Chapter 448: Chapter 250: Mechanical Descent, High-Energy Interference

"Uncle, what’s wrong?" Chu Zhen looked at Gu Shanhai with some confusion.

"Take these two things, study them well, I wrote this myself." Gu Shanhai said as he took out two "Demon King Fusion Manuals" and handed them over to the two.

The two of them tensed up, "What happened?"

"We’ve probably been exposed. You go find Deng Yong first, he’s supposed to be at the Holy Kingdom giving explanations," Gu Shanhai sighed.

Before, with one being sarcastic and the other hidden with barbed words, Deng Yong refused to let the two accompany him for leveling up and went alone.

"I feel more at ease giving these to you. As for Deng Yong, observe him a bit more, if there’s no issue then hand them to him. With his temperament, he’s likely to screw things up," Gu Shanhai knew that the Reincarnator Alliance did not need a saintly figure to lead but someone who could expand the Alliance by any means necessary.

Implementing benevolent governance right after development would be laughably foolish; if one couldn’t survive oneself, to still worry about those who harm oneself would be idiotic.

"Uncle, come with us. You only think that they haven’t come yet," Chu was also quite anxious.

"Chu’s right, Uncle Gu, let’s get out of here first. Don’t worry about Deng Yong, he went on his own, it’s not like we forced him," Liu Lai was even more radical, suggesting they flee and not even bother with Deng Yong.

However, Gu Shanhai gazed at the sky, where ripples suddenly emerged in abundance.

"There’s no time, hurry and go first, take Deng Yong to another Hero Continent, I’ll cover your retreat," Gu Shanhai urged.

The two still wanted to say something, but then they saw the sky collapsing, with massive twisted shadows appearing. Behind the shadows, mechanical beings descended their tentacles, releasing giant floating squids.

These floating squids didn’t come for Gu Shanhai and the others; they were busy dismantling the entire world, seemingly intending to reclaim this piece of the Hero Continent.

Besides the floating squids, there were several glowing dots, moving like meteors, heading straight for Gu Shanhai and the others.

"Go!" Gu Shanhai roared.

Chu wanted to stay and fight alongside Gu Shanhai, but Liu Lai grabbed him and ran, speaking in a serious tone, "Uncle Gu, the Reincarnator Alliance won’t be lost, I’ll unite all Reincarnators."

"Good!"

After saying this, Liu Lai pulled Chu away. They moved incredibly fast, as they still had to find Deng Yong; they had to at least take one person with them.

Liu Lai realized that these attackers were targeting Gu Shanhai, and not them.

And Gu Shanhai was doing this to protect them, to leave behind some hope for the Reincarnator Alliance, to prepare for the future.

Otherwise, if Gu Shanhai wanted to flee, couldn’t he just leave? As long as he ditched them, he could continue to enjoy life on any Hero Continent.

"Target locked successfully, you have violated the relevant laws, surrender immediately," several burly men’s eyes flared red, speaking in unison like puppets.

"Hero?" Gu Shanhai squinted his eyes.

He saw that their internal structure’s core was the Hero Panel, and it was a more perfected and advanced structure.

It was as if the Heroes were using a subordinate system of these puppets.

"Tell me, which relevant law did I violate?" Gu Shanhai squinted his eyes, taking three steps back.

"Warning failed, beginning cleanup protocol." Clearly, the opponent’s earlier words were just a formality; regardless of what Gu Shanhai said, even if he surrendered, they would proceed as if he had failed to heed a warning.

Boom~

Energy erupted, forming waves.

Gu Shanhai didn’t feel much though, as the energy level of these Mechanical Transformation People wasn’t very high, at most around level 150, and they were just using a standard template, not elite or boss level, so their attacks had little effect on Gu Shanhai.

As a player with all hexagon stats maxed out, Gu Shanhai grabbed a Puppet Soldier trying to engage in close combat, and with a gentle tug, tore apart much of its body.

"Indeed, it’s a hybrid of machinery and flesh," Gu Shanhai noticed that many parts of the arm he was holding had been replaced with mechanical ones, and sparks of electricity crackled from it.

"If you combined this with a magnetic field rotation, I might have been scared. Just flesh coupled with machinery is too weak," Gu Shanhai mocked.

These Mechanical Transformation Soldiers were all modified from clones; they all looked identical and were likely cheap to produce, involving only three steps: gene potion injection, mechanical implantation, and software programming.

Gu Shanhai suspected that these might be the Goddess’s private armed forces under artificial intelligence and not the true military power of the main world.

Otherwise, they would not be so weak that Gu Shanhai could deal with them so easily.

"Huh? It seems you really want me dead, you’ve even sealed off a one-kilometer radius around me." Gu Shanhai was about to check the sky when he discovered an unknown force field around him, confining him within it and even using spatial abilities to enact a blockade.

"Thus, you are just making up the numbers?" Gu Shanhai raised an eyebrow, no wonder they only sent a few weaklings.

With a flick of his sleeve, his sleeve universe activated, and he directly collected a few Mechanical Transformation Soldiers into his sleeve.

He planned to return and study them thoroughly as their Hero System could be quite useful to Gu Shanhai.
