I loved the first half of the novel, it has an interesting concept (not unique as there are a lot of cliches, but it was entertaining). Although it was a rushed ending, it wasn’t as unsatisfactory as you’ll think (what needed to be done was done). It had a lot of potential but unfortunately it was cut short :(
Simple, relaxing and really enjoy story. Mc has some really overpowered instant kill abillity, but since he needs to touch his opponent, it stays interesting. This is the best, if you want to read something just to relax. That would be if not for the ending... it's like hundreds of chapters passed into 10... So it's only a 3,5 for me
I dropped this story around chapter 98. The protagonist is not raising his personal level nor has he bothered to unlock mana manipulation. Especially since the story hints at the fact he is likely very talented in magic. Instead the protagonist spends his time collecting unique supernatural powers called mysteries. The world he is now inhabiting was previously a video game with the protagonist being a top player. Given his expert status as a top player, he should supposedly know the locations of all of the mysteries including mysteries that were referenced in the lore but were unavailable to the players. He wakes up 5 years before the games timeline and decides to take advantage of that information to gain even more mysteries.
If the author does not intend to increase his level and magic proficiency. At least min-max his character by collecting all the mysteries. But the author decided otherwise and the protagonist ends up losing a few mysteries to other people. I officially dropped the story when this happened for the second time. The first instance I was mostly fine with because the ability was useless to the protagonist and it went to a major villain which served to increase the stories tension. It was basically the power to permanently possess another persons body. The second instance went a step too far and my investment in the story plummeted.
Also despite initially framing the protagonist as an expert. The author has the protagonist regularly forget lore details or mentions the fact he never bothered to acquire certain mysteries for himself and simply watched videos of other players find them. Top player my ass, who skips out on unique abilities?
Amazing! Simply amazing. Good character development, good world building, good plots, hell even good dialogues that flew natural.
I'm just a bit sad that it ended a bit too quickly. That's all i have to say.
