I Was Kidnapped By The Strongest Guild -
Chapter 156: Documentary
Haah.
A middle-aged man looked up at the sky and let out a long sigh.
He took out a cigarette from his pocket but didn't actually light it.
He glanced at me and only crumpled the cigarette pack.
Was there a problem with the filming?
The middle-aged man continued to exhale towards the air.
It looked like he was smoking an invisible cigarette.
Feeling uncomfortable with the heavy atmosphere, I just fiddled with the teapot containing dandelion tea.
"Friend, how much do you think this tea costs?"
"Tea? The tea is free.""Free? Even though it has a buff effect?"
The middle-aged man put the crumpled cigarette pack back into his pocket.
I could tell from his expression, which seemed to be free from worries, that he had been concerned about the cost of the tea.
"Since I offered the tea first, I don't charge in such cases."
"You only charge in other cases?"
"Yes. We sell it at the guild cafe."
Seeming relieved that there was no charge, he gulped down the remaining dandelion tea in one go.
"Ahh... how much does this usually cost?"
"A cup costs about a hundred thousand won."
"A, a hundred thousand won...?"
"Yes... is it a bit expensive...?"
Although people around said it was okay, it was too expensive by my standards.
Even knowing the buff was the main feature, I couldn't accept a tea costing a hundred thousand won per cup.
Wasn't it ripping off adventurers?
Hesitantly, I looked up at the middle-aged man.
"Why is it so cheap...?"
"Cheap?"
"Yeah. I thought it would be at least a million won. Even a non-adventurer like me can feel the effect."
"I, I see..."
I heard that buffs are mostly applied as a percentage.
A ten percent increase is a significant growth for an adventurer, but it's a subtle area for a non-adventurer.
If a non-adventurer could feel the buff, how amazing must it be?
I didn't know exactly, but I could tell it was a pretty useful buff.
Of course, I had no intention of raising the price here.
A hundred thousand won was the limit I set.
Anyway, it was tea I could make as much as I wanted.
There was no reason to be greedy.
"Wow, thanks to you, I'm enjoying luxury."
The middle-aged man extended his cup with both hands.
It was an exaggeratedly polite gesture.
"Drink a lot. There's plenty of tea."
"Haha, thanks, but I'll stop here. I'm not that shameless."
"It's okay to drink more."
"No, I've already had enough. This is sufficient."
Was it because I mentioned the price of the tea?
No one else came for more tea.
Knowing they felt burdened, I didn't offer more.
Next time, I won't reveal the price of the tea.
Resolving this, I watched the rest of the filming with the children.
The documentary filming was more interesting than I expected.

It was the day the documentary was broadcast.
I moved to the living room with everyone to watch TV.
"Hmm... there's not enough space on the sofa."
"I can sit on the massage chair."
"But it'll still be lacking, right?"
Yeoreum crossed her arms and tapped her arm with her fingers.
At the sound of the tapping, my ears perked up, and I tugged at her clothes.
"I'll sit on the floor."
"No, I'll sit on the floor. We should get a bigger sofa later."
Yeoreum slid her hands under my armpits and forcibly sat me on the sofa.
Levinas bounced over next to me.
"Levinas has a solution!"
"A solution?!"
"Yes! You can sit on someone's lap!"
"Oh...! Then there's no need to buy a new sofa?!"
"Exactly!"
Yeoreum, seeming to realize something, clapped her hands.
The sound drew everyone's attention.
"How about rock-paper-scissors to decide who sits on whose lap?"
"Hmm..."
Isn't it usually the loser who sits on the lap?
Tilting his head, he extended his hand forward.
Including me, the number of people small enough to sit on a lap was three.
But there were four hands extended.
The owner of the much larger hand than ours was Jung Yu-na, who was laughing.
"…Yu-na, you're out."
"…It was just a joke, you're so mean."
Hmph.
Jung Yu-na grumbled as she stepped back.
The rock-paper-scissors game began.
With good eyesight, I could see what the kids were going to throw.
Having no choice, I closed my eyes and played. Luckily, I was the winner.
"Gyeoul wins."
Slap, slap.
Yeoreum patted her thigh.
I hesitated a bit before sitting on her thigh.
When she wrapped her arms around my stomach, my tail wagged uncontrollably.
I was used to it by now, so I didn't mind.
"Gyeoul, are you going to be on the show too?"
"Well… I'm not sure."
"Not sure?"
"Yes. They said they filmed secretly to capture natural moments."
It would be bad if anything strange or negative came out.
I watched the documentary with some concern.
The documentary showed the life of an adventurer without any lies.
It compared the admired life of adventurers with their real lives.
It also mentioned how many adventurers died each year.
It showed adventurers actually fighting in dungeons.
"The cinematography is nice."
"Yes, it is."
I wondered when the kids would appear.
I watched the documentary with anticipation.
However, even as the video neared its end, the kids didn't appear.
"It's almost over…"
"Hmph… Levinas didn't appear…"
Just as Levinas's shoulders drooped, the narrator began saying something meaningful.
-There are no conditions to become an adventurer. Race and age don't matter.
With this line, images of me and the kids appeared.
It showed Levinas's carrot badge, and then my and Saebyeok's novice adventurer badges, capturing our overall image.
Levinas held my tail with both hands as if it were a precious item.
The tip of my tail, held tightly, wiggled left and right.
Saebyeok stood behind the bench, fiddling with my ears.
My ears quivered from the tickling touch.
The documentary ended with our footage.
"Oh my."
"Hmm…"
Yeoreum covered her mouth, only expressing "Oh my."
Sophia had a satisfied expression.
Choi Jinhyuk, Jung Yu-na, Encia, and Argo seemed somewhat pleased as well.
"It was a truly heartwarming video."
"Yes. The reaction on the community is crazy."
Yeoreum laughed while looking at her smartphone.
Wanting to see the community response too, I brought her hand in front of me.

【Anyone just watched the adventurer documentary?】
Author: BeastkinLover
I was watching seriously and then at the end, OMG
───
[Froggy: I watched... Almost died from the cuteness at the end...]
[└BeastkinLover: The broadcaster tried to kill you with that.]
[└Froggy: With that level of effort, it's polite to die...]
[└CollapsedTiger: LOL]
[SuA's Mom: The kids seem to get along so well. I'm glad to see young friends looking happy.]
[└LuluNana: Indeed.]
[RealReal: My heart hurts... seriously...]
───
Not a bad reaction overall.
I was relieved that the kids weren't being criticized by strangers.
"That's a relief."
"What's a relief?"
"I thought people might say something bad after watching the show."
"Hehe, who in the world would say anything bad about Gyeoul? If someone does, I'll scold them."
Yeoreum hugged me tightly.
Feeling the comfort, my whole body relaxed.
"It's okay. I don't mind being criticized. I was worried Saebyeok and Levinas would be criticized."
"…No, I mind. If anyone says something to Gyeoul, I won't let it slide."
"Um… okay."
Just as I worried about the kids, Yeoreum worried about me.
I decided to accept her kindness for now.
"If something happens, you must let me know, okay?"
"Gyeoul, please tell me as well."
"Yes."
Swaying gently.
My wagging tail tickled Yeoreum's chin.
I was simply happy for the kindness my family showed me.

The next morning.
Having received a request from Yoo Sang-ah to deliver something, I headed to the top floor where the Master was.
It was a box the size of my head, but the contents were quite light.
"Hello."
I greeted the guards waiting in front of the Master's office.
Since they were fellow guild members, the guards smiled back.
"Here to see the Master?"
"Yes."
The guard in a black suit was about to knock on the door.
But the Master's voice came first.
"Come in."
"Yes."
I opened the door and entered the Master's office.
The Master was preparing to go out, gathering his car keys.
"A delivery?"
"Yes. I'm here to deliver a package."
"Just toss it over there."
"Yes."
I placed the package on the table and looked up at the Master.
He smirked and pointed his thumb at the guards outside the door.
"I've never seen them smile before."
"Don't they smile often?"
"No way."
"Huh...?"
They smiled at me every time we passed by, though.
What's going on?
The Master must have been mistaken about something.
"I have to go somewhere now. I feel bad since you came all the way here."
"It's okay."
"Hmm... It's not much, but."
The Master gently pushed me.
Towards the place where his desk was.
The only desk in the large space, emanating a sense of power.
"Sit in this chair."
"Me?"
Could I sit in a seat that looked like a symbol of power?
I watched the Master and then sat in the chair.
"You are the Master for today."
"What...?"
"It's job experience. Just handle phone calls and visitors."
"...?"
Why all of a sudden?
Is this some kind of prank?
I gaped at the Master.
"I have an urgent matter, so I have to go."
The Master said goodbye and disappeared out the door.
The sound of the elevator going down indicated that this wasn't a joke.
I was left alone in this vast space of power.
Ring-ring!
The phone rang, but I couldn't answer it.
I couldn't take calls when I didn't even understand the situation.
