The weekend rolled in without conditions. Because of what happened in the learning center, Dominic decided to not attend the Zhu Family gathering. He couldn’t bring his son to the family gathering with all that bruise on Sebastian’s face.

Bringing him to the family gathering would only make things worse. Not only Grandma Zhu, but his parents would take action against the other party. Dominic didn’t want to make the problem a lot bigger with them jumping into the picture.

Therefore, the family of three spent the weekend in the mansion. Heaven tended to Sebastian’s bruises, spending every minute of the weekend by his side. Meanwhile, Dominic also never left his wife and son unless he needed to make quick phone calls.

They were currently by the pool with Heaven sitting on the edge of the lounge chair, facing him. She had her hands on either side of her, wearing this curious look on her face.

"Basti, does having a bodyguard bother you?" she inquired, discreetly sliding her eyes to the corner to see where their new bodyguard stood.

It has only been a day since Bear started working as Heaven and Basti’s bodyguard. Dominic wanted to hire one for each of them, but she negotiated. With Bear’s qualifications, Dominic agreed to keep one around and the rest in the headquarters.

"Hmm." Sebastian glanced at where Bear stood. The latter was standing from the distance, enough to give him and Heaven some privacy. "Does his presence bother you?"

"Not really." She lied, shaking her head. "I’m just thinking about your thoughts about it."

"It’s fine." Sebastian snapped his eyes back to Heaven. "Father already told me about my punishment beforehand, so I already knew he would be hiring a bodyguard to watch my every movement. I understand his paranoia."

Her face twitched slightly while trying to maintain her smile. Heaven was so sure Sebastian would find this new setup uncomfortable, but he was taking it much better than she thought. In fact, Sebastian didn’t seem to care.

’Why am I surprised?’ she wondered. ’All my son’s life, he was being watched by many people. For him, another pair of eyes was just an addition to the countless servants in the mansion.’

Heaven mentally rocked her head in understanding. ’Well, I should do the same.’ she slowly shifted her eyes in Bear’s direction.

’If he sees me as a pampered wife of Dominic Zhu, he would eventually lower his guard. Maybe he’s not a threat I thought he was.’ Heaven convinced herself to treat Bear’s presence as just another servant’s presence. After all, the servants in this mansion were quite a lot, but their numbers didn’t deter her from enjoying her life with her husband and son.

Little did she know, Sebastian had the same thought. The little master of the house glanced in Bear’s direction.

’If I behaved for a while, he will eventually lower his guard,’thought Sebastian, peeling his eyes from Bear’s figure back to the book he was reading. ’Not a threat.’

With that being said, another moment of silence befell the mother and son. Sebastian continued to read the book he had been reading since a few days ago while Heaven reclined on the lounge chair. It was a lazy Sunday afternoon; the last day of Sebastian’s vacation break.

"By the way, Mommy will be working," she broke the silence, head turned to the other lounge chair beside her. "I got a minor role in the movie my friend will be working in. I didn’t think I told you about it."

Sebastian looked back at her once again, blinking. "Congratulations."

"Are you okay with that?"

"Yes. Why?"

"Well." Heaven shrugged. "You might think it will affect our special time together."

"My mother loves acting. I’m happy if going back to work will make you happy."

It wouldn’t!

At this moment, Heaven just wanted to live this life as a luxurious wife. Working was not a problem for her, but she didn’t feel the need to do something else other than enjoy this life with Sebastian and Dominic.

"Hehe. My baby is the sweetest for sure~!" Still, Sebastian’s thoughtfulness made her happy. "Don’t worry. It was just a minor role, so they will only need me in the set for a short while. I just thought I should do something while you were in school and Daddy is at work."

Sebastian rocked his head in understanding. "This friend you were talking about... is it, Ms. Shen?"

"Yes." Heaven smiled before her brows rose, seeing the slight glint in Sebastian’s eyes. "Why? Basti?"

"Nothing." Sebastian shook his head. "Good luck and have fun."

’So, he also doesn’t like Paula, huh?’ Heaven kept her eyes fixed on her adorable son, pleased at how her husband and son kept Paula around for her sake.

Although the original Heaven hadn’t thought about it, the current one knew Paula’s antics. Paula Shen took advantage of her access to the mansion, acting like she suited Heaven’s role more. It wouldn’t be surprising if Sebastian had some sort of attachment to the woman. Fortunately, Sebastian didn’t seem to like her, just like how Dominic disapproved of her.

’Now, I don’t need to hesitate.’ Her smile stretched broader as she relaxed, pulling down the shades from her head to cover her eyes. ’I can’t wait to see her face once she sees me on the set.’

It was true Heaven hadn’t thought of getting a career that would spark the sense of passion in her heart. However, to torment Paula and get that woman off of her high horse, she had to go back to acting temporarily.

’How nice.’Heaven closed her eyes for a moment before her smile lines faded. "By the way..."

She turned her head to Sebastian, feeling a little embarrassed for bothering him over and over. "That night when your daddy and I were on the roof deck, who was the maid who told you we were there?"

Sebastian slowly looked back at his mother, unable to see the deep curiosity in his mother’s eyes because of her shades. His brows rose, thinking about the question she was asking
