Chapter 1555 - Chapter 1555 Chapter 1556 Vineyard

Chapter 1555: Chapter 1556 Vineyard Chapter 1555: Chapter 1556 Vineyard From afar, Basford was engaged in combat with two gigantic bosses that resembled apes. They were bulky, their bodies draped in thick black hair, standing at a towering height of five or six meters. Each of their movements brimmed with explosive power.

Despite both bosses being at the pinnacle of the Legendary Realm, they stood no chance against Basford and were relentlessly beaten back.

“Legendary Realm powerhouses are vastly inferior to those at the Demi-God Level,” Song Jian shook his head, glancing at the “Law of Power” in his inventory, hesitating.

Although Song Jian was not afraid of Basford, the power of his Domain felt somewhat futile against the Power of Law; it could save his life, but gaining the upper hand in combat was very difficult.

Boom!

With a raise of his right hand, Basford conjured a fist-sized fireball that crashed into a giant ape. The skill, seeming nothing more than an ordinary Fireball Spell, inflicted massive damage, catapulting the five to six-meter-tall, three-ton beast through the air.

No sooner had the giant ape touched the ground than a cluster of fire clouds swiftly formed in the sky. Like meteorites crashing down, a shower of burning meteors engulfed both giant apes.

From a distance, Song Jian watched carefully as Basford’s skills, seemingly identical to those of a Fire Mage, were all cast instantaneously, and with tremendous might. Even a common Fireball Spell had the power rivaling the might of an average mage’s fifth-tier skill, Flame Burst.

It seemed like the role of a ranged mage, but Song Jian knew that every Demi-God Level powerhouse had no clear weakness. Even if Basford’s melee capabilities weren’t strong, he could still defend himself and wouldn’t become an easy target like an ordinary mage once cornered.

The two Legendary Realm apex bosses did not last long under Basford’s hands; within five minutes, both giant apes were reduced to corpses, dropping a large pile of items.

Song Jian watched as Basford picked up a gem radiating purplish-gold light, smiled, then continued forward. The rest of the loot, as if beneath his notice, lay untouched on the ground.

When Basford left, Song Jian approached the corpses of the two bosses, collecting the remaining items. To a Demi-God Level being, silver and gold-quality items were trash, but to players, they were precious, as the loot from a dungeon catered to forty-man raid teams was inherently valuable.

“Unfortunately, the best items have been taken by Basford…” Song Jian thought regretfully, yet he believed that this level five dungeon was not so simple as to only house bosses from the Legendary Realm.

“If this is truly the Divine Fall Land of the Goddess of Harvest, it couldn’t be just a few Legendary Realm bosses guarding the place. There must be Demi-God Level, even Divine Level bosses. After all, the Goddess of Harvest is no weak deity; there surely are divine envoys and minions…” Song Jian mused internally.

Trailing behind Basford, Song Jian continued onward. The marvel of the Five Elements Escape Skill was its stealth, imperceptible to even Demi-God Level powerhouses.

After killing three more Legendary Realm apex bosses, Basford appeared somewhat weary, taking a moment to rest on a rock.

Given it was a forty-man raid dungeon, whether the minions or bosses, each possessed strength far superior to those outside the dungeon. Even as a Demi-God Level powerhouse, battling through had taken its toll on Basford.

“It’s just ahead. I can feel it, my hope of ascending to the Divine Level is right in front of me!” Basford lifted his gaze towards the distance, sensing his opportunity lay ahead – he was merely half a step away from becoming a Divine Level powerhouse.

After a brief rest, Basford pressed onward. Monsters continuously sprang out trying to impede his path, causing Basford irritation. Unleashing the Law of Flames’ Power, he instantly turned the surrounding dozens of meters into a no-go zone. Any monsters entering his Law Domain were scorched by the flames; the level 100 plus elite monsters didn’t even get close before being burnt to death.

Maintaining the Power of Law was costly, but it was incredibly efficient. Basford did not pause on his way, charging along the path and leaving only a trail of monster corpses in his wake.

Finally, Basford saw a huge temple appear in the distance, and a faint song of praise drifted from the distant temple, lifting one’s spirits instantly.

In front of the temple, there was a vast vineyard, with grapevines half the height of a man, bearing bunches of purple grapes that shone like purple crystals in the light.

“This is it, this is the place, the opportunity for divinity is right here!” Basford, excited to the point of madness, sprinted towards the distant temple.

As he passed through the vineyard, Basford stopped, looking at the bunches of grapes that resembled purple crystals, his face showing hesitance.

These grapes were not ordinary; they possessed a trace of the divine, and to players, they were treasures of immense value, even for demi-god level powerhouses, they held great allure.

But with the opportunity for divinity in the distance, these treasures seemed less tempting to Basford.

After hesitating for a moment, Basford continued forward, deciding to collect the purple crystal grapes after securing the opportunity for divinity.

Just as he prepared to cross the vineyard to enter the temple, a man in a white robe suddenly appeared among the vines, quietly watching him.

“This is not the place for you; retreat!” the man in the white robe calmly told Basford as he stared at him.

“You cannot stop me,” said Basford solemnly to the white-robed man, sensing that this man harbored a powerful force within him, hardly any weaker than himself.

“Step back!” the white-robed man commanded, and a mysterious force emerged, causing Basford to involuntarily retreat dozens of steps backward, away from the vineyard.

In an instant, a pale purple barrier enveloped the entire vineyard, and the white-robed man levitated into the air, his gaze cold as he looked down at Basford.

Basford’s face turned pale; he was unable to resist that mysterious power, something he had never encountered before.

Boom!

A cold Law of Power emanated from the white-robed man, and excluding the vineyard protected by the purple barrier, every object around began to frost over.

The Law of Frost…

Basford’s expression turned stern, and with a “whoosh,” flames erupted over his body, the air filling with searing heat.

Waves of heat rolled out, and within a radius of dozens of meters, the temperature rose by hundreds of degrees, countering the encroaching Law of Frost. A distinct line formed where fire and frost met, with the two opposing forces clashing and consuming one another.
