I Was a Loner, but My Class Got Summoned to Another World… -
Chapter 366 - 366: True Wind Blessed
As it finished inspecting both heroes, the wind spirit slowly circled them with quiet grace. Silvia bowed slightly, her voice calm and composed as she addressed it.
"Thank you for your knowledge. That is all I seek from my part."
Logan figured her business with the spirit was finished. She needed to gather knowledge from all seven elements in order to advance her class—just like he had to do on his own path.
[Now, your turn, Hero of Darkness. We shall first bless your creature.]
The spirit's voice returned, quieter than before, more focused and deliberate.
[The Hurricane Garuda is more than qualified to be your Chosen of Wind. Unlike the Primordials, a Chosen is directly given energy from the spirits. In the future, they may even be allowed to become one of us. This will strengthen your bond with the wind and prepare you for your next step.]
Logan learned something new from speaking to the spirit directly, he was stomped on what the roll of a chosen was compared to a primordial, he did not notice a chosen have a gem like a primordial so there had to be something more to them. He would check this out later though.
The spirit allowed the words to settle around him before continuing.
[But let us leave that topic for now. What we can offer you goes far beyond that—if you are willing to help us.]
Logan listened carefully, the spirit's whisper seemed to vibrate the air around his ears as if brushing against his thoughts. After a brief pause, he replied.
"What is it you can offer? As for help, I already fight the demons—and I will continue to fight them."
[We do not doubt your intentions,] the spirit responded gently. [You have passed our test, and we believe you are capable of fulfilling what we ask. But there is something more we require from you.]
[At the end of all this, we need a hero who, unlike Rowland, will choose to remain. One who can prevent this tragedy from ever happening again. We hope you will accept this role.]
Both Logan and Silvia stiffened at the name. That name—Rowland—had not been heard clearly in more than a century. Neither of them had seen it written in official records, only vague references passed down through fading stories. They had always assumed he had died in this world.
"Wait… so there's a way back?" Silvia asked cautiously, stepping forward with a mix of hope and doubt in her voice.
[There may be a way back, but it comes with great risk. You would have to part with the core we have given you, along with all memories and items tied to this world.]
[In return, you would be granted an extension of life—a strong, healthy body, stronger than any normal human. That is all we can offer as a reward. There is… one more thing we may provide, but that will come later, after the war is over.]
[Now choose, hero. We wind spirits do not remain in one place for long. Our presence damages the world around us more than it should.]
Logan lowered his gaze, deep in thought as the wind quietly surrounded him. Power was always tempting—he could gain more of it here. That alone was already reason enough to consider accepting.
But the choice to stay was the true question.
He had already made that decision once before. There was no going back for him. He had too much to lose in this world now—and far too little waiting for him in the old one. Still, if there truly was a way, at least the others might have a choice to return.
He nodded firmly.
"Alright. I'll carry out your revenge. And I have already decided to stay, so what you need from me will be done."
[Then it is done. A pact with a spirit is not something easily broken, hero. Now—accept our blessing.]
Without warning, Logan was lifted into the air, his body suspended as if caught in an invisible current. He instinctively summoned his wings, but quickly realized he didn't need them. He was floating on his own.
The wind held him as if cradling something sacred.
He could feel it all around him—this blessing was different.
Unlike the blessings of Light and Darkness, this one moved through him naturally. Wind responded to his presence without needing to draw mana. It came to him willingly, instinctively, as if it had always been a part of him.
Something within him had changed.
Not just in his mana, but in his body, in his senses, in his very existence.
Now, alongside the blessings of Darkness and Light—Logan carried the true blessing of Wind.
