it, finding nothing unusual.
"Strange... someone definitely threw it here."
Guan Shan frowned in thought. As his level increased, his perception of his surroundings became more acute. This stone had been thrown here, not fallen from a height.
"Could there be someone else here?"
While Guan Shan pondered.
Worker Bee Seventeen was overjoyed, almost in tears, thinking Guan Shan finally showed mercy, spilling everything he knew.
Lin Shuman quickly took notes.
Just as Guan Shan, finding nothing, was about to return and finish off the zombie, he heard footsteps.
These weren't ordinary footsteps but urgent ones, created by someone quickly moving between buildings.
Guan Shan immediately turned around and saw a creature resembling an alien appearing on the building's wall.
Its deformed face looked like it wore an iron mask, eyes completely black with a hint of crimson, hind legs with backward-bending knees, and a thick tail swishing behind it. Sharp claws were deeply embedded in the plastered wall, causing dusty flakes to fall.
Information appeared.
[BOSS [Speedster] Unusual Zombie (lv.10)]
[HP: 800]
[Description: It can kill you in an instant.]
"Hiss—"
It opened its gaping mouth, emitting a low, provocative growl at Guan Shan.
"Swish!"
The next moment, its figure vanished instantly.
Guan Shan's expression turned serious.
"No wonder I haven't seen the BOSS. It was waiting to ambush! Level 10 but with only 800 HP, unlike the previous driver with a full ten thousand. Such unbalanced stats plus the description... this BOSS's Attack Power must be extremely high!"
Seeing the alien disappear, he didn't hesitate, activating [Gravity Control], and rolled to the side.
In the next moment, he heard the sound of the wind being split, sharp claws cutting through the air, even producing sonic boom-like noises, very terrifying.
After dodging an attack, Guan Shan looked back, only to see the alien with a bizarre smile. It pushed off the wall with its legs, propelling itself in another direction!
Guan Shan's heart sank. That direction was where Shen Dinghua was!
