I Can Transform Into Any Monster -
Chapter 86: Meet Zane Again
Chapter 86: Meet Zane Again
"Well, what can you do?" Luis asked, stepping forward until he stood right in front of him, then struck his face, causing his cheek to swell.
He wasn’t the type to bully the weak, but for people like this, he had no problem doing so.
The issue was that he had disturbed his peace.
BANG!
He slapped the other cheek, and this time it turned blue.
The man trembled with rage, but was powerless to resist, as even the pressure from Luis’s aura made it difficult for him to stand.
To him, this wasn’t the aura of a Level B Awakener.
"Hmph!" Luis snorted coldly at his silence.
He withdrew his aura and kicked the middle-aged man, named Gonzalez, in the face, sending him flying and collapsing among his own bodyguards.
"Take him away," Luis ordered.
Hearing his command, they moved like lightning, carrying their boss away as they hurriedly left the hotel.
Luis became the center of attention among the hotel staff, none of whom had expected the young man staying in their hotel to be such a powerful Awakener.
"Let’s go!" Alice didn’t plan to stay in the hotel any longer. She started walking, naturally followed by Luis.
"Alice, where are you going?" Luis asked.
Out in public like this, he felt calling her "dear" might be awkward, so he addressed her by name.
He knew how to adapt to situations.
"I have to go home now. I can’t stay out tonight because my mother might look for me," Alice replied.
Luis nodded in response. From the beginning, they hadn’t planned to stay overnight at the hotel. They had only come for an afternoon nap.
"I’ll take a taxi. See you," Alice added before hailing a cab.
Luis didn’t stop her, simply watching her leave.
They were dating but not yet married. This meant they still had separate lives. They couldn’t always be together all the time.
He himself chose to go to the printing factory to pick up the books he had ordered.
Previously, he had left a Dimensional Artifact to store the books.
Even though it was nighttime, the factory was still bustling with activity, all its lights brightly lit due to the day’s busy work.
Luis quickly found the factory owner.
"Where are the books?" he asked.
"All stored inside this ring," the factory owner replied.
Luis took the ring and walked away without any intention of making small talk.
He wasn’t planning to go home yet. His eyes weren’t sleepy, and his body no longer felt tired.
With his current condition, he felt the need to fight. So, he entered the Apocalypse World.
The flood in Velos 33 was gone. The entire city looked peaceful, with stars filling the sky, though some of the buildings within the city had collapsed.
It seemed all the turtles that had attacked the city had left because their strongest had been killed.
Luis didn’t even see any other monsters. They might have been killed by the turtles.
Since there were no monsters, Luis also saw no Awakeners.
Those who went out on nighttime adventures, especially the weak ones, probably had no choice but to venture outside the city.
Luis then flew high into the sky, heading toward an area filled with mountains.
He hoped to encounter strong monsters to fight.
"Ehh..."
As he flew, he spotted a familiar figure below, fighting several rat-type monsters that stood three to four meters tall.
It was Zane, Isadonna’s cousin, a boy only twelve years old.
Luis hadn’t expected him to awaken at such a young age.
He was alone, wearing only casual clothes.
His level appeared to be at F+, but his power was fierce.
He wielded seven-colored lightning, each of which could transform into a dragon. Each strike easily killed a monster.
Even with his vast experience using high-level powers, Luis had to admit the boy’s abilities were extremely powerful.
’Did he awaken with a Tier 3 Spirit?’ Luis wondered suspiciously.
Of course, he couldn’t deny the Whitemoon Family’s talent.
Isadonna had such a unique spirit that she possessed two living clones.
The family was known for its great power, so it wasn’t surprising that Zane, who carried their blood, was also gifted.
The most astonishing fact was that he had awakened so early.
Luis had never heard of a twelve-year-old successfully awakening.
Despite their hostility, Luis couldn’t help but approach him.
He descended to the area where Zane was fighting.
The boy clearly had sharp senses. Luis was still 30 meters in the air when Zane noticed him.
His eyes quickly looked up, narrowing sharply when he saw it was a human, then widening in shock as he recognized Luis.
"You," he said.
"We meet again, kid," Luis replied with a faint smile.
He wasn’t sure if Zane still suspected him or not, but either way, it didn’t matter.
"Congratulations on your awakening. It seems your spirit is quite powerful," Luis continued.
Whoosh!
He descended faster and landed in front of him.
There were still many rat monsters around. They charged directly at Luis upon seeing him.
However, he simply released his aura calmly, and they were instantly suppressed, collapsing helplessly.
Zane could only stare in astonishment at the sight.
Of course, his expression quickly turned annoyed.
"Are you here to show off? I just awakened this afternoon. Wait until I advance further, and then we’ll see who’s stronger," he said.
He knew Luis wasn’t weak, but his knowledge of Luis’s true strength was still limited.
Luis just smiled faintly at his words.
That went without saying. Sooner or later, he would find out for himself.
"You’re the one hiding Isadonna," the boy suddenly said.
"You still suspect me?" Luis was stunned.
"All the evidence points to you. I’ve investigated. Just wait. I’ll report this to my family, and we’ll capture you and search all locations connected to you," Zane declared.
Luis: "..."
BANG!
Luis struck his shoulder, knocking him down.
"You?" He stared in pain, seemingly unable to stand again.
Of course, he truly couldn’t stand. Luis’s strike had drained his energy without injuring him, causing a light trauma that required rest before he could move again.
"What do you plan to do?" he asked.
"Kidnap you as well," Luis answered.
This was a very convenient place to kidnap him. Rather than letting him continue to be a nuisance, it was better to take him too.
Afterward, the Whitemoon Family could think their enemies had devised a sinister plan to kidnap their younger generation.
"So it’s true—you are the culprit," Zane said, eyes wide.
"Yes..." Luis didn’t deny it anymore.
"Isadonna is currently living at my house. Do you know one fact? She’s happily staying at my home and will even marry me..." Luis said everything truthfully.
"Where did you learn to spout such nonsense?" Zane asked.
Of course, Luis knew he wouldn’t believe it.
He replied, "You’ll find out for yourself soon enough. In fact, you’ll be a witness for the bride at our wedding."
After saying that, Luis called Lifeborn to grow slightly and carry the boy.
Zane immediately recognized it as Lifeborn—something that was supposed to only exist as a single entity owned by Isadonna.
Which meant Luis had stolen it.
Luis took off again, using his wind power to fly while Lifeborn carried the helpless Zane.
Luis still wasn’t done fighting, so naturally, he didn’t head home yet.
As he climbed higher than the clouds, Zane could only watch in awe.
In no time, they arrived above the tall mountains not far from Velos 33.
These were snowy mountains, very cold and swept by strong winds at their peaks.
Loud roars echoed endlessly from the mountains.
Luis saw many large snow bears wandering the snowy peaks.
However, according to his detection, they were only Level 4 or 5. He didn’t even see any at Level 6, let alone Level 7.
Since he was already Level B, he was only looking for Level 7 monsters.
Luis thought it was unlikely that there were no Level 7 monsters—it was probably just that they were hiding inside their dens.
Luis landed on one of the largest mountains.
Snow bears were a type of monster that were huge even compared to other monsters. Even Level 4 and 5 ones were dozens of meters tall.
Only when Luis landed did he realize how enormous they were.
He looked like an ant among a group of giants.
Seeing a tiny human, they seemed curious. Perhaps they rarely saw humans, since they couldn’t live comfortably outside snowy environments, and Levels 4 and 5 were still too strong for most Awakeners.
Awakener rarely come to these mountains unless they are strong enough.
"Hmph!" One bear charged towards Luis with a cold snort.
Its snort produced extremely cold air.
It seemed to regard Luis as nothing more than a small snack.
Its attack method was to try to swallow him whole.
Its mouth was wide open, revealing a row of large yellow teeth with long fangs designed to tear the skin of its prey.
It was only Level 5, but its mouth alone looked like a cave to Luis.
Since it was attacked, he naturally had to fight back.
Buzz!
He breathed fire from his mouth.
