As she said this, Xia Wan’an hastily stood up and started to rush towards the bedroom, then called out, "Han Jingnian, remember to put the leftovers in the fridge."

Han Jingnian grunted in affirmation then, as he watched Xia Wan’an scramble away, he said, "Zhang Cheng is downstairs. Have him drive you to the office, then he can come back for me."

"Got it," replied Xia Wan’an as she grabbed her bag and left the house.

After she had left, and the front door closed behind her, Xie Lin looked at Han Jingnian, "Mr. Han, Zhang Te mentioned that you suffered a severe nosebleed yesterday afternoon?"

Han Jingnian did not reply to Xie Lin’s query, instead he asked sharply, "How is she doing?"

"The effects are not visible yet; we’ll have to wait and see. If it doesn’t work, then we’ll have to come up with an alternative solution."

Han Jingnian gave a slight nod of understanding but did not speak further.

Xie Lin once again opened his mouth to speak, "Mr. Han, perhaps we should check what’s wrong with you first?"
