Du Lijian sighed, "The thoughts of a young lady from a prominent family are truly inscrutable. She might be using this chance to break up with Qian Haoming."

Dong Qikang shook his head, "Who knows? We needn’t concern ourselves with that."

Du Lijian continued, "Brother Dong, if she doesn’t save Qian Haoming, she surely won’t save our sons either. What do we do then? We can’t just stand by and watch our sons go to jail. If they really end up imprisoned, their lives would be ruined."

They could see that Annie entered the restaurant and took a seat by the window.

"She’s here to eat. Let’s see if she’s dining with a man," Dong Qikang couldn’t help saying as he saw Annie walk into the restaurant.

Not long after, a young man got out of a car.

"Shen Dong? What’s he doing here?" Du Lijian asked, full of confusion, as he recognized the newcomer.

Dong Qikang stared intently at Shen Dong, his eyes flickering. He didn’t speak, leaving it uncertain what he was thinking.
