Chapter 450: Chapter 251: Mid-Level Area - Battle of Ten Thousand Armies - Wulaoguan
"I made a huge profit, a huge profit," said Gu Shanhai with a smile, his eyes wide with delight. He had replicated 97 percent of the Goddess system, with the remaining three percent belonging to the core area, protected by a higher force. However, it didn’t matter much. The three percent was likely related to Demonic Qi, which wasn’t much related to the corresponding artificial intelligence.
He smiled so broadly that it exacerbated his wounds.
The side effects of using the World Tree form were much more severe than those from his extreme state.
Actually, Gu Shanhai hadn’t expected this trip to be so fruitful; at most, he had anticipated mingling with some Demonic Qi.
True enough, he had also brought back Demonic Qi, but since he wasn’t in the Hero World, it had lost its ability to autonomously grow.
"I need to make time to study the Goddess system to perfect the Nine States Instrument," the first idea that came to Gu Shanhai was to enhance the Azure Dragon’s spiritual intelligence using the Goddess system’s AI capabilities. This would ensure that Azure Dragon wouldn’t have to worry about these matters for a while.
Yet, Gu Shanhai quickly dismissed the idea. Enhancing the Azure Dragon’s intellect didn’t seem very useful; its purpose was to assist him and serve as a weapon.
It would be better to use it on the Nine States Instrument, which would transform it into a quantum computer; as part of the Nine States Instrument, the Azure Dragon would also benefit from the computing power boost.
In the future, when the White Tiger, Vermillion Bird, and Black Tortoise joined in, their collective power could be further enhanced.
The Goddess system was indeed versatile, but if Gu Shanhai could sort it out at once, there was no need to create so much additional consumption.
"It’s a pity. I only got the software program codes of the Goddess system, with none of the hardware technology," Gu Shanhai felt somewhat disappointed.
For instance, in the No. 7 Extinction Program, Gu Shanhai only acquired a series of ignition and calibration programs, without any clue on how the hardware should be manufactured, what materials were needed, or anything substantial.
Such data would definitely not be stored in the Goddess system. Similar to artillery personnel, their main duty was how to launch the cannonballs and hit the target, rather than understanding how to build high-tech artillery equipment from scratch. That’s a job for research personnel.
The main functions of the Goddess system were management and eradication. The former targeted Demonic Qi, and the latter targeted viruses like those in heroes or mutated individuals like Gu Shanhai. It was also capable in other areas, but they paled in comparison to these two.
"Considering the current situation, mastering the Goddess system will take me at least one to ten years."
The reason for such a wide time frame was that Gu Shanhai did not intend to just replicate the Goddess system; he wanted to create his own artificial intelligence and quantum computer.
"First, it’s the Nine States Instrument. The hardware is too inferior; even fitting Azure Dragon into it wouldn’t make the Goddess system run successfully."
"It will at least have to wait till I reach the Peeping Dao Stage and have all Four Sacred Beasts assembled to fully accommodate it."
The last five breakthroughs in Gu Shanhai’s cultivation system would definitely rely on a series of programs based mainly on the Nine States Instrument.
"However, if I succeed, the accuracy of prophetic divination would improve by at least half."
If the Nine States Instrument truly becomes a quantum computer, its function wouldn’t just be prophetic divination. This is just one of its functions.
"This belongs to a long-term plan, so there’s no rush. I’ll learn slowly."
At this point, Gu Shanhai didn’t really have another growth plan. Within his cultivation system, he was at the Spirit Origin Stage, still assimilating the massive Spirit Vein, which would take about fifty more years to refine completely.
He had the refinement process running on autopilot assigned to the Spirit Plant attached to him. Once the process was set up, it would continue to run automatically.
Thus, his main course of action now was the Goddess system.
"Forget it. Let’s enter the instance," Gu Shanhai sighed and then pulled out a blank invitation.
At this moment, the intermediate area had entered a cooling phase. Gu Shanhai thought about whether there was any exploits to take advantage of.
[High-Class World / Intermediate Zone - Battle of Ten Thousand Armies, Daoist Soldier, Warrior Leader]
Upon that blank invitation, Gu Shanhai wrote a series of characters. This was a world he had wanted to visit before; firstly to settle the matter with the Daoist Soldiers, and secondly to stay there a few more years, to brand a grand scene as miraculous scenery for future breakthrough into the Heavenly Scenery Stage.
This world belonged to a phase not yet open, initially scheduled to open to players sporadically entering through the intermediate zone only after ten thousand years. Even to be freely opened as a high-class world would take about fifty thousand years.
The energy level was absurdly high, roughly equating to player levels around 1000 to 3000.
It wasn’t that Gu Shanhai couldn’t beat even a child upon entering; rather, he just wouldn’t be able to compete with the stronger entities. In any world, there were gaps between transients, the strong ones, and the average people. Correspondingly, the higher the world’s energy level, the stronger the resources available, which meant that Gu Shanhai’s rate of strengthening would be faster, although the associated risks were also greater.
However, if there really were no risks involved, Gu Shanhai wouldn’t dare to come. The most expensive things are those received for free.
After filling it out, Gu Shanhai used it right away.
The next instant, Gu Shanhai noticed the surrounding changes, though he wondered why this time, the "First Era" hadn’t hit him on the back of his head with a brick, but instead transported him so lightly.
