Chapter 367: Chapter 248 Holy Shit! King Aura!
The time was one o’clock in the afternoon.
After finishing their fishing, Chen Yun and Bai Shi, together with Jiang Anping and Sun Huwen, went to have a meal, and then they excitedly hurried toward the mountains.
Around this small town, there was a forest scenic area, and the place they initially planned to visit was this forest area located in the southwest of Sichuan.
The forest scenic area was named Cuiyun Valley.
It was hidden among the towering mountains and hills, as if it were a secret garden meticulously carved by nature. It not only had a rich ecological resource base but also contained a profound cultural depth. It was a tourist attraction that brought together natural beauty and cultural charm.
As the four of them drove up the winding road in the sightseeing car provided by the scenic area, the view gradually transitioned from the town’s everyday life to the tranquility of the primitive forest.
Sunlight filtered through the dense tree canopy, casting a mottled pattern of light and shadows, while the air was filled with the fresh scent of soil and vegetation, with the occasional sound of babbling water from a mountain stream in the distance.
In addition to the natural scenery, there were several ancient buildings and relics inside Cuiyun Valley, such as the ancient temples hidden among the forest and the stone murals carved by the years.
They told stories of the past quietly, adding a layer of cultural significance to the forest scenic area.
The road that the sightseeing car could traverse was not long.
The remaining part was not accessible to vehicles.
It was not long before Chen Yun and the others got out of the car and started walking.
Numerous hiking trails meandered through Cuiyun Valley, threading between the venerable trees.
Walking through them,
indeed, gave a unique feeling.
As they walked on the trails of Cuiyun Valley, Chen Yun, Bai Shi, Jiang Anping, and Sun Huwen seemed to have stepped into a world far removed from the noise and clamor.
The earthen trail beneath their feet was covered with a thick layer of fallen leaves, and every step made a soft rustling sound that harmonized with the quiet around them.
The ancient trees on both sides reached for the sky, their trunks covered in moss, and their leaves woven into a green dome, obscuring most of the sky.
Only a few stubborn beams of light managed to pierce through, creating intricate patterns of light and shadow on the ground.
They continued along the trail, occasionally coming across uniquely shaped rocks or crystal clear streams. The water danced between the stones, making a pleasant tinkling sound that added liveliness and vitality to the serene valley.
The sudden appearance of a squirrel or a mountain bird would spark whispers of delight. Everyone instinctively slowed down, careful not to disturb the rare harmony of the wild ecosystem.
After a while, they arrived at an observation deck offering a wide view.
From there, one could overlook the magnificent scenery of the entire Cuiyun Valley.
The undulating mountain range looked like waves of green, layer upon layer, stretching to the horizon. The small town in the valley appeared and disappeared within the mist, adding a mysterious touch to the scene.
The sunlight slanted across the valley, bathing it in a layer of golden hue.
The group stood quietly, taking in the view.
Then they suddenly noticed a group of people not far from the observation deck.
Surrounded by professional photography equipment, the group was particularly noticeable.
Chen Yun immediately recognized them as the team they had encountered that morning near the fishing gear rental.
Now, their expressions varied, with some pacing back and forth anxiously, some calling out on walkie-talkies, seemingly trying to contact someone.
Chen Yun’s spiritual power swept over.
He immediately noticed that the clumsy guy from the morning who had damaged the camera was apparently not among them.
"It looks like they’ve run into some trouble," Bai Shi said softly, curiosity apparent in his eyes.
But it was just curiosity.
In today’s society, there weren’t that many kind-hearted, helpful people.
At least Bai Shi certainly was not one of them.
If he had been, he would have been dead by now in his past criminal career. Therefore, he was not concerned about the trouble the group might have encountered.
However, just because he didn’t go over,
that didn’t mean they wouldn’t come over.
A middle-aged man who looked like the leader noticed them.
He hurriedly approached with a somewhat anxious expression.
"Hello! Have you seen a young man carrying a camera? He’s one of our photographers; he said he was going over there to take some shots more than an hour ago, and he hasn’t returned," he said, pointing toward a trail leading deeper into the area, his voice filled with concern.
Clearly,
the clumsy young man from the morning had gone missing.
In these deep woods,
the signal was obviously not good, and they probably couldn’t contact the young man at all.
Considering this, Chen Yun pondered for a moment before saying, "We just came from that direction and didn’t see the person you’re talking about."
Saying a few words was a small effort; he wasn’t about to ignore them.
And what he said was true.
On the way here,
he really hadn’t seen that person.
Hearing this, the middle-aged leader’s expression became more confused and disappointed.
And even more helpless.
If that young man had an accident, he, as the team leader, couldn’t escape responsibility.
"The path leads close to the edge of this scenic area. If we really can’t find him, it’s possible that he went out through the wire fence at the edge."
Bai Shi suddenly mentioned a possibility from the side.
On their way there, they indeed had seen many wire fences, which were barriers separating the scenic area from the outside world.
This forest scenic area only occupied a small part of the vast forest and mountains.
Beyond the wire fences lay the real primitive forest.
If the missing person did head in the direction the group had come from and couldn’t be seen,
