Chapter 464: Chapter 464

“Is this your so-called sincerity?” the man looked at her displeased.

Su Zixi could only blush and let go of his hand, “Well, I will try my best to cooperate with you in the future…”

“Oh, how will you cooperate?” He Jingyao’s voice grew slightly hoarse.

“You’ll know tonight…” Su Zixi glanced away evasively.

She refused to believe that this man didn’t understand her, yet he deliberately made her say it out loud!

He Jingyao chuckled softly, clearly pleased as he pecked her lips forcefully, “Good, I’ll be waiting.”

Su Zixi, with her face red, left his embrace, “I’m so hungry, I’m going to eat now.”

However, after taking only a few steps out, she still couldn’t help but look back, hesitantly starting, “Jingyao…”

The man had just picked up a document, but upon hearing her voice, he looked up with a smile, “What is it?”

“I remember, when you proposed to me, you said that you were the most faithful man in history,” Su Zixi’s gaze wavered slightly, “so you won’t cheat, right?”

He Jingyao, as if enlightened, spoke with a smile that was not quite a smile, “But how come I remember someone generously telling me that if I fell for someone else, all I had to do was let her know, and she would never pester me. Could I be mistaken?”

Su Zixi panicked at once!

She rushed back and slumped onto his legs, gazing up at him with puppy eyes, “I regret it now…”

“Hmm?” The man’s dark eyes held a hint of ambiguous humor.

“…You can’t fall for someone else,” Su Zixi pleaded pitifully, “He Jingyao, you can’t be so cruel.”

He couldn’t send her to Heaven with his own hands, and then personally cast her down to Hell. If that day ever arrived, she was certain she’d crumble.

The man looked intently at her, then suddenly curled his finger at her, “I’ll tell you a secret.”

Su Zixi immediately leaned into his embrace, all ears.

“As long as you keep me well-fed, I won’t have the energy to stray,” the man laughed with a light and breezy disposition, pinching her soft little hand, “So work hard.”

Su Zixi: “…”

This man was like a ravenous wolf that could never be satiated. Even if she broke herself into pieces, it would be hard to fill him up!

Su Zixi cast a grievous glance at him, “You might as well cheat…”

He Jingyao looked at her with a partly amused expression, “What did you say?”

“Nothing, nothing!” Su Zixi quickly shook her head, “I’m going to eat now…”

With that said, she ran off toward the dining room.

At that moment, Butler Li happened to walk in, his pace somewhat hurried.

“Young Master.” He looked at He Jingyao, a trace of joy on his face, “Miss Ye has arrived, hoping to see you.”

He Jingyao raised an eyebrow, “Is she alone?”

“Yes.” Butler Li looked at He Jingyao expectantly, “Would you like to see her?”

He Jingyao pondered briefly, “Let her in.”

Su Zixi hadn’t gone far yet and upon hearing this, she quickly turned around and sat down beside He Jingyao, with a face prepared for battle.

He Jingyao turned to look at her, barely suppressing a laugh, “Weren’t you hungry?”

“Not really that hungry,” said Su Zixi nonchalantly, “Since we have a visitor, how could I, as the lady of the house, not keep her company?”

When she said the words “lady of the house,” there was a distinct bite to them.

Butler Li seemed disapproving, but since He Jingyao did not object, he could only helplessly shake his head and stride out.

Before long, Ye Shutong walked in.
