Chapter 101: Chapter 077 Not Only Are We Trying Hard, Zombies Are Also Trying Hard_2

This having been said,

The other two survivors stood with their mouths agape, eyes wide, a mix of confusion and disbelief on their faces.

Everyone was an ordinary person; how could such things happen? But if not, how else could they clearly explain the situation now?

At that moment,

Lin Fan approached Haoge.

He didn’t intend to say much. What needed to be done was clear: to subdue and take them to the police station. This behavior was despicable and had crossed his threshold for tolerance.

"Just come quietly to the police station, don’t think about resisting, or it will only hurt you," Lin Fan said.

"I’ll be damned..." Haoge, furious, swung a punch at Lin Fan, but the punch was weak. His strength had been sapped by debauchery; even a zombie couldn’t be felled by such a punch, let alone pose a threat to Lin Fan.

Lin Fan caught Haoge’s fist and gently applied force.

In pain, Haoge grimaced and his expression changed dramatically, "Let go, let go, let me go!"

Lin Fan pulled Haoge closer and locked his arm behind his back. The pain caused Haoge to scream agonizingly, not expecting Lin Fan to be so fierce.

"No rope, huh?"

Lin Fan looked around but couldn’t find any rope. He hadn’t expected to encounter such an incident just taking out the trash, and he felt quite helpless about it.

He spotted Haoge’s belt and got an idea. He undid the other man’s belt and tied his hands behind his back, but the trousers were slightly too large, and they slipped down.

Lin Fan glanced down and discovered the man wasn’t wearing underwear, which he couldn’t understand; he hadn’t expected such a quirk, and he took a quick look.

"So small, like a child’s."

He casually commented, which was just an observation with no ill intent, just telling it as it was.

Immersed in his pain, Haoge paid no attention to Lin Fan’s words. In the past, if anyone had dared to say such things, he would have smashed a wine bottle over their head and dragged them off for cosmetic surgery to reduce it to the size of a peanut.

If it were a woman, with a clap of his hands, twenty men would appear, and what happened next could be left to the imagination.

Seeing Haoge being restrained, the other three survivors didn’t even think before they ran off into the distance, seemingly understanding the seriousness of the situation. We might be ordinary people, but the person who can split a raider with one strike is definitely not ordinary.

Running was their only choice.

They ran swiftly, but suddenly, a zombie staggered in front of them. Startled, they shuddered, and the dull-looking zombie, spotting the three delicious runners, let out a raspy roar and dashed towards them.

"Ah... help!"

They ran towards Lin Fan.

The zombie was faster than them, roaring as it quickly pounced on one of the slightly heavier men, pinning him down and ferociously biting into him, splattering blood instantly.

The two fleeing survivors looked back to see the gruesome scene of the man being bitten viciously in the neck by the zombie, shaking them to their cores.

"Save me, save me..."

The plump man struggled, pushing against the zombie, but the zombie bit into his arm, causing him to scream in agonizing pain.

Moments later, the virus invaded.

The bitten man, his body trembling, heaved himself up, emitting a raspy noise, his pupils faded and his eyes turned a ghastly grey, emitting a fierce roar as he rose from the ground.

Lin Fan, hearing the noise, looked over.

"Even in a post-apocalyptic world, where some have turned into zombies, some still have the instinct to fight injustice and intercept criminals, even though such interventions can be a bit too extreme," Lin Fan remarked with a sigh.

What to do with the apocalypse, some essence still resides in the heart, just like everyone likes a spectacle. Wherever something happens, people will gather. If the matter is already settled, they’ll make a comment, and if help is needed, they’ll come together to assist.

To be honest, these behaviors are contradictory, perhaps that’s just a national trait.

He had seen some news reports before.

A car fell into the water, and the excited crowd stood on the shore, watching as the sedan sank, discussing how much the car was worth, and whether the insurance company would compensate, and so on – just the sort of topic spectators love to discuss.

But if there were people in the car, the onlookers on the shore, as if injected with adrenaline, would jump into the river, shouting to the people on the shore to find hammers, bricks, and to save them first and so on.

So, this is quite a contradiction in behavior.

The zombie was just like that, bravely stepping forward to stop the fleeing criminals, though its actions were a tad over-the-top, which was quite frustrating.

"Save us," the two remaining survivors said, looking fearfully at Lin Fan.

Lin Fan naturally couldn’t just stand by, he had to take them to the police station, and wouldn’t attack them as long as they posed no danger to himself.

If he had to defend himself, that would be his own problem.

"Don’t come closer, you just behaved admirably, though a bit extreme, but I can understand it must have been because he threatened you. If you attack me, however, I will defend myself," Lin Fan murmured to the zombie.

The effect was negligible.

The newly transformed zombie felon, fiercely pounced towards Lin Fan.

For the two survivors hiding behind, seeing someone they knew turn into such a terrifying zombie was naturally very fearful.
