I Can See Your Combat Power -
Chapter 1511 - Chapter 1511 Chapter 16 Life and Death
Chapter 1511: Chapter 16: Life and Death Chapter 1511: Chapter 16: Life and Death Talented and powerful Blood Beasts of the Demon Race were eventually driven to extinction by the Human Race, largely due to problems of inheritance.
While human warriors grew stronger with each generation, there was little change among the Demon Race.
Innate strength bred innate arrogance. Even a mighty Demon King like the Blood God did not understand the relationship between stages of Spiritual Power; nor did he know that Realm Hearts adrift in the Endless Void, deprived of nourishment from Spiritual Power, could never rebirth Spirit Spirits.
Thus, as the Blood God saw no sign of the Spirit Spirits awakening, his restlessness grew; not only due to endless solitude but also due to his inner worries.
Trapped for a millennium, his familiar Xiehe had long since ceased to exist. If anything in the world still mattered to him, it was only his arch-enemies and old friends.
Although fairly straightforward, the Demon Kings were not fools. The prolonged non-rebirth of the Spirit Spirits led the Blood God to consider the worst-case scenario.
Yet stubbornly he rejected this assessment, insisting it was merely a lack of energy.
Afterward, the blood-red Spirit Realm no longer evaded, recklessly crashing through the chaos of the Void.
Vast blood seas engulfed remnants of civilization; raging Blood Beasts tore countless spirits in the spirit walls to shreds; ownerless Spirit Realms were obliterated, reduced to basic nourishment, but the soul of the Blood God Overlord grew increasingly frail.
“Fox, I can’t hold on much longer.”
From the blood spring of the underground palace emerged a bat face full of sorrow, “At most, after two more collisions, the Spirit Spring will dry up, and then…”
The Endless Void was the ultimate coffin for saint-class beings of the Demon Race. As they reached their life’s end, to prevent coveting of their sacred blood and bodies by foes, they would retreat into the Void, never to return. Although the Blood God Overlord wasn’t a saint, his notoriety was even greater, making the Void a fitting grave.
The drifting, blood-colored Spirit Realm once again collided with a pure white Spirit Realm. The friction from the collision cracked the walls; the blood-colored one, surprisingly outmatched, was on the brink of annihilation.
The vibrant pure white Spirit Realm teemed with infinite vitality. While ecstatic, the Blood God Overlord also felt some regrets.
“If only I had encountered it earlier!”
With only the Spiritual Power he still had, tearing open the barriers of the pure white Spirit Realm was beyond him, unless…
The Blood God Overlord made up his mind after much pondering.
“Nine Heavens Mysterious Evil, I command thee.”
“Blood Fiend as the guide, all evil unite.”
“Great Blood Fusion Technique!”
The immense blood face outside the underground palace chanted somberly. The fiendish soul of the King Realm transformed into a whirlpool, drawing and merging the power of four Spirit Springs and all the Blood Slaves within the Spirit Realm, including those bound to the outer blood-red barriers, all turning into energy poured into the soul.
As tremendous Evil Qi was absorbed, the bat Demon King once again felt that overpowering strength.
The blood giant, with feet planted in the void, roared mightily at the pure white Spirit Realm, unleashing numerous beams of Blood Fiend Divine Light.
The sturdy barriers of the pure white realm were torn apart, revealing lush forests and mountain ranges within it, their Spiritual Power rapidly dispersing in the chaotic flow, intoxicating the blood giant.
“What a nourishing Spirit Realm this is, but alas…”
With another step, the blood giant enveloped the unprotected Spirit Realm under a blood-red sky. The endless Blood Fiend transformed into a vast blood sea, greedily devouring everything within the Spirit Realm.
Countless Pointed-Ear beings screamed, raising bows and arrows to attack, but these arrows, filled with the essence of life, were exactly the kind of nourishment the Blood God Overlord relished the most.
Under the assault of these Pointed-Ear beings, the Blood God Overlord grew even more powerful, the blood sea surging and flooding the jungles rich with wooden elemental Spiritual Power.
The Pointed-Ear beings cried out in despair, then were submerged by hands reaching from the blood sea, transformed into Blood Slaves by the infecting Blood Fiend.
This world was vast, but the Blood God Overlord was in a hurry, as the Great Blood Fusion Technique unleashed by his spirit could only last so long, and he had much left to do.
The blood sea surged rapidly, turning green lands into a red abyss and countless blood-afflicted Pointed-Ears turned their weapons to slaughter their own kin.
Countless beasts and birds were devoured whole, becoming power, their intense, unwilling spirits turning what was once a paradise-like Spirit Realm into a terrifying blood sea hell.
Most of the Pointed-Ear beings could only flee to mountaintops, tearfully watching their home devoured by the blood sea, helpless.
But some Pointed-Ears, masters of elemental power, gathered to either draw ancient formations or chant old spells, calling on their true gods.
The Blood God Overlord saw this but did not interfere; instead, he facilitated their efforts.
Finally, when these beings truly awakened the source of the Spirit Realm–a massive tree that rose from the ground, easily piercing the sky and standing tall in the void, so immense and sacred that even the blood sea couldn’t corrupt it.
The Blood God Overlord had destroyed many civilizations over the years, but he had never encountered such a sentient source of a Spirit Realm, and for a moment, even he was taken aback.
As much as it impacted the Demon King, the Pointed-Ear people, desperate in their hearts, saw the Divine Wood as if seeing their own mother. The familiar feeling brought tears streaming down their faces.
And the branches of the giant tree forming nests had a deadly allure for them; they climbed the tree using hands and feet and then frantically hid within those branches as if seeking sanctuary, the Pointed-Ears kneeling and praying in gratitude, thankful for their god’s response.
But perhaps due to the overwhelming richness, those praying and thankful Pointed-Ears soon passed out, and then the nests made of twigs and buds began to close, shrinking tighter and smaller.
