Chapter 202: [Bonus Chapter]Then you better fvcking don’t!

Axel hissed at the impact, wincing as he was still healing from the beating a week ago. Thus, the impact hurt him more than it should’ve done. However, Axel swallowed down the pain he felt as he shifted gears, picking up his speed so those guys would stop bumping into their car.

"Damn it!" he ground his teeth, stepping on the pedal harder.

His eyes were glinting, and his heart was skipping beats, making him pant for air. Axel knew what would happen if they stopped, and he wouldn’t let that happen. However, the car he was driving was not something he would usually drive.

The engine was good because he did a last check, but it wasn’t good enough. The thing was, street racing wasn’t just about the speed. Its driver needs to drive the car they were attached to like they were an extended part of themselves. This was the first time Axel was driving this car, and he was still adjusting.

It wasn’t as easy as one would think it was.

VROOM!

When Axel shifted gears again, there was an abrupt pull, but he endured the pain in his chest. He narrowed his eyes upon seeing the turn, preparing to make a drift.

"Sis..." he whispered without taking his eyes off the road.

"It’s okay." Heaven drew a deep breath as she kept her eyes ahead. She held on to the handle tightly, preparing for the force they would face once they took that turn. "Go."

On the side of the curve road were other people watching the race. They were cheering, hollering, and whistling at the incoming cars from the distance.

Vrooom!

Thick smoke ascended into the air as the vehicles’ tires screeched, drifting at the turn. The cheers grew louder as the first car successfully made it to the turn, cheering even louder when the second one, third one, and then the rest drifted past the turn.

While the audience was simply exhilarated at the fierce race, those people who were part of it weren’t much. At least not Axel. Despite performing a beautiful and smooth drift, Axel couldn’t sigh in relief. If anything, he immediately glanced at the rear mirror.

"Fuck!" he cursed out loud, clenching the steering wheel tighter. Those guys were still hot on his tail, and this made him even more frustrated.

"Focus, Axel." He heard Heaven’s calm voice, but he didn’t have the luxury of looking at her. "If you want to win, then go ahead and do your best. But if you can’t, don’t blame yourself. That’s okay. I’m proud of you either way."

Heaven blinked ever so tenderly, glancing at the side mirror. Those guys were catching up with them.

"I have a more important business right now," she whispered quietly, but Axel still heard her loud and clear. "And that is fighting for my brother’s honor."

CRASHHH!!

Axel didn’t have time to process her words as his eyes shook, glancing at the side mirror to see the other car scratching at his side. He flinched when another car scratched the other side, sandwiching him.

’Shit!’ He could see sparks flying as the cars’ sides scratched, while the two vehicles moved forward until their windows matched Axel’s.

"Hahaha!" the windows from the left car wound down, revealing a man smirking at Heaven’s side. The windows on the other one also rolled down, and the lady in the passenger seat spat out at Axel’s window.

"Wahaha!" the lady stuck her tongue out, raising her middle finger.

’Shit, shit, shit!’Axel panicked, speeding up, but to no avail.

The cars on either side of him would also speed up, sandwiching him, and deterring him from going anywhere. If anything, the two cars were moving him off the tracks.

’I can’t.’ Axel’s breathing grew ragged as his lips turned pale. He could feel his shoulders tense up as his brain slowly went blank. He was losing control of his vehicle, aware that the only thing he could do was to maintain his speed. The two cars beside him were driving him off the track, and he had no way out.

’I can’t, I can’t. I’m sorry — I’

"Keep them close." His breath hitched when Heaven spoke. Axel couldn’t help but risk a few seconds of their lives just to look at her.

Unlike him, Heaven was... calm.

She was looking at him as if she hadn’t understood the situation they were in. Or rather, she understood the situation, but it didn’t scare her even the slightest.

"Did you hear me?" she asked, looking at him straight in the eye. "Keep them close and keep your eyes on the road."

"Uh!" Axel set his eyes ahead while his entire body was trembling. His grip on the steering wheel went tighter until his hands turned white. "Yeah. I heard you. What again? Keep them close, right?"

"Mhm." Heaven rocked her head. "Whatever happens, keep them close and eyes on the road."

"Uh..." Axel cast her a side-eye, only to see her manually rolling down the car window crack. "... sis? What are you...?"

The sound of the man’s laughter instantly pierced through the gap in the window as she rolled it down. When the window was fully down, Heaven unbuckled her seat and turned her head to the person driving the other car.

"Yo, gurl!" the driver grinned at Heaven, resting his hand on the opened window of his car. "I’m sorry for the inconvenience, but you see, I think there’s something wrong with my car. I can’t seem to move away!"

Heaven smirked. "Then you better fucking don’t!" she unhesitatingly moved her body out of the window, stretching her hands to the man.

"Sis!" Axel’s breath hitched when half of her body was out of the window. "What are you —"

Before Axel could ask, he felt that the pressure from the other car was getting lifted. However, that was the car where half of her body was in!

"Shit!" Axel, despite not knowing what Heaven was doing with the other driver, turned the steering wheel to maintain their proximity.

Little did he know, Heaven had just slammed the driver’s head against the steering wheel.
