I have an Apocalypse City
Chapter 1336 - Chapter 1336 Chapter 1338 Terror

Chapter 1336: Chapter 1338 Terror Chapter 1336: Chapter 1338 Terror The Red Lotus Karma Fire possesses a purifying function, which is extremely potent against evil creatures. Abyssal creatures and ghostly creatures have absolutely no ability to resist when faced with the Red Lotus Karma Fire. Even a slight touch could immediately burn them to ashes, only those extremely powerful BOSSes have some resistance against the Red Lotus Karma Fire.

Granite seemed to sense the power of the Red Lotus Karma Fire on the Spirit Sword, his expression becoming grave as he snorted coldly and retreated, no longer bothering to continue his attack on Song Jian.

However, the myriad of Spirit Swords, much like relentless maggots, closely pursued Granite. Granite felt annoyed–when had he ever been forced to such a state by someone with merely second tier peak combat power?

“If not for the suppression of this world, you would have been torn to shreds by me long ago!” Granite roared in anger.

At that moment, Song Jian was trying hard to dodge a black blade aura over ten zhang long. Unfortunately, his luck was poor, and the blade aura randomly chose a “Song Jian,” which turned out to be Song Jian’s true body.

“A fifty percent chance, and my luck is still…” Song Jian’s face looked somewhat unsightly.

The blade aura behind him emitted a terrifying presence. Although it was just a blade energy, it felt no less threatening to Song Jian than an unrivaled deadly weapon.

By now, the blade aura had locked onto Song Jian. No matter how he dodged, it relentlessly chased him.

Just then, Song Jian’s Sword Shadow Clone used the Sword Control Art and flew towards Song Jian, rushing towards the blade aura of its own accord.

Thousand Swords Art!

With a light shout from the Sword Shadow Clone, countless Spirit Swords floated on either side of its body. At its command, hundreds of Spirit Swords headed straight for the black blade aura.

Clang Clang Clang Clang~

A series of breaking sounds rang incessantly in the ears, as the Spirit Swords, like moths to a flame, shattered one after another in the face of the black blade energy. Eventually, all the Spirit Swords turned into shiny fragments, slowly disappearing mid-air. Song Jian’s Sword Shadow Clone was cut in half at the waist by the black blade energy and fell into the sea.

By now, the black blade energy had consumed most of its strength, and the sense of threat to Song Jian’s life had significantly lessened. Clenching his teeth, Song Jian wielded the Sky-breaking Sword with all his might, striking at the black blade energy.

With a thunderous explosion like a clap of thunder, a loud noise burst forth above the sea, as though a thunderclap in a clear sky, causing Song Jian to uncontrollably fly back over ten meters before slowly stabilizing his figure.

Song Jian’s face looked pale, and his right hand trembled involuntarily, barely able to hold the Sky-breaking Sword. A tearing pain surged like a tide, and his entire arm felt uncontrollable, devoid of any strength.

“This, this was just a casual strike from him…” Song Jian internally remarked, becoming even more wary of Granite at the moment.

Such terrifying strength was comparable to legendary peak forces like the Abyssal Magic Vine. And now, this evil demon had just taken over Granite’s body and had not fully adapted. Coupled with this world’s suppression, his strength could only be exerted to about sixty or seventy percent at most.

“If I encountered him within the game, I probably wouldn’t even have a chance to escape!” Song Jian thought to himself.

Looking up, Granite was already surrounded by countless Spirit Swords, the fluttering blades carving an eerie trajectory through the air, attacking Granite from unimaginable angles.

However, Granite seemed to possess a divine, omniscient perspective, predicting every Spirit Sword’s path with a clear understanding; the Scythe of Death in his hands drew lingering shadows, batting away the approaching swords.

Facing the assault of more than five hundred Spirit Swords, Granite gave the impression of a casual stroll down the Champs-Elysees, the vast number of swords unable to exert the slightest pressure on him.

Granite even found the time to face Song Jian with a confident smile, further intensifying the pressure on Song Jian’s heart.

Yet the thought of fleeing merely brushed through Song Jian’s mind; such a terrifying demon, if left unchecked, would undoubtedly create tsunamic waves in the real world–perhaps even toppling several nations.

Tens of thousands would die because of him, countless towns destroyed; Song Jian knew well that constructing portals to the Abyssal Hell was a foundational skill for every powerful Abyssal demon.

Once an Abyssal demon discovers a new world, it wouldn’t take long before a surging army of demons from the Abyss would overrun it, turning it into a vassal of the Abyssal Hell.

In the game world, the Abyssal invasion storyline had just concluded; tens, hundreds of thousands of NPC humans lost their lives to this so-called quest, and although the Abyss only captured a fifth-tier city, who knows how many cities of lower tiers were destroyed.

Most importantly, the Abyssal invasion storyline ended with the capture of just one fifth-tier city; one can imagine that had the game system not been manipulating from behind, it wouldn’t have ended so easily at all.

Thinking this, Song Jian took a deep breath, his demeanor tensing in preparation, which caused Granite’s smile to stiffen and his gaze to turn venomous.

“So annoying, this little crawler!” Granite muttered to himself, and at that moment, the myriad Spirit Swords transformed into flaming petals of lotus, converging toward Granite.

Strands of formation energy began binding Granite, web-like and seemingly insignificant against his might, which he simply shrugged off with a tremble of his body.

Though these invisible forces of the formation were repelled, they remained undamaged, undiscouraged as they floated back towards Granite.

And then, a colossal flame lotus emerged around Granite, its potent suction and Soul Lock causing his complexion to change; within this fully-evolved Karmic Fire Red Lotus Sword Formation, he sensed an ominous threat.

It had been so long since he had faced a fear that threatened his very life, leaving him feeling unfamiliar and unsure, and in that moment of hesitation, he doomed his last chance of escape.

When the Red Lotus Sword Array neared its final, constricting stage, a look of genuine terror appeared on Granite’s face.

“No, this, this is…” Granite seemed to dredge up something from a distant memory, recognizing the Sword Formation before him; no longer composed and graceful, he began furiously attacking the nearly closed formation, his roars echoing from within as a look of profound relief crossed Song Jian’s face.
