Chapter 44: 【041】Martial Arts
"A trained fighter!"
The three burly men who followed up the stairs to the second floor witnessed their companion being knocked back by a single punch from Wang Longhu, and all showed expressions of surprise.
Whether it’s External Boxing or Internal Boxing, to be able to knock someone back with a single punch indicates that the period of training in martial arts has not been short, certainly not just some lousy, inexperienced person.
"It’s the explosive power of the Cannon Fist of Xingyi Boxing. This kid looks so young, yet he has honed Internal Boxing to such a level."
"Make haste, attack together, even if he started practicing martial arts in the womb, he can’t overturn the heavens."
These four burly men were obviously not ordinary, they immediately recognized Wang Longhu’s fighting style, and even after Wang Longhu demonstrated his strength, they were not panicked and quickly made their response.
Wang Longhu felt overwhelmingly excited in his heart. Given how confidently the other side spoke, they must all be trained fighters too.
Since he started learning Xingyi Boxing from Master Chen, he had never actually fought anyone else. Even though he could break wood with a single punch, he couldn’t precisely gauge his own strength, but today was a perfect opportunity.
One burly man stepped forward immediately, and this was also the first time Wang Longhu was engaging someone in combat. He sank his strength into his stance and took a half-step forward, instantly unleashing the Beng Fist he had practiced the longest.
The power of this punch needed no words, and even if it hit a wooden stake as thick as a thigh, it would break on the spot.
As the burly man saw Wang Longhu’s fist only half an arm distance from his chest, he suddenly extended both his arms horizontally, pushing open Wang Longhu’s arms, and then curved his right arm inward, striking with his elbow. It hit Wang Longhu’s shoulder, forcing him to retreat three or four steps.
"Hmm?" Wang Longhu, clutching his shoulder, was somewhat surprised.
This move from the opponent took him by surprise. Although he had practiced martial arts for less than a month, Wang Longhu had supplemented his training under the guidance of the big monk, and he was relatively knowledgeable.
This move by the opponent seemed somewhat similar to the Liangyi Peak from Baji Fist.
So it turns out this group of people is no ordinary bunch; they are also trained fighters.
"Hmm?!" The burly man was also greatly shocked.
The elbow is the hardest, sharpest striking point on a human’s body. Even an experienced boxer would be floored by this elbow strike.
Yet, this delicate-looking young man merely staggered backward a few steps without even wobbling. Such astonishing physical resilience!
Wang Longhu took a single step forward, unleashing a double punch with the momentum of a Beng strike, gathering his energy and force, aligning mind with intention.
His entire vitality concentrated on his arms, elbows tucked by his ribs, resembling a gallant horse lifting its hooves, charging boldly at the burly man with a punch.
"Track the force and take a kick, a determined steed courageously attacks, launch the punch drilling the fist like lifting a cauldron, protect both cheeks and strike downward."
This yin-over-yang strike is exactly the Horse Form Boxing from Xingyi’s Twelve Forms Fist. Wang Longhu, who had already integrated the Five Elements Fist and the Twelve Forms, even incorporated the Beng Fist’s explosive power, barely calling it Horse Form Beng Power.
As soon as the double fist was thrown, a crisp explosion sounded instantly, implying a force of over eight hundred kilos.
"Ming Jin!!!"
Upon hearing the sound as Wang Longhu’s punch exploded, the burly man’s face changed drastically, not daring to meet Wang Longhu’s fists head-on.
These fists, even if hitting an iron plate, could make dual fist impressions on its surface. If it struck a human body, the result would either be broken bones or internal organ damage, leaving one barely alive.
The burly man swiftly leapt up, grabbing the ceiling light fixture, spreading his legs in a split to dodge Wang Longhu’s direct attack, and then released his hold, knees clamping together, crashing toward Wang Longhu in a kneeling motion.
The toughness of the human body chiefly lies in the elbows and knees. With these two parts delivering strikes, they are much favored by combat systems worldwide, with Muay Thai being one renowned representative.
Being hit by a trained fighter with their knees from above would almost certainly result in serious injury or worse. Generally, unless in a life-and-death duel, no one would use such a move recklessly.
But the burly man had no other choices; as a trained fighter, he understood better than anyone what Ming Jin represented.
A Ming Jin expert can deliver over six hundred kilos with a light punch and reach up to a thousand kilos with full force. Engaging such a person without going all out would only lead oneself into misfortune.
Yet, these burly men never expected that Zheng Dongliang would have a Ming Jin expert by his side.
With a serious expression, Wang Longhu’s mind raced, aware that though Ming Jin was strong, it wasn’t invincible.
Even Huajin wasn’t unbeatable—faced with firearms, they would still succumb to a single bullet.
Although he had developed Ming Jin, his experience in direct combat was nearly zero. Martial Artists emphasize adaptability and myriad transformations during battles.
It’s certainly not about mastering a few routines to achieve universal success with a single technique.
If the burly man in front of him couldn’t adapt during combat, he would have declared GG as soon as Wang Longhu threw his first punch.
"Rise!" Wang Longhu braced the burly man’s knees with his hands, suddenly sinking downwards, fortunately owing to his solid foundation, he managed to support the burly man’s weight. With a thrust, he unleashed his inner power.
In an instant, the entire burly man was thrown down by Wang Longhu, smashing a marble round table in the hall below.
In the Martial Artist’s encounter, the most taboo act is letting the body leave the ground, as it means losing any leverage for maneuvering or support, revealing vulnerabilities easily exploited by the enemy.
"What’s going on? Why are they fighting?"
"Quick, call the police; someone was thrown down from upstairs. Isn’t this going to result in someone’s death?"
Hearing the commotion, all the store staff rushed out to check. Some even started filming with their phones, with the scene of Wang Longhu throwing someone from the second floor being the most shocking.
Aside from movies, such violent scenes are rarely seen.
"You attack his left, I’ll go for the right. No matter what, we must take that kid away today."
The remaining two burly men capable of moving exchanged a glance and then quickly charged, each attacking Wang Longhu from his left and right sides.
The one on the left adopted a double-bow stance, his left palm moving downward while his right palm turned into a fist, swinging it at chest level like a hammer aiming to crush Wang Longhu.
This was Baji Fist’s "Pendulum Hammer," also known as the Kneeling Knee Strike.
The one on the right used his elbow as a fist, delivering a Baji Beng Elbow, all ruthless and fierce killer moves.
In a two-person siege, being hit once would lead to injury, even a Ming Jin expert could not afford to be careless.
At this moment, Wang Longhu’s entire motion seemed to enter a time-stopped zone; his movement was meticulous, each posture deliberate, each force elongated and slowed down.
He sank his strength into his waist, shoulders and back quivering like a towering old bear with slow movements.
Simultaneously, both palms shot out to the sides, his waist pivot steady and forceful, his palm wind clear and resonant.
Pah! Pah!
In the next moment, Wang Longhu’s palms collided with the fists and elbows of the two men.
Without any surprise, both men flew backward, clutching their arms, one smashing through the second-floor railing and falling down, while the other crashed into a nearby round table, toppling completely.
Wang Longhu looked at his palms, deep in thought. Just now, he used the Bear Form’s horizontal power,
Bear Form Boxing comprises the Bear Leaving the Cave and Bear Palm Strike stances, with techniques divided into the Void Fist and Fork Palm.
The footwork was exceedingly simple, stepping diagonally left with the left step, while the right foot closed in closely, the left hand forming a Fork Palm placed beside the left cheek, palm facing inward.
The right fist followed the step upward placed within the left palm, with the palm guarding the fist close to the left cheek, intending to strike the side enemy, blocking their hand and simultaneously striking the opponent’s neck or chest, constituting the enclosed posture.
Upon body expansion, the right foot stepped diagonally right in a triangular crosswind step. Meanwhile, the left palm turned into Void Fist, striking downward along a line to the right knee, twisting with the waist, the right hand pulled back to the right side of the Dantian, thus completing the stance.
And the Horizontal Fist is the last fist of the Five Elements Fist, considered the mother of all fists, vanquishing all fists.
The power and force are of elastic nature amidst abrupt strength, like beef tendons suddenly relaxing, possessing rolling and explosive inclinations, tough within soft, soft within tough, power elusive yet forceful.
The Xingyi Boxing dictum says, ’The Horizontal Fist thrust resembles an iron beam, hiding directness within horizontality. Repeated wrapping yields ideals, recline retreat horizontal power adopts toughness.’
Faced with attacks from both sides, Wang Longhu thought fast, selecting the Bear Form’s ’Side strike, big palm, attack as when surrounded, side walk side strike akin to side tapping’ and the ’vanquishing all fists’ of the Horizontal Fist to valiantly overcome the enemy.
This was undoubtedly the best counterattack option for the situation at the time.
