Casandra was ready to stride away when Max called her out and asked her to take Erza with her.

Max, seeing Casandra was behaving, put his attention on Erza, who was trying to be as lowkey as possible.

His tone shifted from being stern to the easy going then shifted to soft warm like he is trying to please his lover.

Though never even once did he look away from the beautiful face of Erza, his latter of his speech was obviously targeted towards Casandra.

’Why does she hate me? What did I do wrong?’

Erza was not paying attention to anything that was happening, trying to tone off the voice as much as possible.

But the moment her eyes landed on him, she was stunned into oblivion.
