Chapter 1541: Chapter 31: The Thousand-Year-Old Secret_2 Chapter 1541: Chapter 31: The Thousand-Year-Old Secret_2 “There’s a galaxy inside the ice cave, no one would believe if you told them…”
Tang Luo, stunned by the Star Sea, touched the shadow of the bright star in front of him and muttered unconsciously, “It really is fake.”
“This is the largest Shadow Stone brought back from the Endless Void by our ancestors, and it’s also the largest one in Xiehe.”
The voice that emerged under the galaxy brought Tang Luo back to reality, and a figure appeared on the opposite bank of the galaxy, nodding at Tang Luo who was exploring.
“Junior Tang Luo, greetings to Master Lingxiao!”
Tang Luo bowed respectfully with his hands clasped towards the man on the opposite bank of the galaxy.
“No need for such formality.”
The man standing across the galaxy looked up at the galaxy above his head and asked Tang Luo, “Would the Void Grandmaster be interested in hearing an old story?”
“It would be my honor.”
Tang Luo replied respectfully.
“Once there was a child, curious about everything, especially the stars above. At the age of four, he made a solemn vow to pluck the Moon.”
“Others only laughed when they heard it, taking no child’s words seriously, only his parents didn’t mock him but encouraged him, saying that through continuous cultivation, he could eventually reach the stars and grasp the Moon.”
“From that day on, the child’s goal in cultivation was to seize the Moon. However, those were hard times, with beasts and demons devouring humans everywhere. Although the man’s tribe was powerful, they still had to relocate due to demon attacks.”
“There were casualties in battles, and as the boy’s parents died one after the other at the hands of demons, the dream of seizing the Moon was temporarily put aside as the young man vowed to eradicate all demons in the world.”
“Before long, the young man earned the recognition of more tribes due to his outstanding combat abilities and was honored as a king.”
“He knew that eradicating demons could not be accomplished by his strength alone, so he shared his martial arts skills and experience.”
“Thanks to the king’s generosity, the Human Race grew stronger, and it only took a hundred years to go from being chased by demons to launching a counterattack.”
“With the demons expelled, the Human Race became the masters of the land, but the man was not happy because he realized he might never achieve his dream of seizing the Moon in his lifetime.”
The man vividly narrated the story of the young man, pointing at the bright moon among the stars, and the scene zoomed in rapidly like an aurora, leaving the galaxy completely behind.
As the distance between them closed, the true appearance of the moon gradually revealed itself–it was enormous, hanging in the Xiehe sky like a jade disk!
Tang Luo displayed shock timely, as if seeing the true face of the moon for the first time.
“Turns out, every bright star in the sky is a world of its own. The king excitedly gathered his old friends and companions to share this great discovery. But to most people, what the moon truly looks like is irrelevant.”
“These short-sighted people don’t realize that if the moon is an island, then could this entire galaxy be different worlds?”
At this point, the man paused, and Tang Luo exclaimed, “Impossible! Do you mean to say, senior, that each bright star in this galaxy is its own world?”
The man, very satisfied with Tang Luo’s expression, continued, “Of course not all. So-called solo Yin does not thrive, nor does lone Yang prosper. Most bright stars lack the completeness of the Five Elements, how could they be called perfect worlds?”
“Now a king, the man, having discovered the vast galaxy, was inspired to explore the boundless void. He wanted to see if Xiehe really was the only Central Earth continent, or just the arrogance of the Human Race.”
“The king entrusted all his authority to trusted old friends and companions, and set out alone on the path to explore the void!”
The man’s fingers danced lightly, and the images from the Shadow Stone began to flow smoothly, objectively capturing the scenes from the king’s journey as they passed before their eyes.
The King searched for life among the stars, but after spending more than a month in migratory leaps, he mostly found disappointment–the silent, desolate star islands seemed to mock him soundlessly.
Yet, there was not a single look back in the images of the Shadow Stone, the King’s spirits always high, never showing despair even when stranded on desolate star islands.
Finally, after enduring dozens of long disappointments, the King arrived at a peculiar star domain.
In this star domain, there was a stable, red-glowing, blazing fireball, around which six differently colored celestial bodies orbited.
Among them, two special celestial bodies emitted an aura starkly different from the rest on the Star Path–it was the aura of life!
On the Shadow Stone, the King stealthily infiltrated a green star island and indeed found traces of life; it was the first time he had encountered life during his prolonged drift through the Endless Void.
However, this world was still in its primitive stage, with tree spirits, water spirits, and stone demons merely living and reproducing according to their instincts, in an endless cycle.
Generously, the King scattered Spiritual Power into the great river, then elegantly departed.
The situation on the blue planet was not much different; it was a world notified by savage giant beasts, where mountain-sized creatures fought each other– the robust vital essence almost as formidable as the Dragon Beasts of Xiehe.
After watching a few battles with great interest, the King left the planet and continued his journey through the void.
Perhaps fortune was on his side, as after that, the King discovered several additional life-bearing and uniquely shaped star islands.
There were colossal trees rooted in the void, their branches leafing out into nine worlds with diverse customs;
There were islands of fiery magma, yet giving birth to fire spirits and fire beasts;
And there were worlds of chaos and darkness, inhabited by ferocious creatures without eyes, battling and fleeing in shadows.
The scene finally paused on a special star system from the perspective of the Shadow Stone, where one could see a massive ape engaged in combat with a Peng bird of unknown wingspan.
The fierce and domineering demon aura made the King quietly retreat, the Shadow Stone turning around for the first time, with the imagery halting there.
“The King ended his drift and returned to Xiehe because he realized that in the vast Endless Void, there lay many powers unmatched by Xiehe.”
The man implied, “He wanted to lead the Human Race once more to preempt potential future risks, yet everyone thought this was merely the King spreading fear to seize power.”
“The King was furious, wanting to invite those old friends to appreciate the Shadow Stone, but they were too frightened to even meet.”
“The King was utterly disappointed with these old friends, demanding the return of his rights but was denied.”
“One of the oldest friends who had accompanied the King for the longest suggested that if he could kill the Dragon King still entrenched in Xiehe, they would agree.”
“Yet, when the King triumphantly beheaded the Dragon King, a despicable ambush occurred, leading to the King’s downfall, and the secret of the Shadow Stone was preserved to this day.”
“The King’s tale ends here, but the story of the Human Race must not end!”
The man looked at Tang Luo and earnestly said, “The Han Family’s restoration isn’t to regain lost power, but to steer the Human Race onto the right path!”
“Look at the present Xiehe; martial arts have flourished for a millennium, the Human Race is prosperous indeed, but under the representation of those holy lands, tribes that once united against the Demon Race have become fragmented. Beyond the superficial peace among the upper layers, the lower echelons are embroiled in relentless strife. The Human Race’s cruelty to its own kin surpasses that of demons!”
“Therefore, does the Void Grandmaster wish to help the Han Family lead the Human Race onto the right path?”
