I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess
Chapter 245 - 245: Leonardo Von Lionbright?

Leonardo Von Lionbright was the current king of Restara and ruler of the Southern Region.

And...

"Fath—" Reph stopped mid-sentence.

He was Reph's biological father...

The Prince glanced towards the people in their vicinity, who happened to have stopped what they were doing to watch.

He coughed subtly into the side of his fist and quickly corrected himself, "Your Highness... why are you here?" He asked, his voice filled with confusion.

The king grunted, glancing down towards Millis as she chuckled nervously. Then, she found a hand landing on her head, roughly patting it.

"Do look where you are going, child." Leonardo spoke expressionlessly and even coldly—a contrast to his warm gesture.

The king then pinched the back collar of Millis's shirt, gently raising her to the air and placing her to the side before making his way over to the Second Prince, who stood stiffly.

Reph watched as the man placed a hand on his shoulder, patting it. He raised his gaze up, staring at his father's face, which now had a small smile on his wrinkled face.

"I've been looking for you, boy." The man's wrinkled face smiled, "You seem to be more active despite your horrid tiredness. Has the Academy done you any good?"

Reph stared at him awkwardly, thinking of how to structure his words to not make himself sound slack.

"It has... I've met some interesting individuals here."

"Is that so? By meet, you mean became acquainted and befriended, correct?"

"That's... yeah..."

Reph glanced away, rubbing the back of his neck shyly under his father's gaze.

He continued to hide his face once Millis popped up between them.

The Heroine raised her hand towards the king, intending to go for a handshake with a cheery grin.

"Greetings, oh king! I'm Millis Vellen. A friend of your son."

Leonardo, having given her a confused look, perked up slightly at the term 'friend'.

He scrutinised Millis's face, finding it full of confidence and not being intimidated in the slightest by him.

He smiled slightly.

"Oh? You're friends with my son, are you?"

He moved his large hand to meet the girl's, wrapping it in his fingers and shaking it, "I hope he's treating a young lady like you well."

Millis laughed, scratching the back of her head.

"Hahaha, he is!"

After the two disengaged from their handshake, Millis moved back to Reph's side and wrapped an arm around the side of his neck.

"This guy carried me back home after I was totally wasted one time. That day was on his birthday."

As Millis's laughter bellowed, Reph couldn't help but cover his face, rubbing it as he muttered repeatedly:

"This is embarrassing..."

The king, smirking at Reph's muttering, widened his eyes at Millis's words.

"Oh, yes. Besides me coming here to see you, I've also remembered to bring you a gift, boy."

Reph pulled his face out of his hand, glancing up at his father, who held out a ring to him. A ring that seemed to have been imbued with the element of space.

A spatial ring.

Nothing looked special about it, other than it had a gold band to keep it together.

Reph, pinching it in between his thumb and index, scrutinised the ring.

This was a common way to give gifts of large value and size. Made it more convenient to carry around and store.

"I do hope you'll enjoy the small gift inside. It was rather expensive to produce."

Reph tilted his head slightly before returning his attention towards the ring. He sent his mana inside it and scanned the inside. Soon after, a smile spread across his lips.

The ring fell from his fingers and rolled into his hand, which had closed on it tightly. He looked back towards his father and nodded gratefully:

"Thank you, your Highness, I'll cherish your gift."

The king nodded, happy with his son's response, before looking towards the side.

What he found was a certain black-haired woman giving an exact 90-degree bow.

He then heard her say:

"Marionette Von Roselle greets the king. I hope this day finds you well."

Leonardo stroked his chin, scrutinising the woman before him before responding in a firm voice:

"It has. Do raise your head, by the way."

Marionette slowly straightened her posture, now standing upright.

Leonardo watched as the woman straightened her clothes, smoothing out any creases.

He couldn't help but let her words linger inside his mind, particularly her name. She also looked rather familiar.

"You're Marek's daughter, correct?"

"Yes, you are correct." Marionette nodded swiftly.

Leonardo continued to scrutinise the woman's expressionless face before glancing towards his son.

He stared at him for a moment before asking:

"Friends with even a Roselle? Your time here is doing you good."

Reph stared at his father for a prolonged moment before slowly drifting his gaze towards the Assassin, who was staring at him, also waiting for an answer.

"Yeahh... friends..."

"You seem oddly uncertain of that. But I shall not pry into your personal affairs."

The king, turning back towards Marionette, asked:

"Have your family decided on which side to choose yet? Or have you not chosen yet?"

Marionette remained silent. She glanced between the king's face and his son's. Although her own expression was one of indifference, her eyes spoke otherwise.

The king noticed this and nodded with a stiff expression.

"Very well. I do hope your family come to their senses and remain on our side. Those rebellious noble factions aren't a good investment." He shook his head.

He turned back towards his son and said:

"I shall be leaving now." He then paused, "Perhaps its better if you come with me to go meet them. They've missed you a fair amount since you left."

Reph nodded slowly.

"Is my brother here?"

The king sighed.

"Unfortunately, not. The borders of the—" He glanced towards the spectators, finding them still watching them. He gave them a wave while coughing, exaggerated into the side of his fist.

The people, understanding his gesture, flusteredly turned away from them.

The king lowered his hand and answered his son's question.
