Max’s eyes met with that mature lovely woman’s deep dark eyes, who turned out to be Vivienne Kingswell, the mother of the heroine.

At this moment right now, he felt like he integrated into heaven and earth becoming part of it, as if he achieved nirvana.

This was a new feeling to him, he can feel the care and love of his surroundings, from the air that was grazing on his cheeks, from the temperature in the room, from literally the space he was existing in to make him feel loved.

Vivienne was stunned gazing at Max in trance as everything else stopped existing, only he was in her field of vision, only he was important enough to be cared for by her.

Her heart was beating rapidly, her pupils were dilated as if not wanting to miss out on even the slightest part of him.

Her whole body was shaking as goosebumps appeared on her body, her stomach was feeling churning, making her anxious and yet she just couldn’t bear to look away from him.

"Ou Ou Ou! Let go of me bitch, Do you want to pull it clean off? Ahh!"

A sharp loud painful shriek of Tess rang in the hall, taking Vivienne out of her trance as he looked down, seeing she was still pulling onto Tess ear.

She quickly let it go in shock as it turned red and swell a little.

Tess, getting the opportunity to quickly make a run for it, goes hiding behind Max as in her eyes only he can protect her from this old hag.

"*Sniff* Max Max, Look she hurt me."

Afterwhich like an injured child she started sniffling, showing Max her reddish ears ranting about the injustice as she tattled on Vivienne.

Max saw her acting like this and was taken aback for a moment. It’s hard to gauge her personality, at one moment she is an arrogant rich second-generation and the next she is a pitiful small daughter.

"Oh you poor thing, Here hold this onto it, It makes you feel better."

Max, though confused is not heartless, He played along with her and even offered her the cold milkshake cup he was still holding, so she can hold onto her ear, easing her pain.

"Wait?! That’s mine right? Why are you giving it to someone else and not m-"

Casandra seeing him handing her milkshake to some other woman rushed towards him asking him about it.

It was their common ritual, every time Max wanted to apologise for his mistakes, He bought her favorite strawberry milkshake.

That’s everything she needed to know he is sorry, There is no need to speak any words.

She saw he was holding onto the milkshake when she came, she was waiting for it when he give it to her.

So she was triggered seeing he handed her thing to someone else. She can share other things of his or him with others but some exclusive things are forbidden to give to others, that are hers alone.

She wanted to go on a rant and ready to snatch the cup from Tess hands when Max cut her off mid sentence.

"Here,if I already take few sip of it but you can take it if you wan-"

Max knew why she was so triggered, so with a smirk, stretched hand and offered her his cup he was drinking from before.

"YES- I mean it’s okay, I don’t mind."

Casandra snatched the cup so fast, her hand created the after images.

She took the cup and hurriedly walked away from him fearing he took it back.

"Is it feeling any better?"

He smiled at her antics as he shook his head, afterwhich he looked at Tess who was holding a cut on her ears but her eyes were following the cup in Cassandra’s hand.

" .....a little."

Her regretful eyes never left the cup from Casandra’s hand, even more so when she saw that woman drinking from the same straw Max was drinking.

And so after dropping line of it was feeling, She trotted towards the Casandra hoping to get some from her.

"That’s great....Anyway, Miss I am Max Winchester, Nice to meet you."

Max clearly seen the jealousy in her eyes and the intention of why she went there but he did not dare to stop her.

He just allow her to do what she wants for now, Casandra would not go too far after all, at least in his presence.

So he put his attention back onto Vivienne who was still standing still, looking at him without even blinking.

Well to be honest she was not the only one who was in trance looking at him.
