Chapter 126: You Survived!

A group of people gathered outside the broadcasting studio. One big, one small, two dazed, and two heavenly looking. There was another person waiting separate from the group, his back leaning on the wall.

Some stray participants also waited away from the large group, worry deeply etched on their faces.

"It’s already almost 30 minutes..." Xu Jiji said to Mr. Big News.

After the announcement for the elimination, their teammates suddenly disappeared in front of them. Yeon Miwol officiated the new sponsorships program, which lasted for only 20 minutes.

Everyone waited outside the studio after the event, waiting for the results of the participants that fell under the danger line.

"I hope they’re okay," Xu Jiji added.

Mr. Big News nodded.

Adrian, one of the heavenly-looking guys, watched by the side, wondering about the change of these two. Before, they acted as if Rayen was a criminal they had to avoid at all cost, but now, here they were, acting as though he was truly their teammate.

Yeo Haru, who was standing far away from them, also glanced their way after hearing their words. He did not say anything, though.

The two dazed by the side were Renjiro and Liam respectively. They only stared at the door, listening for any movements inside. Meanwhile, Iris waited for Nana to come out.

Adrian glanced back at the shut door, his expression unreadable. He wasn’t too worried though. At most, Rayen’s points only fell short for a bit. Surely, his sponsors wouldn’t decide to let him go.

Just then, the door to the studio clicked open. Flinching in surprise, the people outside stared in its direction.

Numerous footsteps echoed from inside. One by one, the participants went out. The dazed Renjiro suddenly regained his clarity upon seeing Minho and Binh walk out.

He waved and called for them earnestly. "Bing! Min—"

"It’s Minho," Minho said before Renjiro could finish his words.

"I’m Binh," Binh also corrected him.

"Oh..." Renjiro exclaimed, but still went over them. He hugged his two friends. "Thankfully, you’re still here."

The two immediately relaxed upon hearing his words, their shoulders loosening.

"Yeah..." the two whispered.

When Nana appeared, the kind-hearted Iris immediately approached her. Xu Jiji also noticed her and went ahead to hug her. Nana wailed in these two fake men’s embrace.

"I thought I’d disappear!"

"It’s fine now, Sis. You survived!" Xu Jiji happily exclaimed.

Nana bobbed her head up and down while wiping her tears.

The last one to appear was the red-haired Rayen. As he glanced around the people waiting outside, an arm suddenly draped over his shoulder. Something heavy weighed down on him, almost making him stumble.

"You’re alive, Mr. Vocalist," Adrian said.

Scowling, Rayen forcefully pried Adrian’s arm off him. Another figure approached the two of them — Liam.

Rayen straightened his back after Adrian let go of him. "I’m still alive."

Upon seeing that Rayen and the others were safe, Yeo Haru silently left the floor. Rayen noticed him but didn’t call out to him.

Just then, the banging of the door behind them resounded throughout the whole floor as it shut on its own. Those people waiting for their companions but haven’t seen them stood frozen in place.

In total... from 17 participants, only 7 made it out.

One participant approached Rayen and asked, "Excuse me, where are the others?"

A bitter smile made its way into Rayen’s lips. That simple action was enough for the participant to understand.

"Okay," he said and then left.

"What happened inside?" Adrian asked.

Rayen pursed his lips for a moment. "It’s hard to explain here..."

"Do you want to hit the cafeteria?" Adrian said, understanding what he meant.

In all honesty, Rayen did feel hungry, but at the same time, he felt like not eating. After he went out of that place, the sensation that kept them calm also disappeared. Now, his stomach was churning upside down.

He recalled the scene he had witnessed inside. The dispersing lights, the seeds floating in the air before making its way into Plotter’s hand...

Rayen covered his mouth, suppressing his vomit. Pale-faced, he looked at his two friends.

"I’ll pass," he said.

Just what the hell happened inside?

Adrian and Liam didn’t press him for answers. Just seeing his reaction was enough for them to infer what kind of situation happened.

Eliminations...

It had started.

Just then, Rayen’s teammates for this round all approached him. The five stared at each other, their eyes clear.

"We made it," Rayen said, his gradually complexion returning to normal.

"I nearly died," Minho said jokingly.

Rayen laughed.

’Yeah, that was close.’

"But Bro, you’re so amazing!"

Nana also nodded her head repeatedly. The others who didn’t know of the situation all stared at Minho and Rayen, puzzled.

Rayen chuckled wryly. "Well, I..."

Rayen’s notoriety spread fast among the participants.

As the matter about the eliminations were too hard to talk about, the participants who’ve witnessed the elimination segment only told of Rayen’s tale.

"Suddenly, the numbers rose! I almost wet my pants!" One participant spoke with exaggerated words.

Inside the cafeteria, Rayen could hear the numerous buzzes around him as he approached a table with a tray in hand. He was alone right now since Adrian still wanted to laze around his bed.

’What the hell are they saying? It’s not true!’

What Rayen meant by not being true was having more sponsors than Xu Jiji. In actuality, Xu Jiji’s sponsors had also increased.

Now, Xu Jiji has 18 sponsors. One more than Rayen’s. Some sponsors who let go of their participants decided to support the strong candidates instead.

But more than ten sponsors... Just how chaotic would it be?

After the eventful day yesterday, they were given one day to rest. It was a bit short, considering what had happened.

Even though the cafeteria was buzzing with noise, it seemed less crowded now. Only 24 participants remained.

Next round, how many would remain? How many would disappear?

Rayen shook his head.

He decided to not think about it for a moment. Today was their break! He shouldn’t think about anything related to this matter.
