"Mr. Han, the Garden Villa, Madame’s own house, we haven’t checked there yet! Maybe she has gone there!"

Unresponsive to Zhang Te’s frantic yelling, Han Jingnian slammed on the accelerator, recklessly speeding out of the city.

Upon reaching the Garden Villa, Han Jingnian pulled off an emergency stop right outside Xia Wan’an’s villa. Before his car came to a complete halt, he had already flung open the car door and sprinted towards the villa entrance. He quickly punched in the passcode, kicked open the door, and dashed inside.

The lights were on in the first-floor living room. The floor was so clean that it accurately reflected people’s faces. The furniture was clean too, as was the chandelier.

Dumbstruck by the impeccable cleanliness of the room, Han Jingnian stood still for a moment before going upstairs. The second floor was just as spotless, with the bed neatly made and not a single crease on the sheets... but there was no sign of Xia Wan’an.

Glancing through the car window, Han Jingnian noticed the garden light on the first floor. He dashed to the garden by the lakeside.

There were no weeds in the vegetable garden. The leaves of the plants and vegetables were wiped clean...

Xie Lin was the most cleanliness-obsessed person he knew, and he himself was somewhat obsessive about cleanliness... But this scenario made him feel uneasy nonetheless. He thought of the loft in the villa which he hadn’t checked yet, and hurried up the stairs. Before he could rush into the loft, he saw Xia Wan’an squatting on the balcony on the top floor, scrubbing the floor...
