Chapter 66: I’m Sorry. Send Help.

Plotter, whose head only reached their chest, grabbed them by the wrist. But before he could even utter the scenario phrase, Rayen flicked his hand away.

"Liam’s also here. Are we going to leave him behind?" Rayen said.

Although Rayen also wanted to hurry back, he was reluctant to leave his friend behind. More so because he wanted to clear up the reason behind the scene he had just witnessed in his apartment. Also, there could be other participants lost in this place aside from them.

Plotter stared at them for a moment.

"We’ll look for the others later. But for now, I have to take you back. I only have 15 minutes to use this scenario. We have to go before it ends."

’So, it really was a scenario. 15 minutes... That’s too short.’

Finally, Rayen relented, his hands lowering and letting Plotter clutch onto him.

Plotter declared. "Abracadabra, a portal to Flower Garden Agency."

Hearing that line, Rayen wondered whose Life Book he plagiarized again to make this scenario book page.

After that, another slit appeared before them, tearing the space like it was paper. Plotter pulled them in, and Rayen felt the familiar disorienting feeling of travelling through space.

When the darkness lifted, they found themselves in a familiar retro-style lounge. Numerous gazes from the panicking staff members immediately landed on the three of them.

"You’re back!" Director exclaimed in relief, especially while staring at Adrian.

Somewhat, the gloominess that Rayen had felt after his encounter with Jared dispersed a little bit. The welcoming gazes of the staff members seemed to soak Rayen’s bitter feeling, lifting his mood.

Plotter let go of his wrist the moment they arrived and gathered a bunch of staff members to remedy the situation.

"Call the sponsors in those locations to help search for the participants!" Plotter said, acting like a competent adult.

Now that Rayen had come back, he no longer had to worry.

Then, as he remembered something, he glanced back at Rayen and held out his hand. "Lend me Propagator."

Rayen blinked, unable to fathom what he had just heard.

"Lend me your system," Plotter repeated.

"Oh."

’Right. Mini Plotter calls himself Propagator system too. Was I fetched just for this?’

Rayen handed his phone to Plotter’s small hands. Immediately after, Plotter disappeared into one of the rooms along with the other staff members and the Director.

Rayen and Adrian were left hanging, without anyone to ask what had just happened.

Suddenly, Rayen turned to his writer friend beside him, his palm also stretched out. "Lend me your system too."

Rayen was curious of the scenario book page that Plotter used to fetch them.

It was quite a wonder.

Tearing space in the air was even more fantasy-like than when Plotter used telekinesis during his first interview.

The ninja scenario was also magical, but comparing it with the scenario earlier, it seemed more like a magic trick rather than a supernatural ability.

Fingers hovering on the screen, Rayen browsed through the Memorial Shop. He selected a filter to only show him scenario book pages, but when it took effect, Rayen’s eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets.

’Expensive. Scenarios are too damn expensive!’

Actually, he already expected it. The Ninja scenario had already cost 30,000 MC, and it was only a common one.

But this...

[Liar, Liar

Type: Scenario (Common)

Price: 15,000 MC]

[Talent Pool

Type: Scenario (Rare)

Price: 100,000 MC]

Sigh.

"I should really ask Mini Plotter to issue me some temporary missions that could reward me Memorial Coins," Rayen muttered to himself.

"Temporary missions? It can do that?" Adrian asked, amazed.

"Probably." Rayen nodded. "That night when you caught me talking to it, it issued me one."

Adrian touched his chin, deep in contemplation. Then he said, "It sounds like a cheat."

Chuckling wryly, Rayen resumed on browsing the shop.

’What cheat? More like an annoying virus.’

As his fingers swiped up, his eyes darted from left to right, finding that particular scenario until he found it near the bottom rows.

[Abracadabra: The Overseer of Scribes once said, "Heh. If I’m creating something magical, this magic word is the first thing a magician should say!"

Effect: Once activated, anything the user says will appear inside the scenario area.

Usage: Say "Abracadabra!" before declaring what the user wanted.

Limit: Effects only confined within a 15-meter radius. (15 minutes)

Type: Scenario

Rarity: Miracle (2 still in stock)

Price: 3,000,000 MC]

Six zeroes. 3 million Memorial Coins. Miracle. Rayen put the phone down, his eyes hurting at the sight of the large number.

’What a big spender...’

Plotter just spent a miracle scenario to fetch Rayen’s phone?

Lifting the phone again, Rayen’s eyes narrowed when the vibrant multi-colored interface he had left open blinded him. Quickly, he pressed the close button before heading to the list of Adrian’s friends.

Rayen stared at Liam’s stage name. There was a red bullet beside it, indicating his and Adrian’s newly formed friendship.

He decisively tapped it.

Typing, Rayen said, "Where are you? We’re back."

He wasn’t really expecting Liam to reply after he left them out of the blue like that. However, in an instant, a response appeared below the message Rayen had just sent.

[KLi: I’m dying again... (crying Plotter emoji)]

’???’

[KLi: I’m sorry... Send help.]

’Oh. He’s probably replying because he thought it was Adrian.’

With a smirk, Rayen typed once again.

[Navin: Tell us where you are first.]

Liam immediately sent his location. Reading it, Rayen made up his mind. He wouldn’t let this person go after he came back. No matter what. Even if he came up of a reason again.

Rayen also wanted to message Yeo Haru, who should have been a part of his group, but he wasn’t a friend of Adrian’s. Handing the phone back to the owner calmly watching the scene, Rayen thanked him.

Adrian exited Liam’s chat window before staring at one of the names on the list. From his 1st round group, only he and Ara had proceeded to the second segment of the private broadcast.

Sighing, he also sent her a message asking where she was. When he received Ara’s information, he and Rayen told a curly girl staff member, the same one that gave Rayen the cactus card before.

Upon hearing it, the staff member’s eyes twinkled in realization.

"Can I borrow your phone?" she asked.

Adrian nodded after a brief moment of hesitation. After she received his permission, she scrambled toward the room where Plotter and the Director had disappeared to.

Realizing that it would take a while before the situation could be fixed, Rayen suggested, "Let’s go eat."

He was tired.
