Chapter 104: [Bonus Chapter]Touch my son and you’re dead

"Take care, okay? Don’t let that kid bully you again — tell me if he did, I’ll put him in his place..."

Heaven’s steps halted, hearing all the red alarms in her head. She turned her head in the voice’s direction. There, not far away from her vantage point, was a woman and a boy around Sebastian’s age. She narrowed her eyes as she studied the woman’s side profile.

’Ah... right.’ Heaven rocked her head, recognizing who the woman was.

She was that woman who slapped her in the bakeshop. The witch needed to be put in her place instead.

How could Heaven forget about her?

That woman was the first woman who was ever to get to touch her and was able to leave with her hand intact. People like that woman made Heaven recall how evil she could be, but she was a changed woman now.

A new leaf.

Violence was not the only way to resolve things. Although she still believed it was the easiest. It was just not recommendable in this new life.

’It seemed she still hadn’t learned her lesson,’ Heaven thought, arching a brow and folding her arms as she watched the woman send her son to the learning center.

Just like how Heaven sent her son, the woman waved with a loving smile. How touching. That woman seemed she genuinely treasured her son, yet heartless to another mother’s child.

When the woman turned to leave, she noticed a figure from the corner of her eyes. She turned to look who it was, and her pupils instantly dilated as soon as her eyes fell on Heaven.

"Hello." Heaven waved nonchalantly, smiling. "We met again."

[May this be our last meeting because the next time I see you, I’ll make you cry and teach you what a real bully is.]

The woman’s entire body froze as Heaven’s previous remarks rewound in her head. Of course, she wouldn’t forget this psycho. Until now, the woman hadn’t forgotten how Heaven humiliated her in the bakeshop, leading to her ban from the establishment.

It was pure humiliation.

Fortunately, what happened that day only ended in her getting banned from the establishment and didn’t turn into an enormous scandal. Even so, this woman held a grudge.

"What are you..." the woman’s eyes lit up with rage, storming to Heaven and stopping in front of her. "Are you stalking me?! What are you doing here?"

Heaven’s brows rose as she leaned back, creating a distance between her and the woman. The latter was seriously furious, but not as mindless as she was back in the bakeshop. At least she wasn’t creating a scene.

"First things first, I am not stalking you," Heaven corrected, tilting her head to the side. "Our meeting here is purely a coincidence."

As if!

The woman looked around while grinding her teeth. There were a lot of people here. Most children who come to this learning center come from well-off families. She learned her lesson last time and wouldn’t humiliate herself by losing her cool.

The woman huffed and took a step back. Her displeasure still dominated her face, glaring at Heaven from head to toe.

Heaven was just wearing simple baggy pants paired with a crop top shirt. Her hair was clamped into a low bun and although she had make-up on, it was too light, as if she wasn’t wearing one. Even so, Heaven’s facial features made it up for the lack of makeup.

’Such a pretty face...’the woman hissed. ’... surely, one cannot judge a book by its covers. This woman is crazy!’

"I don’t believe you." The woman huffed, folding her arms under her chest while lifting her chin. "Did you forget your threats last time? There’s no way you’d be in this place if you’re not stalking me."

"Well –"

"How much?" Heaven furrowed her brows as the woman cut her off even before she could spew a load of nonsense. "How much do you want for you to leave me alone?"

’Wow... so paranoid.’Heaven blinked, assessing the woman’s resolve. ’Maybe I still had it in me.’

Heaven didn’t think much about her encounter with this woman, since it wasn’t worth her energy. However, seeing that this woman was so in a rush to get rid of her made her believe the spirit of Hera hadn’t left her entirely.

Well, the face and body only change, but her soul was still that fearsome Hera. Hence, the explanation of why the air around her felt different.

"You don’t want to hear how much." Heaven shook her head, smacking her lips, as she didn’t have much energy to spare for this woman. "You can’t afford it."

"Hah!" the woman sneered. "Do you think so little of me? Just tell me how much you are worth, so you stop bothering me!"

"When did I bother you?"

"In my sleep!"

"..." — well that was unexpected.

The woman huffed as her face turned red, repressing the building-up anger and anxiety in her heart. "How much?"

Heaven sighed as she massaged her temple for a moment. "Well, Madam, it’s not like that," she explained, even though she knew she didn’t owe this woman one.

"Our meeting today is purely coincidental — believe me or not, it is," she continued, snapping her eyes ever so tenderly at the woman. "Even if it’s not, my price is something you might not afford. I’m saying this not because I think you don’t have money, but because if I do want something from you, that’ll be your life."

The woman’s breath hitched, wide-eyed.

"On a second note, I think I do need something from you." Heaven pounded the bottom of her fist against her palm. "Discipline your son so you don’t get in trouble. He’s young and needs proper guidance. It’s better if you become his teacher in life; don’t wait for life to teach your son a lesson. Life has a painful method of giving us enlightenment."

Heaven took a step forward, making the woman instinctively step back. "I heard how you sent your son off. It’s impressive. However, you’re a mother. So, you should understand that all the kids in here have mothers who would go to war for them."

"Don’t make him incite war and send you to your demise." She leaned her face closer, sporting a short yet chilling smile. "Take my advice before it’s too late."

"You’re safe today." Heaven patted the woman’s shoulder, replacing her sinister smile with a brighter one. "I think we’ll see each other more often since our sons go to the same learning center. Be good."

With that being said, Heaven walked past the woman and went inside her ride. The latter was left frozen on her spot, unable to even look back at Heaven.

That was a warning from one mother to another.

[Touch my son and you’re dead.] was what Heaven was saying in a roundabout way.
