Chapter 190: Stress!

"Ahh!"

"Ahh!"

"Ahhh!!!"

Axel and Heaven screamed one after another, horrified at each other. Their scream lasted for about several seconds, and each time, their scream was louder.

"Ahh — ack!" Axel almost bit his tongue when a smack landed on his head. "Ouch! What the hell!?"

He glared at the person, who smacked him, only for his gaze to land on Heaven. "Why would you do that?!"

"Why do you keep screaming? Gosh. That scared me!" Heaven clutched her hand to her chest. "Are you out of your mind? Do you know how scary wide your mouth was?"

Axel gasped. "Do you know how scary you look!? Didn’t you say you’re going to film something?! You didn’t say your role is a ghost!?"

"A ghost?! Hah!" Heaven scoffed, but before she could continue her argument, her eyes veered to Dominic and then her eyes fell down on Sebastian. Sebastian was covering his ear, looking at her with puzzlement.

’Shit.’ Heaven bit her lip, looking at Sebastian and Dominic apologetically. "Hello there~ Sorry. I didn’t update you."

"Tsk." Axel clicked his tongue in irritation, shivering as he watch her form a puppy look. "My god. Please have some shame. Do you think you can force pity on anyone with that look on your face?"

"What?" Heaven frowned, flinching when Axel suddenly pulled up his phone. She drew her head back on instinct, only for her eyes to widen as the front camera was on. Her mouth slowly fell open while Axel nodded.

"See?!" Axel retrieved his phone, glaring at her. "Now tell me, who wouldn’t be scared if someone see you? In the elevator at that?! Fortunately, I wasn’t alone, and it’s not 3 AM, or else I would’ve exorcist you."

"Oh, no!" Heaven covered her face out of shame, looking down.

Just now, Heaven was so confident she could seduce Dominic in one look. However, how could she seduce him if she looked like an evil spirit straight from the horror movie?

’Ah... goodness! Why didn’t Bear tell me?!’ she clenched her teeth, blaming Bear for this embarrassment.

As she cursed Bear in her heart, the man couldn’t help but sneeze while checking the car. Although he felt like someone was cursing him, he ignored it and continued with what he was doing.

"What are you doing?" After a moment, Dominic’s cool voice caressed her ears. Out of instinct, Dominic raised his hand to the elevator door to stop it from closing. "Won’t you step out?"

"No." Heaven took little steps to the corner, turning around to hide her face. "I forgot something. Go on without me. I’ll be right back."

Dominic and Sebastian tilted their heads to the side, blinking, eyes on Heaven’s back. Meanwhile, Axel’s face couldn’t help but twitch.

What the hell?

"What did you forget? I’ll ask Mr. Cruel to get it on his way back," said Dominic, still keeping his hand on the door.

Heaven winced. Of course, she didn’t forget anything! That was just an excuse for her to wash her face in the building’s restroom! Couldn’t they tell? She wasn’t showing her face?!

"My ghad..." Axel scrunched his nose up in dismay. "Oy. You don’t own this elevator. Why don’t you step out now, huh?"

"Later!" Heaven sighed. "Just... just let me go, alright? I’ll just wash my face in the restroom a level below. It won’t take long!"

Dominic furrowed his brows, as that didn’t make any sense to him. Why would she need to go to the washroom a level below the penthouse when she was already a few steps from their place? Dominic glanced at Axel, who was still looking at Heaven irritably, and then at Sebastian.

Sebastian had this same puzzled expression. The father and son duo talked with their eyes, wondering about her reasoning.

"Please!" Heaven yelled once again. "I don’t want to go there looking like this. Just delete this memory — except you, Axel — from your mind."

"What — wow... I’m speechless." Axel scoffed in utter disbelief. Not only her request to erase this memory was incredibly ridiculous, but she wanted him to remember the horror he experienced just now!

Wow.

"Ah." Dominic rocked his head in understanding. He cast Sebastian a look, and the latter nodded in understanding.

Without saying a word, Dominic walked past Axel, entering the elevator quietly. He immediately pressed a random number as he turned around, seeing Sebastian hold his uncle’s hand.

When Heaven heard the elevator door close and moved down, she heaved a sigh of relief.

"Goodness," she muttered with a deep frown, patting her chest in relief. "Why did they have to see me like that?"

Heaven sulked in the corner, thinking about her husband and son’s opinion. Heaven might have not put too much effort into her makeup, but she took extra care of her skin. She didn’t want to present herself, especially in front of Dominic, with a bad image of her.

Why?

Because of the competition! They might’ve been married, but that didn’t mean she have to be complacent. As a wife, not only she had duties to take care of him, but she also had to make sure he got the best of the best out there!

Showing she could be ugly was never part of her plan. The scheme was that each time Dominic thought of her, all he should think of was how lucky he was and how beautiful his wife was. It would be foolish to look at other women!

Strange... because Heaven had never had such thoughts before. But somehow, as the days goes by, her desire to look good and impress her husband grew. Going into the set today and seeing that the entertainment circle never had a shortage of good-looking people made this desire burn.

"Stress!" Heaven sighed once again, knocking at her temple slightly. "What if he got scared just like Axel, too? No. What if this memory will cross his mind while we’re doing it?"

Her face paled in horror, imagining the ridiculous scenario in her mind. Little did she know, Dominic was just standing idly in the corner, arms folded under his chest, smiling in amusement.

DING!

"Ah, god. I should get rid of this makeup — ah!" Heaven gasped in horror as she turned around, only to see Dominic inside the lift with an amused grin plastered on his face.
