Chapter 330: Chapter 115 Do You Know I Am Very Brave_2
Some zombies fell from heights, cracking their skulls and bleeding, some broke their legs with bones tearing through flesh, gruesome and bloody.
Even if they broke their legs, they still charged into battle.
Looking at the scene before him.
"Truly insane, these zombies, can ordinary survivors stand a chance when facing you?"
"Lucky for you, you’ve met me."
Charging, slashing, with domineering tactics, sweeping, hacking.
After a while.
The growling ’hehe’ noises had dissipated, and the road was covered with dense piles of zombie corpses, blood flowing from the bodies, staining the ground thickly, sticking to the soles of shoes with every casual step.
Lin Fan casually swung his sword, shaking off the viscous substances, and continued walking forward.
Observing the surroundings, it seemed unlikely that any survivors could live on without enough food support given the number of zombies around.
He knew there was a university here.
It was a second-tier college.
He had once thought that studying locally would be a nice option, at least he wouldn’t have to stay in school accommodations, but ultimately he didn’t go to university and chose to learn a trade instead.
Soon, he stopped at the entrance of Huang City University.
Everything in front of him seemed quiet, filthy, a complete reversal from its former state.
The entrance sign "Huang City University" was covered with coagulated blood, the ground littered with many withered corpses, and the security booth’s windows shattered, with something resembling intestines hanging out of the window.
Images flashed in his mind.
Possibly a security guard was chased by zombies, in panic, broke through a window; just as he was half out, his lower body was devoured by zombies, and likewise outside, zombies gnawed at him until his intestines spilled out.
Suddenly.
He saw smoke drifting from the roof of a building—not very thick, but still clearly visible.
"Are there survivors still alive?"
Lin Fan thought to himself, in dire situations, humans can exhibit incredible strength, and their will to live is unimaginable.
He walked into the school.
There were no zombies around, which felt slightly strange, but he understood that noises outside usually drew them away. Just when he assumed it was safe, his face was fiercely slapped.
A ’hehe’ noise sounded.
A zombie appeared from around the corner. Upon seeing the zombie, he just quietly observed it wandering in underwear, its face muddy, a viscous liquid dripping from its mouth corners.
Possibly when the outbreak happened,
he was still asleep. He woke to a world turned upside down and was then bitten by zombies, to roam as one.
"Hehe..."
The underwear-clad zombie twisted its head, its pale eyes spinning, mouth open growling at Lin Fan, swinging its arms rapidly, lunging at him.
"Ah."
Lin Fan sighed, lifted his foot, and with a thud, kicked the zombie, bursting it open and spilling viscous liquid everywhere.
Dormitory.
The smoke was rising from the dormitory roof.
Climbing the stairs, the walls no longer bore their original color, smeared with darkened blood, one could imagine how chaotic and terrible the scene was at the time, standing there as if seeing countless frightened shadows rushing down from the upper floors.
Their emotions were panicked, fearful, being chased by zombies, knocked to the ground and bitten, their pitiful screams wishing someone would rescue them.
Ultimately, they died in despair, turned into zombies, wandering aimlessly, harming other survivors.
Second floor.
Standing in the corridor, watching the dim, quiet hallway, the dorm rooms on either side, some with doors open, some tightly closed; listening carefully, one might hear the sound of water dripping in the bathroom.
"Is anyone there?"
He shouted in the second-floor hallway.
No echo returned.
Lin Fan continued up toward the upper floors, the quiet atmosphere easily inducing a sense of panic.
Third floor.
"Is anyone there?"
He shouted similarly in the third-floor hallway, and suddenly, with a bang, a loud banging noise came from a tightly shut dorm room next to him, as if something inside was violently hitting the security door.
Listening closely.
A ’hehe’ sound could be heard inside the dorm.
"Didn’t expect a zombie to be locked inside, not having jumped out from the window."
Lin Fan paid no attention, the door was locked from the inside; to open it, it would have to be forced, and breaking the door would certainly require compensation, something his current finances could not support.
He reached the fifth floor, where two safety doors blocked the entrance to the corridor. Ascending the stairs to the entrance, he pulled at the door which creaked but wasn’t locked.
He looked down the hallway.
At the end, a figure stood quietly looking.
As Lin Fan was about to speak, the figure calmly walked into a dorm room.
"There still are survivors alive."
He walked towards the end of the hallway, slightly covering his nose, the smell on this floor was foul, as if various odors had mixed together, making him feel nauseous.
Looking at the dorm rooms on both sides, some doors were closed, some were open; the ones open were in total disarray, many belongings scattered on the floor, chaotic, wondering what kind of turmoil had occurred here when the apocalypse first arrived.
"Hmm..."
He furrowed his brows, sensing the presence of someone in a closed room.
Arriving at the end, the door was slightly ajar, peering through the crack, inside was pitch black, as if it was dark despite being daytime, probably due to the curtains being drawn, blocking out the sunlight.
