He fished around in the dirty clothes bin for a while, and pulled out a mobile phone. He came back and presented it to Xia Wan’an, "The phone is here."

After receiving the phone, Xia Wan’an visibly relaxed. She tapped the screen and a wave of stress rolled over her when she saw the lock screen.

Seeing this, Han Jingnian timely said, "The password is 886611."

Xia Wan’an shot Han Jingnian a surprised look.

Feeling her gaze, Han Jingnian explained, "When I picked up his phone, I randomly pressed a few buttons and reset the password for him."

Xia Wan’an did not say anything, but she lowered her head and entered the password as he had said. The moment the screen unlocked, Han Jingnian quickly said, "I haven’t looked at anything inside."

As far as she’s concerned, the photos in this phone are her most embarrassing and humiliating secrets, which she doesn’t want anyone to know about. Hence, after he changed the password, he put the phone away without even opening the gallery.

Xia Wan’an was holding the phone, her fingertips trembling slightly. A surge of indescribable feeling swept over her.

Such a horrifying sight, not to mention others, even she herself did not want to see. Of course, she would not let Han Jingnian see her most cowardly and most humiliated scene...

"Can we now drink the milk and go to sleep?"

Upon hearing Han Jingnian’s voice, Xia Wan’an nodded lightly, accepting the milk he handed over. Holding it with both hands, she slowly took small sips.

After finishing the milk, Xia Wan’an climbed into bed. She lay on the soft mattress but find it difficult to sleep. Every time she closed her eyes, she uncontrollably envisioned that man tearing at her clothes.

In a short ten minutes, she closed and opened her eyes five times.

Han Jingnian stayed by her bed, he saw her doing this, gently raised his hand, and stroked her hair, "I’m right here, it’s okay, go to sleep."

Xia Wan’an closed her eyes again. This time, it took her a bit longer than before but, after about seven or eight minutes, she opened her eyes again.

Han Jingnian lay down beside her, pulled her into his arms and after settling her comfortably, asked in a soft voice, "What about now? Are you still scared?"

Xia Wan’an didn’t respond, she just stayed in his arms not making a single move.

The room was very quiet. After a while, Han Jingnian seeing the girl in his arms showing no reaction thought she finally fell asleep. Just when he was about to breath a sigh of relief, he noticed her body shake slightly, followed by soft sobs escaping from her.
