Chapter 771: Honor rolls

Silas had a few visitors during his arrest, and Axel was the last one. In contrast, Primo never had any visitors, anticipating that some of his men would attempt a rescue, but to no avail. Primo came to terms with the fact that his people had abandoned him. Most of them were borrowed, and those loyal to him were likely dead or in hiding. The chaotic Joker, in all likelihood, had hunted them down one by one. Without Primo at the helm, it would have been easy for Joker to execute such a sinister plan.

As Primo headed to the visitation lounge, a big question loomed over his head, and it vanished when he saw the person waiting for him.

"Miss Liu! How nice to see you after all this time!" Primo settled onto the couch, eyeing the feast on the coffee table. His grin widened as he surveyed the room. "You know you’re special when those damn officers take you to a private room to receive a visitor instead of taking me to the booth."

He turned his gaze to Heaven, grinning. "Silas will die of envy if I say you brought real food. Can I eat my lunch?"

Heaven remained silent, glancing at the nearby officer. "Uncuff him. Don’t worry," she reassured, turning her attention back to Primo. "He won’t do anything."

The officer hesitated but eventually complied, uncuffing Primo. As he stepped back, Heaven waved dismissively.

"I want to talk to him privately," she said.

"But Madam—"

"It’s fine." She shot the officer a side-eye. "My husband will not hold you accountable if something happens."

"Hehe." Primo chuckled, teasing the officer. "Miss Liu will beat me up before I can do anything, so don’t worry. She scares the hell out of me that I don’t even consider rubbing her the wrong way. Now, shoo."

"Hah," a soft laugh escaped her lips and cast the officer another look. The officer still hesitated, but left after a moment, leaving them alone in the private visitation room.

"Gee." Primo clicked his tongue and shook his head. "That damn rascal. Does he think he’ll get promoted if he curries favor like that?"

"He will if he hones his sweet-talking." Heaven shrugged, earning a look from Primo.

Primo smiled, showing no fear or curiosity at her presence. "Whatever you want to say, hold the thought. I am starving, and according to the Bible, my body is my temple. I have to take care of it. Meaning, I need to eat."

"Sure." Heaven nodded, and his grin broadened.

Primo excitedly rubbed his hands together, scanning the dishes on the table. As he began picking small portions of everything, Heaven spoke.

"Do you want to get out of here?" she asked, prompting a series of coughs from him. Primo almost choked on his food, reaching for a glass of water to clear his airways.

"Ahem!" Primo panted. "What did you say? Are you asking me if I want to leave this place?"

"Yes."

"Hell yeah!" Primo clapped and pointed at her. "Who wants to stay in this place? There was nothing else to do. The food was pure garbage, and everything smelled bad! Not to mention, my roomie is a wimp who cries himself to sleep."

Primo paused, facing her squarely. "Miss Liu, what’s the catch? Do you want me to behead Silas? I’ll give you his head in a bit."

Heaven didn’t answer immediately, studying the enthusiasm on his face. The man’s eyes burned with eagerness, displaying his desperation to get out of prison at any cost. Being locked in prison was more hellish than death for Primo, given his love for freedom. Even so, that was why they chose to imprison him instead of killing him.

"I don’t care about Silas anymore, No One. If I wanted him dead, he would’ve died a long time ago," she explained calmly, tapping her fingers on the armrest. "I want something else from you."

"What? Tell me," he urged. "I’d give you anything —"

"Your life," she answered and his eagerness faded. "Someone pissed me off."

"Someone pissed you off and you want to torture me to release your anger?" Primo almost tossed the food away as he considered it as his last meal before his execution. But before he could do anything, Heaven clarified.

"Dragon," she said. "He’s the one who pissed me off."

Primo ran his tongue across his inner cheek as he thought about it. "Eh. Miss Liu, what the hell? You’re enemies with that sick bastard?"

"Does he scare you?" she asked curiously, tilting her head to the side. "That’s fair. That man is truly scary. In terms of evilness, he is at the top of the devil’s class. Don’t worry, you’re on the honor roll."

"Hah... you know, and yet, you want me to cross him?" Primo let out a short series of awkward laughter, assuming that was her agenda. "Ma’am, are you out of your mind? It seems you already have an idea of who you might cross, and yet you don’t plan to back down?"

"He crossed me first, No One," she emphasized in a calm voice. "However, I can’t simply jump into the pits of hell without thinking. That’s why I am here."

"You want me to do your dirty work?"

"Don’t you want to leave this place?" she arched a brow. "No One, have you ever asked yourself why none of your men visited you or attempted to take you out of here?"

The side of her mouth curled up into a sinister smirk. "That is because Dragon killed all of them."

"What?"

"He crossed me, and yet you crossed him by running your mouth nonsensically," Heaven explained, giving him a vague idea of what happened outside after he got arrested. "Do you think you are safe inside that cell? If he remembers your existence, he will kill you mercilessly."

She paused for a moment before she added;

"Dragon is Dragon for a reason. He’ll burn you the same way he burned all your people alive."
