Chapter 672: Chapter 672: She Bit Me_1

Looking southeastward, although he had gained decent eyesight, it wasn’t the Sen Luo Eye; he couldn’t see what was happening there at all and could only shake his head slightly.

Afterward, Li Muyun and Hu Jing easily snuck into a small villa by the mountain. The gate of the villa was wide open, the interior a mess, with no sign of humans or zombies.

He locked all the doors and windows, to prevent zombies from entering and to keep Hu Jing from leaving as well.

Once he ensured their safety, the first thing Li Muyun did was rush to the kitchen and open the refrigerator.

"Lord, are you kidding me?"

To his immense frustration, he discovered that the refrigerated compartment was completely empty! Opening the freezer compartment, he finally saw some cured meat and frozen food with relief.

He did an inventory: a pack of frozen dumplings, two packs of frozen children’s steaks, a stick of cured meat, a bag of raw pork chops, and two packs of sweet rice dumplings.

The food wasn’t plentiful, but he wasn’t planning on staying long; having enough to eat for a meal was sufficient.

Turning on the gas, he cooked all the frozen dumplings and sweet rice dumplings, and also fried the two steaks, leaving the frozen pork chops to defrost on the side before planning to fry them.

It was either the scent of steak or something else that made Hu Jing, who had been sitting idly in the living room, stagger into the kitchen. Her footsteps were so light that when he turned around, he was startled.

Seeing the comical expression on his face when he was startled, a flicker of life briefly appeared in Hu Jing’s vacant eyes, but it disappeared quickly, and he didn’t notice it.

"Can’t you make a little noise when you walk?"

He looked at the stupefied Hu Jing speechlessly.

After staring at each other for a while, he shouted as he smelled something burning, then scrambled to flip the steaks.

After a busy flurry, he finally placed a large bowl of food on the dining table, carefully pulled out a chair for Hu Jing, and had her sit down, then cautiously untied the towel from her mouth.

"Roar!"

Hu Jing suddenly let out an excited roar and, like zombies gnawing on human corpses on the street, she began to devour the steak on the plate voraciously. With her hands tied, she could only use her mouth, and her movements were so vigorous that she even knocked the porcelain plate to the ground, shattering it. The single piece of steak was clearly not enough for Hu Jing; she pounced on the table and grabbed the steak that was originally in front of him, biting and gnawing at it desperately.

Watching Hu Jing, his face did not show much surprise nor anger, just a faint trace of sadness. He knew her condition was only temporary, yet he couldn’t help feeling guilty because she was this way to save him.

With a soft sigh, he waited for Hu Jing to finish the steak and then used the towel to gag her mouth again.

Just as Hu Jing was about to completely finish the steak, her frenzied eating suddenly stopped; she then threw herself to the side and vomited out all the beef she had just swallowed!

"What’s the matter?" he asked anxiously, looking at Hu Jing.

"Thump!" Hu Jing suddenly pushed the wooden table aside, staggeringly ran to the stove, and bit into the thawing, somewhat bloody pork chop.

"Argh! Argh!"

Hu Jing had lost all semblance of humanity as she tore into the bloody pork chop, quickly swallowing a large piece without vomiting this time, only to suddenly pounce towards him.

He hurriedly backed away!

But Hu Jing moved with incredible speed, and he had no escape. He could see Hu Jing’s blood-stained teeth about to sink into his neck.

At the critical moment, Hu Jing suddenly stopped, tilting her head back to howl, then madly dashed out of the kitchen!

"Su Su!" he chased after her urgently, realizing from Hu Jing’s behavior that she still recognized him! The blue potion was working!

"Sss—" You burst out of the kitchen, horrified to find that Hu Jing was actually crawling on the floor, slithering like a snake! Hu Jing moved to the railing and then her delicate body twisted around and coiled up the pillar, even sticking out half of her head, sticking out a forked tongue at you, just like a snake!

Although Hu Jing’s appearance possessed a temptation that no man could resist, you couldn’t feel happy because this form of Hu Jing was far more dangerous than when she was in her zombie state!

"Su Su, do you recognize me?" You hesitated to approach, speaking to Hu Jing from a distance.

"Sss!" Hu Jing retracted her head and then suddenly charged forward a short distance, her eyes no longer vacant but glowing with a daunting sharpness; they slanted upwards, exuding a unique deterrent force.

She was warning you not to come closer!

"Su Su, it’s me, Li Muyun!"

You tried taking a few steps forward. Hu Jing didn’t react but continued to flick her pink tongue slightly, the trembling of her almond-shaped tongue in the air, despite knowing the dangerous situation at hand, still involuntarily sparked a primal urge within you.

You could only squeeze your third leg together, still staring straight at Hu Jing’s gem-like serpentine eyes: "Su Su, I won’t hurt you, just come down from the pillar, and we can talk slowly."

You took a few more steps.

"Sss!"

Hu Jing’s body stretched out as if in an instant and hurled itself at you!

There was no time to retreat, and you were hit squarely in the chest by Hu Jing, the force sending you flying into the wall and thumping to the ground!

You knew the strange reagent must have taken effect, but you couldn’t understand why Hu Jing’s strength was so great, while you had only gained a bit of heightened senses.

Clutching your aching chest, you slowly got up, about to speak to Hu Jing again, only to see her body, coiled around the pillar, suddenly trembling violently. With a "thump," Hu Jing fell to the floor, her body not ceasing to tremble but shaking even more ferociously—as if she were a fish out of water, flipping, jumping, and twitching on the ground.

"Su Su!"

Such a sight caused your heart to tremble involuntarily!

Guilt, self-blame, tenderness, anger, and other emotions, like a knife, sliced your heart into pieces one cut at a time!

You rushed towards her and held Hu Jing’s delicate body tightly, flipping and tumbling along with her, and for Hu Jing’s sake, you let your own back hit the ground every time.

"Sss!"

"Roar!"

"Sss!"

"Roar!"

...

Every flip from Hu Jing produced two completely different sounds, as if there were two strange energies colliding inside her body.

With what seemed like endless strength, Hu Jing kept flipping, and you, clinging to her, were hit so many times that you vomited blood. When finally, Hu Jing’s flipping stopped, her body started to shiver violently once more, the chattering of her teeth sounding like the breaking of your heart.

"Su Su, Su Su!" Worried that Hu Jing might bite her own tongue due to the chattering, you even put your arm in her mouth.

"Awoh!"

As if sensing the scent of human flesh and blood, Hu Jing fiercely bit down on your arm!
