Chapter 603: Chapter 603 - This Term’s President is Too Hard To Deal With (1)_1
...
Han Jingnian stared at the message Xia Wan’an had sent to Zhang Te’s mobile phone, frowning with a skeptical expression. After frowning a couple of times, he reluctantly picked up his phone and imitating Zhang Te’s usual style, he typed, "Ma’am, I’m sorry. I was wrong, and I won’t dare to do it again. I will work for the company for a year without compensation."
After ending his chat with Xia Wan’an, Han Jingnian thought for a while before picking up the landline on his desk and dialing Zhang Te’s internal number.
With the call being picked up, a loud sneezing sound came through the handset.
A hint of disgust passed through Han Jingnian’s eyes, and he coldly dropped a sentence, "come to my office," and then planned to hang up the phone without waiting for Zhang Te’s response. However, just as he was about to put down the handset, he heard another sneeze from Zhang Te’s end.
Had Zhang Cheng caught a cold?
Han Jingnian paused his action of holding the handset, then brought it to his ear again and said, "Before you enter my office, remember to wear a mask."
"Ah?" Faced with Zhang Te’s bewildered response, Han Jingnian didn’t say anything and hung up the phone directly.
Soon, there was a knock at the office door.
Han Jingnian, flipping through the documents on his desk without lifting his head, spoke, "Come in."
The door was pushed open, and a masked Zhang Te, whose face was half covered, promptly entered. "Boss Han, you called for me...Achoo!"
Han Jingnian frowned, looked up at Zhang Te who was hurrying towards his desk and abruptly said, "Stand right there!"
Zhang Te abruptly stopped his steps about two meters away from the desk. After stabilizing himself, he sneezed again heavily. Then, through his mask, he rubbed his tickling nose and asked, "Boss Han, why do you want me to wear a mask?"
Han Jingnian glanced at Zhang Te, confirmed that he was far enough from him, then lowered his head to sign some papers. While signing, he casually said, "Stay away from me when you have a cold. Don’t infect me. Unlike you, I have a family. If you infect me, you’ll in effect be infecting An’an."
Zhang Te’s eyes, visible outside the mask, widened instantly. "...What?" So he had to wear a mask just because he’d sneezed a few times? And, was he called in to discuss work, or to be force-fed some show of affection?
Zhang Te, who felt choked for a while, finally spoke, "Boss Han, do you need something from me?"
"Help me contact someone..." As Han Jingnian started speaking, he typed something on his keyboard.
Then Zhang Te’s mobile phone made a ding-dong sound. After he took it out to check, he exclaimed in surprise, "Qiao Anhao, the actress who’s won the Best Actress award for three consecutive years?"
"Boss Han, what do you want to contact her for? Are you thinking of having her endorse our autumn products? Her influence is indeed huge, but... she hasn’t appeared on screen for many years. You should know she’s been rated online as the hardest actress to invite, and many people are desperate to invite her for a single on-screen appearance, but it’s incredibly difficult... this is too challenging..."
Before Zhang Te could finish speaking, Han Jingnian interjected, "She will agree because her husband and I met in America and he owes me a favor."
