Chapter 39: Chapter 36: Also Cure His Body
It’s Monday again, and Song Shize strolled into Class 7’s classroom via the back door shortly after the flag-raising ceremony.
He slapped Red-haired hard on the back of his head, causing Red-haired to jump up in pain, shouting "Damn it," before turning around to see Song Shize.
The classroom silenced for a moment due to Red-haired’s loud cry, but when they saw it was Second Generation Son, they were not surprised. Soon, the messy sound of studying resumed.
Seeing Song Shize, Red-haired instantly became timid and chuckled, "Brother Ze, congrats on the great fortune."
Touching a sore spot, Song Shize’s expression darkened, he rolled his eyes and turned Red-haired’s face forward, "Focus on your studies."
Saying that, Song Shize grabbed a book, propped it on the desk, and laid down to sleep.
Red-haired’s real name is Ma Qingsheng. The school does not allow dyed hair; his hair had long returned to its normal color.
Ma Qingsheng’s seat was in front of Song Shize, their corner of the classroom was the infamous ’no-man’s-land.’ As long as they didn’t disturb the class discipline, the teacher didn’t bother looking at these spoiled rich kids at all.
Ma Qingsheng turned back and patted Song Shize’s desk, "No way, Brother Ze, you’re sleeping on the first day of school?"
Song Shize couldn’t be bothered to even open his eyes, "Beat it, don’t disturb your grandpa’s sleep."
Sure enough, he must have spent the last night playing games all night.
Ma Qingsheng turned back around and didn’t disturb him further; knowing well that Song Shize could have a really bad temper when he’s woken up or hadn’t had enough sleep.
Three rows away from Ma Qingsheng, Tan Xiaobing redirected her gaze from eavesdropping and sat upright.
Behind Tan Xiaobing, Su Chan Yi scoffed, purposely raising her voice as she spoke to her deskmate, "Xiaoping, did you hear? School bully Li Qingmo was looking all around yesterday for the person who posted rumors about Li Qingran on the school forum."
Sun Xiaoping, a girl with thick glasses resembling the bottom of a beer bottle, looked up from her book and after a moment of confusion, asked, "Why?"
Su Chan Yi not intentionally glancing forward before responding, and sure enough, Tan Xiaobing was all ears, so she continued without raising her voice this time,
"It’s said that Li Qingran is Li Qingmo’s sister."
"Ah?" Sun Xiaoping was surprised, mouth agape, "Then both siblings are doing really well in their studies."
Su Chan Yi paused, noting how Sun Xiaoping, being study-obsessed, knew all the top twenty students in the grade, and naturally her focus was different from others.
"Their grades are indeed good," Su Chan Yi diverted the topic, "It seems like Li Qingmo put Song Shize in the hospital too."
Tan Xiaobing visibly shuddered at the desk in front.
"Wow, the school bully is so fierce," Sun Xiaoping exclaimed sincerely.
"So," Su Chan Yi summed up, "Li Qingmo is investigating who’s spreading rumors about his sister behind their backs, and whoever gets caught by him is doomed."
Tan Xiaobing couldn’t hold back and turned around, she interjected, "Li Qingmo is too lawless, he fights outside school, won’t people let him off so easily?"
Su Chan Yi glanced at Tan Xiaobing indifferently; she could see the fear in her eyes, however deeply hidden.
Su Chan Yi crossed her arms and smiled,
"How good is Second Generation Son’s family background?"
Tan Xiaobing choked, swallowing her saliva.
"If even someone with a background like Second Generation Son doesn’t dare to openly oppose Li Qingmo, it indicates that Li Qingmo’s family background is certainly not simple. Moreover, if Li Qingmo is right, he has every reason to punch, and nobody would dare to make a fuss."
Tan Xiaobing muttered, turning her head back, "So? Just because someone has a powerful background, does that mean they can do whatever they want? How can they not expect others to comment? Really..."
Su Chan Yi expressionless, picked up her book, feeling satisfied inside.
After eavesdropping on the whole conversation, Ma Qingsheng turned back and patted Song Shize’s desk, "Brother Ze, the gossip queen and the bossy girl up front are talking about you again."
Opening his eyes a slit, Song Shize sounded lazy, "Oh, what did they say?"
Filled with righteous indignation, Ma Qingsheng said, "They said you got beaten up by Li Qingmo and ended up in the hospital."
Bullshit, it was clearly Xie Ying’an who did it.
"Let them talk," Song Shize couldn’t care less, turning over and went back to sleep.
Ma Qingsheng swallowed back the additional information ’they are also spreading rumors about Li Qingran clinging to you’ and thought to himself, let it be, if anyone’s face is lost here, it’s his Second Generation Son, none of his business.
—
Qingran was a bit baffled; just as she sat down early in the morning, several students from other classes had already come over to apologize to her.
The first one was a girl wearing a face mask, her eyes seemingly swollen from crying: "Qingran senior, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have followed others blindly and spread rumors about you on the school forum, I hope you can forgive me."
The second was a boy, not wearing a mask, because his right eye was badly bruised, and a mask definitely wouldn’t cover it, he bowed deeply at the entrance of Qingran’s classroom: "Li Qingran, I’m sorry for spreading rumors on the school forum, I know you are innocent, and I sincerely apologize, hoping to receive your forgiveness."
Then the third, the fourth... up to the twelfth, thirteenth.
All those people were beaten, and without exception, had definitely been handled.
The students of Class 1 were simply stunned.
After seeing off the thirteenth apologizing student, Qingran nudged her deskmate Xie Ying’an with her arm and lowered her voice, "Yesterday, you and my brother disappeared for a whole day just for this, huh?"
Definitely used a certain tone of voice.
Xie Ying’an did not quibble, "Thirteen? There are more coming."
No wonder he’s the male lead. Just listen to that tone, utterly rampant without boundaries.
Then, Qingran didn’t wait for another student to come and apologize, instead, the homeroom teacher Old Wu arrived, habitually patting the lectern.
"Classmates, in a moment, hand your chemistry tests to the class representative in order."
Below, there were cries of dismay, obviously, some people hadn’t done it.
Seeing this, Old Wu’s face darkened, "Those who haven’t done it, copy the chemistry test ten times and hand it in."
This time, there were no more mournful complaints because everyone in the class knew that complaining further would only lead to Old Wu raising the stakes.
Xie Ying’an’s face also didn’t look good, as Qingran watched him desperately trying to complete two half-finished chemistry test papers.
He looked at Qingran: "I’ll borrow your test paper."
It seemed like he planned to copy.
Qingran stifled a laugh and pushed her completed test paper his way.
The class representative had already stood up to start collecting test papers from the first row.
Old Wu, standing at the lectern, watched over, and the students who hadn’t done it immediately started writing frantically.
Old Wu scanned the classroom and snorted coldly: "Idling earlier, scratching your butt last minute."
The phrase was crude but the reasoning was solid.
The class representative, noticing that Academic Master Xie was hastily copying, blatantly overlooked his group and moved on to collect from another side.
Qingran: ...
Damn, is that even allowed?
Until school was dismissed, a total of twenty-two classmates came to apologize to Qingran; some felt guilty, some were expressionless, some cried, but Qingran accepted all their apologies without exception.
However, her expression remained indifferent throughout, neither happy nor unhappy.
They indulged in temporary verbal pleasure, but as a result, made the person involved endure unbearable rumors and gossip.
If she were more fragile-hearted or hadn’t been pushed by her brother and Xie Ying’an, they might have forgotten about this matter after a while. But what about her?
She wouldn’t forget so quickly, even this ’small matter’ might be remembered for a lifetime...
As the classroom emptied out with students leaving in twos and threes, Xie Ying’an was still sitting at his desk motionless.
When Qingran packed up the books to take home and stood up, she asked him, "Aren’t you leaving?"
Xie Ying’an shook his head, "You go ahead, I still have things to do."
"Oh." Only then did Qingran remember, Xie Ying’an had to stay at school for an hour.
Looking forward, indeed Wen Shiyi hadn’t left either.
Ruan Ruan, at the classroom door, waved to Qingran, "Ranran, let’s go quick."
When Qingran reached home, Li Qingmo still hadn’t returned as he was compelled by the teacher to join the physics competition.
At 6:27 PM, Ruan Ruan’s call came.
"Ranran Ranran," Ruan Ruan excitedly called out on the other end of the phone, not waiting for Qingran to ask, she blurted out quickly,
"Ah, Ranran, just now on the school forum someone started exposing Tan Xiaobing’s dirty laundry, oh my god, dozens of posts, everyone’s talking, let me tell you Tan Xiaobing is such a gossip, that rumor about you started with her, serves her right..."
Ruan Ruan chattered on and on, directly saying she would go to the school forum to watch the drama, and then abruptly hung up the phone.
Qingran put down her phone, hesitated for a moment, and ultimately did not enter the school forum.
Forget it, she thought, being talked about behind your back is not a pleasant feeling, hopefully, Tan Xiaobing can take a hint.
Meanwhile, in Class Two of Senior Year Three, they were still in self-study, and unusually, God Ji was still in the classroom at this hour.
"Look!" Ji He handed his phone to Ji Yanchen, "I’ve already deleted all the posts about Junior Sister, and this Tan Xiaobing’s posts I’ll leave up just for tonight, I’ll delete them tomorrow, what do you think?"
Ji He explained, "I heard it was this Tan Xiaobing who spread the rumors about Junior Sister, she’s not that kind of person."
"Mm." Ji Yanchen surprisingly agreed with Ji He, he looked at the phone screen, his long bangs obscuring his eyes, and after a long while, he said, "Don’t delete."
"Eh?" Ji He was momentarily stunned.
Then he heard him continue, "Don’t delete, I’ll handle it."
Oh, Ji He understood, God Ji meant he wasn’t supposed to delete posts about Tan Xiaobing, if anything happened, he, Ji Yanchen, would handle it.
Tsk, such a good man, he wanted one too.
