Chapter 424: Chapter 424: If Someone Crosses Me, Remove them Root and Stem (2)_1

As soon as Xia Wan’an came out of the "bathroom", everyone tacitly left the Chi Family’s villa.

Standing at the big entrance of the Chi Family’s villa, the first to bid farewell was Xia Chen’an, followed by Song Youman.

When Xia Chen’an proposed to leave, Xia Wan’an didn’t say anything. But when Song Youman said she wanted to go home, Xia Wan’an stopped her: "Youman."

She had so many, many questions to ask her, such as what was up with the child in her belly? Who was the child’s biological father?

Song Youman, of course, knew what Xia Wan’an wanted to talk about. But due to Han Zhijin’s sudden return to the country, her mind was in chaos and she was very tired. She did not want to discuss these matters for the time being. So when Xia Wan’an ran up to her, pulling her to a secluded spot, Song Youman spoke before she could even ask: "An’an, I know what you want to say, but I don’t want to talk about it today. Can we talk about it tomorrow?"

After Song Youman had put it that way, Xia Wan’an did not press her anymore. She nodded, said "Okay", then reached out and hugged Song Youman: "Youman, do you know how foolish you were tonight?"

"Who are you calling foolish?" Song Youman suddenly flared up. She pinched Xia Wan’an’s waist hard, but midway through, she felt a slight throbbing pain in her hand. She looked up to see Han Jingnian standing in the distance, staring at her hand with a frosty face.

Song Youman scoffed internally and pinched Xia Wan’an again before letting her go. "Okay, it’s really late now. You should go back and rest soon. I’m also tired. We’ll talk tomorrow."

Xia Wan’an nodded, hugged Song Youman again, and then reluctantly parted ways with her.

Han Jingnian, who almost rushed over to pull Xia Wan’an away from Song Youman, silently withdrew his foot that he had moved a small step forward.

Even though everyone had dispersed and the two videos of Xia Wan’an had been cleared, Song Youman was worried He Che might impact Xia Wan’an’s image in Han Jingnian’s heart. Before she left, she didn’t forget to call He Che with her: "Ah Che, let’s go."

He Che, who had also driven there, hesitated for a second after hearing this but eventually got into Song Youman’s car.

Without waiting for He Che to buckle his seatbelt, Song Youman stepped on the accelerator and zoomed out of Xia Wan’an and the others’ sight.

Because late at night, the streets were fairly clear, Song Youman drove at high speed and only slowed down as she reached her residential area.

The car had barely stopped when Song Youman turned around, grabbed the collar of He Che’s sophisticated-looking face, and pulled his face to hers: "No matter what feelings you harbor for An’an, there’s something I must tell you. An’an is married now. If you truly care for her, avoid causing any unnecessary trouble for her!"

Trouble?

Hearing these two words, He Che, whose collar was being grabbed by Song Youman, lowered his head and chuckled softly: "I met her when she was very young. Since then, I’ve been there for her, always doing what she asked. When have I ever caused trouble for her?"

He Che’s voice was so soft that Song Youman didn’t hear a single word. She tightened her grip on his collar a bit more, her tone even more aggressive when she spoke again: "What are you mumbling about? Did you understand what I said?"

He Che suppressed a jump in his eye corner but chose not to argue with Song Youman. He just nodded his head and said, "Got it."

Only then did Song Youman let go of He Che, signaling him to get out of the car and scram.

He Che, finding Song Youman’s fiery manner amusing, said nothing and got out of the car as she had indicated.

Just as He Che was standing steady, Song Youman turned the steering wheel and drove into the residential area.

When she parked the car, she remembered the question Xia Wan’an had asked her: Do you know how foolish you were tonight?

Foolish?

She didn’t want to be this foolish. But the child in her belly, that goof didn’t want to acknowledge. Either way, she was bound to get hurt. If she was going to get hurt, why not let all the hurt fall onto her alone, so as to protect An’an?!
